In terrible wet and windy conditions Thunder made it three wins in three against a hard working Flixton side who did not give up all way through the match, credit to the away team keeper the scoreline would of been a lot more and pulled of some magnificent saves throughout the game. Thunder again showed some great passing and movement with the ball and the majority of the game played against seven so credit to the home side still playing some nice football.
Goalscorers for Thunder where George Lawson one Ronnie Green two Callum Davies four and Aldo Gannon five a great team performance from the boys.
Player of the Match went to George Lawson starting the game upfront and grew in confidence the longer the game went on unlucky not to score more but a fine performance for his team.
Next Week Thunder have a Cup game with a tough match against Salford Storm away and hoping to get the win.

BEECHFIELD UTD LIGHTNING 3 v Winton Wanderers Saints 2
Another week, another Winton opposition! After last week’s Lightning strike blew the Comets off course, the Beechfield boys were looking to make it **three wins on the bounce** against the Saints — and Lightning were off to a flying start! ⚡
From the first whistle, the boys were piling on the pressure, testing the Saints keeper on numerous occasions with wave after wave of attacks. **Mo and Elliot** were causing absolute havoc up front, and eventually the pressure told. Elliot picked his moment perfectly and fired Lightning into the lead with a neat finish from the right wing. ⚡
At the back, **Alvin and Bodie** were rock solid, keeping everything under control, while **Finley and Brayden** were pulling the strings in midfield with some lovely football and looking for that all-important second goal.
And it soon arrived!
Mo's menacing runs and sheer determination to get into the box finally paid off when **Elliot turned provider**, floating a beautiful cross into the danger area. Mo was there to finish superbly and make it **2–0 to Lightning!** ⚡
**Bobby** was called into action when needed, making some important saves, but for large parts of the first half he was enjoying a relatively quiet afternoon thanks to Lightning dominating possession and keeping the Saints pinned back.
**Angelo and Toby** also put their stamp on the game, showing some commanding defensive work alongside some excellent passing to keep Lightning moving forward. **Jayden** came close to adding another, firing a couple of efforts towards goal but unfortunately couldn't find the back of the net.
Then came a little wobble.
The Saints managed to sneak an early goal back, and not long afterwards they found an equaliser after Lightning briefly switched off. Suddenly, what had looked like a comfortable afternoon had turned into a proper battle! 😬
But there was one man who simply wasn't having it...
**MO!** ⚡
Still causing nightmares for the Saints defence, Mo bundled and battled his way through once again before finding the finish to put Lightning back in front and grab his **second goal of the game!**
The boys held their nerve from there to see out a hard-fought **3–2 victory** and make it **three consecutive wins!** ⚡⚡⚡
Another really solid performance from the Beechfield boys, and on another day the scoreline could easily have been even bigger. Plenty of attacking football, some great passing and a whole lot of Lightning pressure!
### ⭐ Man of the Match — Moretti
An absolute **menace** from start to finish! Mo gave the Saints defence a torrid time with his relentless running, strength and determination to get into the box. Two goals to cap it off, and the Saints defenders are probably still having nightmares about him now! ⚡😂
**Three wins on the bounce. The Lightning keeps striking!
**BEECHY U/13's LIGHTNING 2 Chadderton Park - 4
Manchester Youth Super League Division 4.
Well, its amazing to have our first 3 fixtures of the season all go exactly the same way. We play fantastic for 45 minutes and then unfortunately end up losing !!
We started great, Henry Dunn latching on to a fantasic Austin Fillingham through ball and smashing it into the top corner. Then we conceded two sloppy goals when we should have cleared the ball, but we didnt give up. Henry Dunn grabbed his second of the match with a fine finish to make it 2-2 at half time. Both teams had chances in the second half but it was Chadderton that came out on top !
This one was really hard to take, the boys played there socks off but didnt get the luck they deserved.
Im so proud of my team today, well done boys and chin up !!!

