In a physical encounter both teams quickly snapped into tackles and Beechy had an early chance but Joe Kelly couldn't add the required finish. Cole Higson went close via a header but with neither side giving an inch it was no real surprise to see a 0-0 scoreline at half time. The second half produced a similar pattern with both teams fully committed to the task but Beechy lacked the killer pass. With the game looking to end as a draw Beechy had a bit of luck with the ball when Harrison Daniels won possession and his pass across the box found Josh Everall who slid the ball into the net in the 89th minute. This was a gritty performance from Storm with every player giving a great display against a team that had come down from the leagues top division. Beechy's Player of the Match was Harrison Davies who was brilliant at the back. Result Salford Albion 0 v Beechfield United Storm 1.
