**Match Report
Flixton Panthers U9s 6-2 BEECHFIELD UTD LIGHTNING U9s

Despite the scoreline, Lightning put up a brave and spirited performance against a highly physical and experienced Panthers team.

Match Summary
First Half:
Under the bright Trafford sunshine, both teams started the game with high energy, matching each other blow for blow in the early exchanges. Defensively, Beechfield looked sharp, with Rupert and Isaac executing superb tackles to disrupt the Panthers' rhythm, while Carter provided composed and strong defending at the back.
The deadlock was broken by a moment of individual brilliance from Beechfield's debutant, Nahshon. He embarked on an excellent solo run, slicing through the Panthers' defence to fire Lightning into a well-deserved lead.
Flixton responded quickly, drawing level with a clinical, close-range finish. Shortly before the break, the Panthers took the lead, capitalizing on their momentum with a powerful long-range effort to make it 2–1 at half-time.

Second Half
The Panthers extended their lead early in the second half, turning in a rebound after a brilliant initial save from Beechfield goalkeeper Lucas.
Lightning refused to back down. Nathan showed immense courage to engineer a goalscoring opportunity, only to see his effort agonizingly whistle past the wrong side of the post. Moments later, Beechfield found their reward. Nahshon made a smart, timed run behind the defence and finished calmly to bag his second goal of the match and pull Lightning right back into the contest.
As Flixton pushed back, goalkeeper Lucas pulled off a truly remarkable quadruple save, single-handedly keeping Lightning in the game with outstanding reflexes. However, the Panthers eventually broke through again with another spectacular long-range strike.
Beechfield threw everything forward in the closing stages. Henry showcased his pace and power with a direct run past two Flixton players, but his final shot was well saved by the Panthers' keeper. Nahshon also came close to completing a debut hat-trick, sending another excellent run and shot just wide of the post.
With Lightning pushed high up the pitch searching for goals, Flixton exploited the space, scoring two late goals on the counter-attack to seal the 6–2 scoreline. Despite the late pressure, Carter continued to stand firm, displaying strong and resilient defending until the final whistle against a physical forward line.

Player of the Match: Nahshon – An incredible debut performance, scoring two excellent goals and posing a constant threat that could have easily yielded a hat-trick.
This was the third match completed for the newly formed Beechfield Lightning U9s and the first away from home. Although there were some nerves in the team, it provided more invaluable match experience against a seasoned opponent. With the team building chemistry every week, the squad looks forward to next week's fixture, where they hope to have a full squad available for the first time this season. Report by Ian McCormack.

Bodie Morrison
Alvin Bamigboye

Finley Moran
Toby Clayton
Elliot Evans
Moroti Fifo
Micha Aaron (New addition)
Jaydon Toader (left the club)

Manager: Sean Morrison.
Coaches: Chris Nixon, Nick Moran

A quiet, bright morning. Our burning ball of plasma star hanging low on the horizon, beaming stunning rays of light across Beechfield, the droplets of dew glistening like diamonds, teased into morphing to mist, the micrometre droplet size too large to prevail.
What a morning for a cup match!
Bodie and Toby, the usual early birds, risking wet feet and numb toes braved an early pitch setup, practicing their driving runs and shooting.
The opposition only having 6 players forced lightning to also only play with 6, change up formation and have extra subs at the annoyance of the boys who had a good warm up, full on Team camaraderie and were raring to go!
A fast start by the opposition, a bobbling ball fooling the defence enabling a rapid drive and quick goal for P&C, much to the delight of their crowd. The Beechy boys managed to have a good laugh about the error and didn’t have any concern, then they switched on and started to play:
The training mid-week now flowing well into the matches, passing, attacking football with a hard work ethic throughout and above all the lads enjoying it. Finley running midfield with some of the finest passing and goals to match, captain for the day ensuring the Team kept the pressure on. Elliot had a screamer too, up and down the wings like a yoyo, closing down threats supporting the lone defender and attacking at pace, bag full of goals for him too! His one special run from fly keeper and smashing the ball in the net capped it off, what a player. Toby, a powerhouse across the park had some great battles and time and time again made the chances to open up space and get his shots off, he will be breaking some nets this season, couple of goals from him too! Mo, up front had to be brought off to try and give the opposition a chance once we went up by 5 goals, his speed, positive aggression and desire is something else. Bagging six today with a spell in net, his smile said it all. Slotted into the team so well and leads from the front. Bodie starting at the back was given a spell up front to help develop his attacking and goal confidence, his passing and reading of the game was as usual on top form but today he managed a hat trick, his comment of he ‘should have had more’ making us laugh. Alvin, his strength speed and agility gives him the upper hand and takes the souls from the attacking players when they think they are clean through, only for him to make it back with a challenge, he created several wonderful chances as well as setting others up, another who will be breaking the nets in time to come. Angelo keen to get involved today and so unlucky not to get on the scoresheet, he has developed his running and dribbling skills so much he nearly did a giggsy taking on the whole team and getting a shot off, trusted at the back to close down play he bossed it superbly.
Bobby called into action a few times was solid in net, brought out as striker in the second half his trademark goal hanging and volley nearly paying off straight away but then he did get on the scoresheet with a well taken goal and tried poaching another! Great exciting play from him. Brayden, as you would have no doubt he would; unleashed his thunder shots, bagging 4 goals and ripping the net. Tackling, composure, passing dribbling he showed it all! Micha, brought into the team following Jayden moving on had a great debut, bagging goals and showing what potential he has, man of the match voted by the boys, a nice welcome to the team. The opposition managed to get a second goal while we had no keeper and it was a shame we couldn’t give them players to even things up as we have done in league matches. The boys didn’t over celebrate and respected the players.
A good run out for the lads to try new positions and build confidence, lots still to work on believe it or not.. 26-2. ⚽️⚽️⚽️🏆👏☀️Report by Sean Morrison.

