On a poor pitch the hosts made a quick start and Storm found themselves 1-0 down but Beechy responed and equalised via Max O'Brien. FC Oldham's keeper was injured and had to be replaced before Harry Officer gave Storm the lead when he scored direct from a corner. A great finish by Joe Northall saw Beechy increase their lead and Storm were still 3-1 up at half time. In the second half the referee was guilty of three dubious offside decisions in a row but he did make the right decision when he awarded Beechy a penalty. Man of the Match Joe Northall made no mistake with the resulting spot-kick as he fired home the fourth goal. Caleb Hoyes was on target with goal number five and Max O'Brien completed the scoring with a very good finish.