BEECHFIELD UTD U/14's TORNADOES 4 v Moss Bank Juniors 0
**Well the weather was horrible this morning wasn’t it but the football and performance today from the lads was first class!
New kit looked great too! 👌🏼
First half, very windy conditions made it difficult for us playing into the wind. The lads quickly learned that the ball needs to be on the ground and not in the air.
I thought we grew into the game as it went on.
We managed a clean sheet! - thought all the team defended well.
If we don’t concede goals, we don’t lose games! Being solid defensively gives us the foundation to build on. Shout out to the defence and Gk!
The passing and moving was much better today. Build up play from the back. Triangle passes and through balls creating good chances!
Standouts:
George - scored the first goal for us! Great moment! Defended very well and used the ball well. Proud of him and hopefully that will give him the confidence to push on!
Ralph - played further forward and did well for us on the right hand side. Got really involved in the second half and you could see his confidence growing as the game went on. Great strike on the free kick where our first goal came from! Good link up play!
Archie - will do a good job in any position and today was at left back. Love watching him play and he defended well, linked up well on the left hand side getting forward when he could!
Zach’s goal from the halfway line….. unbelievable effort from so far out! 👏🏼
Great game and well done to the lads for getting 3 points on the board! Hopefully we can build on it and push on from here!
The only negative today was the bad weather which meant that we didn’t get a team picture unfortunately!!
Please note that we have 2 games next weekend, Saturday and Sunday! League game and county cup first round!
Enjoy your weekend 🔴
**Astley and Buckshaw 5 v BEECHFIELD UTD U/12's STORM 3
Weather conditions were poor when Beechy U/12's Storm (9v9) travelled to play their Section B away game with Astley and Buckshaw. In a good overall team performance goals for Storm were scored by Zaid Yasser (2) and Bobby Lowe. Assists for the goals came via Oscar Pugh and Bobby.
**Swinton U13 Warriors 2-0 v BEECHFIELD UTD U13 TORNADOES
🏅 Aidan Thompson
Bizzarely the fixture computer put us up against Swinton for the second consecutive week and we were looking to avenge last weeks 4-1 loss.
We made a few changes positionally today and there was nothing in the match in the opening exchanges, however we were dealt a blow when Swinton took the lead with their first effort, a good first time finish to be fair following a cross from their left. We continued to battle on however and Jack Sinclair saw an effort tipped over, before Josh Green crossed and Dawood Fakeeh was inches away from getting on the end of the cross with a diving header. Swinton almost made it 2-0 following an error at the back but shot wide. At half time we were down by a goal but very little in it.
Just after half time we were dealt a massive blow when centre back Jack Costello was forced off with an ankle injury, we hope this is not too serious. Despite the setback the game was still really tight. Josh Green was played through and scooped agonisingly wide, before Swinton almost doubled their lead but a great save from Ty Dobson kept them out.
We knew the 2nd goal would be key and it was Swinton who got it with a tremendous effort to be fair, in off the angle, Ty had no chance in our goal. To our credit we never gave up and Jack Sinclair and Harrison Doherty both had chances but we couldnt force the ball home. Full time 0-2.
Despite the defeat the 2nd half performance was much improved from last week, hopefully some slight signs of our improving fitness and desire.
Player of the match was between three, Harrison Doherty was solid and tenacious all match in defence and midfield. Ty Dobson in goal did 3 or 4 great saves and his kicking is getting better every week. But player of the match went to Aidan Thompson today who was cool, calm and composed at the back, little got past him, and put in 100% all match. Well done Aidan. We go again next week with a tricky looking cup tie.

Salford Storm V BEECHFIELD UNITED U'9s TORNADOES
POTM: Franklin
After two weeks of cancelled games we finally take the field for our first game of the season; today we are the guests of Salford Storm FC.
We start the match well, with Eric hitting the post, Theo unleashing a good shot and Rocco forcing the goalkeeper to tip the ball out for a corner.
Despite this promising start, however, Salford Storm take the lead thanks to an unfortunate deflection on our part during one of their corners.
Marco comes on, making his official debut for Beechfield. Franklin stands out in goal with some fine saves but is powerless to stop Salford Storm from doubling their lead.
After Gianluca makes a run that tests the opposing keeper, Franklin makes a good save but cannot stop the rebound, which results in another goal.
The first half ends with us trailing 3–0.
In the second half, Gianluca takes over from Franklin in goal; play continues in the rain, which doesn't bother Eric too much—he quickly scores to make it 1–3, hits the post, and then scores again to bring the score to 2–3 following a precise pass from Franklin.
Gianluca makes a great save but is helpless against two further strikes from the opposing forwards that put Salford Storm 5–2 ahead. Rocco tests the keeper with a fine shot. The match ends with another goal for Salford, sealing a 6–2 final score, with everyone present soaked by the rain.