**BEECHFIELD UTD STORM U10's 7 - 1 Old Trafford Aces*

*Challenge Cup, 1st round*
⚽️
Max x3
Nathan x2
Jose x2
🅰️
Nathan x2
Jacob
Rio
James

Storm sailed into the 2nd round of the cup with seven of the best - despite the score the game was evenly contested at points but it was the sky blues who progressed!

Alfie again resumed his place in net with Nathan making his first appearance of the season at the back with Rio, Jacob (Captain) & Arman in midfield with Max & James on the wings. Josh & Jose as subs.

Old Trafford started the brightest as Storm looked to play from the back but causing a lot of their own errors with misplaced passes going to opposition. Warning signs as Alfie was called into a save really early on from distance.

The Old Trafford onslaught continued with a long shot finding its way over Alfie despite getting a hand to it.

Storm really did look all at sea though Rio was a real stand out battling and winning the ball, trying to get stuff going from the back though nothing was sticking. The scoreline really should’ve been two as Alfie made a couple of special saves from the top left and top right corner.

Storm started to fashion chances but were wasteful with shots flashed wide by Max and Jacob. An early tactical switch was required as James dropped into defence & Nathan moved into midfield with Jose also coming on.

The game in the first started to turn as Storm started to get control though it looked like it could’ve been one of those days - a host of chances going across the team with Jose, Nathan & Max all having golden chances missed or saved by the goal keeper.

Injury stricken Josh showed his absolute steel battling in midfield and also going on a combative run though being he was sporting a swollen knee drove the team forward inspiring the team. From a defensive action Rio who really had a mega first half played the ball through to Nathan who galloped forward, brushing the defender off and accurately finishing.

Winning the ball at the back James played long again to Nathan who jinked one way and another before crossing the ball to Jose. He took a touch and finished sweetly with his weaker foot.

With the coaches encouraging the boys to play simple football & what seemed to be a rousing huddle led by Jacob & Nathan Storm really stepped up a gear.

Max having had a couple of chances in the second half showed determination to win the ball high up, skinned a defender and smashed it in from 8 yards having had a long ball from James punted forward.

OT did push back and saw a couple of smart stops from Alfie safe hands - one low which he made look easy, another low shot which he tipped round the post and one looking for the top left which he turned round the post.

Having weathered that storm they sprung their own. Arman now on the left wing was causing havoc & somehow flashing a shot wide from max who crossed in. The creator then became the goal scorer as Nathan drifted onto the right and assisted Max for his brace.

Max sealed his hattrick for his purple patch in the second half; self made winning a scramble, dancing round the defence and finishing at the near post.

Jacob captain for the day had been doing a lot of the teams dirty work had won the ball in midfield, played diagonally across to Jose who finished into the bottom left corner.

Finally the cherry on the top as Nathan took the ball on the left from a kick in steaming it into the bottom corner from distance.

*MOTM*
*Alfie* - saves his best performances for old Trafford and did it again today. A host of brilliant saves from every direction, very safe throughout with literally nothing spilled & at points when Storm looked shaky kept the team on its feet.

*Parents Player*
Some stand outs with Nathan’s return bringing magic when needed, top scorer Max with another hattrick & Rio who played like Rio Ferdinand though the award went to *James* - with Josh carrying an injury James was asked to swap to an unfamiliar position of defence and was brilliant. Combative, vocal and disciplined today with a number of important challenges as well as getting the back forward, starting attacks from the back.Report by Dan Robinson.

**Deans Lions U10's vs BEECHFIELD UTD TORNADOES U10's

Oscar (C) 🅰️
Amir
Kayden
Gary ⚽️⚽️⚽️🏆
Ralph
Ellis 🅰️
Ezra
Arlo
Leo

The first half of this game was evenly balanced Lions went ahead with a thunderous strike from the half way line into the top corner. The Tornadoes fought back and relentless hunting at goal kicks paid dividends for Gary to nick the ball and slot a calm finish past the Lions keeper. 1-1 at half time.
The start of the second half the Tornadoes switched off and allowed the Lions to take a 3-1 lead. Heads dropped momentarily. The Tornadoes found a way back into the game with a perfect through ball from the right wing by Oscar to Gary who again calmly slotted past the keeper. With less than 5 minutes left the the game was brought even with a fantastic assist from Ellis on the left wing to put Gary in for his hat trick! (Only his second game for Tornadoes unbelievable!🏆)

Despite goals and saves in the penalty shootout the Tornadoes lost 3-2.

