POSTED: October 06 2026 11:00:23 By Graham Everall - Storm Earn Valid Draw After Heavy Defeat

Following a hard fought game with Salford Albion Beechy Open Age Storm earned themselves a 1-1 draw.

**In this Manchester Saturday Morning League Division 2 home game Max O'Brien went close to giving Beechy the lead in the first minute. Storm were given a warning when some counter-attacking by Saford Albion created the visitors chances to score. After Storm won a corner the ball broke kindly for Albion and at the end of that move the visitors went 1-0 up. Beechy huffed and puffed as they looked for an equaliser but they couldn't find the vital killer pass. In the second half Storm had two efforts cleared off the line before Aiden Lawton pounced on a cross and fired the ball home for 1-1. Both teams had chances to win this hard fought game but at the end this was a fair result.

Storm Squad was Tom Gilbert, Sam Everall, Harrison Daniels, Oliver Lawton, Sonny O'Brien, Max O'Brien, Jacob Higson, Harry Officer, Evan Hodgson-Griffiths, Jack Downie, Rory Howcroft, Joe Melling, Will Wright, Aiden Lawton.
