- Storm Denied Victory After Leading 3-0
Looking for a moral boosing victory Beechfield United Open Age Storm threw away a 3-0 lead in their Division 2 away game with Fielden Park.
After two weekend's without a game Beechy Storm were back in action on 21/2/2026 in the Manchester Saturday Morning League. With just thirteen players available Storm made the best possible start against Fielden Park when Josh Everall gave them the lead after the ball had hit the post. Alan Kay, Louis Al Khalil and Max O'Brien all went close to hitting the target as Beechy played some very good football. Eventually Storm were rewarded when Louis Al Khalil added their second goal following good work by Max O'Brien and Beechy went 3-0 up via Will Hibbs who supplied a great finish from the edge of the area. Storm were punished for a poor start in the second half when Fielden Park scored two quick goals and Beechy were suddenly under real pressure after the hosts made it 3-3. But Storm managed to regain the lead thanks to Josh Everall who scored his second goal of the goal from a corner but Beechy were denied all three points when Fielden Park completed the scoring near the end.