Had this been a league game that ended 3-3 the mood would have been intense rescuing a draw in the last minutes! So proud of the fight the team put in. Just not our day on penalties unfortunately! but we definitely go again ! ⚽️Report by Aaron Hall.

**BEECHFIELD UTD U/12's STORM 1 - 4 Hindley Town
Bolton Bury and District League Section B.

I thought our performance was good today. We had a lot of chances and on another day we may have taken them and scored and probably won that game. At times the lads played some really good football and it was a joy to watch. I told them at the end of the game not to be too disappointed as our performance was good and we definitely showed signs of improvement. We just need to keep pushing forward with training and matches and we will get there.
There is room for improvement and we will work on that in training.
But overall I was happy with the lads performance today and I honestly didn’t think they deserved to lose that game today.
MOTM went to Mo as I thought he was solid in defence and was really strong and gave it his best which is what we want to see.
Bobby also got a shout out as well but he had to leave straight after the game. He was very unlucky not to get a hat trick today.

Thanks everyone for helping with setting up the pitch and putting it away. Hope you all enjoy your weekend and I’ll see you all at training on Tuesday 💪🏻💪🏻😎😎⚽️⚽️Report by Mark Chambers.

**BEECHFIELD UTD U13's TORNADOES 6-1 Fletcher Moss Rangers Yellow (Cup)

⚽️ Josh Green x 5
⚽️ Grayson Evans
🅰️ Dawood Fakeeh x2
🅰️ Jack Sinclair x 2
🅰️ Josh Green
🏅 Josh Green

We went into todays cup match looking for our first win of the season. Out opponents were 2 divisions higher than us so we expected a tough battle.

Like so many of our games this season we started on the front foot but didn't crete much in the first few minutes as both teams were finding each other out in the early exchanges. With our first real chance, Dawood Fakeeh won the ball in the oppositions box, played it to Josh Green who fired home. The goal boosted our confidence and we were soon 2 nil up after Josh burst through to get onto the end of a Jack Sinclair goal kick, 2-0. The same pair linked up again this time Josh reacted first after a long range Jack S attempt was saved and we led by 3, a first half Josh hattrick! Josh wasn't done however and made it 4 with another well placed low effort after winning the ball himself. Shortly after it was 5 for Josh after getting on the end of another Dawood pass, and just before half time we made it 6 when Josh hit the post, but the ball rebounded to Grayson Evans who made it 6-0 at half time!

At half time we spoke about keeping the levels up, the target was to win the 2nd half and keep a clean sheet. In the second half however our levels dropped as they have done so many times this season and Fletcher Moss came into the game to be fair to them. They started to create chances and 3 or 4 good saves by Ty Dobson kept our lead intact. We did create ourselves, Jack S, Alex McGrory, Reuben McCormick and Grayson all had chances but the opppsition keeper saved or we missed the target. We missed a penalty to make it 7-0 before we lost our clean sheet when Fletcher Moss scored after a scramble. Right at the end Jack S struck a sublime free kick that looked like it went over the line but the ref didn't give it. Final score 6-1!

A well deserved, unexpected, first win of the season for Tornadoes, against higher league opposition and we progress to the next round of the cup! Our performance dropped 2nd half yet again however so despite the excellent win we have plenty to work on.

Player of the Match could have gone to Jack Sinclair with 2 assists, a solid defensive display and he was unlucky not to score. But with 5 goals player of the match today had to go to Josh Green. His finishing was exceptional today, much improved from the last couple of games! Well done Josh but more importantly well done team, our first win of the season at the 4th attempt, hopefully many more to come! Go Beechy! ⚽️👕Report by Frank McGrory.

**BEECHFIELD UTD U14's TORNADOES v Bury Ams Falcons

Well you don’t get many 0-0 games at grassroots…

A pretty good even game but one where I thought we were the better team.
Just didn’t take our chances!

Had 6 decent chances, 4 over the bar and 2 hit the post from Chris and Max…

We just lacked that killer touch in front of goal, as the game was there for the taking. The ball was in the air a bit too much at times but we kept going!

2 clean sheets in our last 2 games is brilliant so well done to the lads for defending so well!

We limited Bury to only a few chances which is excellent and when Harvey was needed he made a fantastic save on to the bar.

Motm went to Tyler today who’s been playing really well recently at CB and forming a great partnership with Charlie. We all decided that he deserved it today so well done!👏🏼

See you all tomorrow morning for our County Cup First Gound game v Salford Storm!

I’ll send a reminder later today!

Enjoy your day all 👍🏻⚽️Thanks to Ryan Pugh.