What a comeback! What a performance! What a team! 🔥
A tough away game saw us 2–1 down at half time, but the boys showed incredible character to turn it around and come away with a brilliant 4–3 victory.
⚽ Arlo opened the scoring after great quick thinking from Oscar’s kick-in.
⚽ Amir levelled things with more quick thinking and a wonderful strike across the keeper.
⚽ Oscar made it 3–3 after picking up a great position and a fantastic run and assist from Arlo.
⚽ Ralph then scored the winning goal on his birthday! 🎂🎉 — with a cool turn and finish following Oscar’s excellent assist.
There were brilliant performances all over the pitch.
🧤 Cormac was so assured, made some great saves and distributed brilliantly.
🛡️ Jayden & Adam were a fantastic partnership, defending strongly and passing out really well.
💨 Ezra & Kayden were constant threats down the wings. Working up and down to keep Tornadoes momentum.
🎯 Oscar was dangerous all game with some unbelievable technique on his crosses. 2 assists and a goal. 🏆
💪 Amir put in a tireless midfield shift. Incredible influence throughout. Great goal.
⭐ Arlo was outstanding — defending, attacking, scoring, assisting and even hitting the bar!
🧠 Leo & Ralph defended intelligently and distributed the ball well.
🔥 Ellis added real presence in midfield and came close to a spectacular goal from halfway! Good saves!
But the biggest positive was the team attitude.
No moaning. No drama. Just getting on with it, resetting our shape and working for each other. We played some fantastic football, mixing patient build-up play with going direct at exactly the right moments.
To come from behind in a tough away match and show that level of character was fantastic.
So incredibly proud of them all. ❤️
And Ralph… what a birthday! 🎂⚽️

**BEECHFIELD UTD TORNADOES U8 v Urmston Meadowside U8
Home Match
Won 7-5
Grayson🧤🏆
Millie
Caius
Harrison ⚽️
Theo Foster
Theo Formosa
Mo-Affan ⚽️
Kyson ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️
From the first whistle we really set the pace for the game as we attacked from the off, within the first minute we went 1-0 up adding another 2 minutes later. 2-0 to the mighty Tornadoes. Urmston never let their heads drop and fought back rigorously with shot after shot, Grayson in our net made some professional standard saves which really kept us in the game at this stage. (He reminded me of another Tornado player playing U10) until they finally made it onto the score sheet. Both teams made some tactical changes changes not long after which worked but unfortunately Urmston were playing stronger and scored 2 goals, 2-3. On the brink on half time Harrison carried the ball from his defensive position up the pitch and scored his first goal for the team. Half time 3-3.
Second half started, we seemed to sit back for a while until Kyson decided he had had enough, he received the ball from the keeper and on he went, he dribbled past the whole of the Urmston outfield team and the keeper didn’t stand a chance wen he hit it. 4-3. This was a great goal which led to many more, I think this goal gave us the kick we needed to switch it up a gear and the ball didn’t see much of our half after that. More goals were to come from Kyson including a superb free kick. Mo didn’t miss the action and scored a great goal himself from close to the corner flag. We had players from all areas of the field now taking shots and making runs and you could see the confidence was sky high.
Final whistle 7-5 to us.
Grayson kept us in the match at times, his awareness of everything happening on the field was great to see. His leadership from the back really kept the team motivated throughout the game. He can be a very commanding playing and today this was needed, it was a unanimous decision from the coach’s and well deserved MOTM.

**⚡BEECHFIELD UTD STORM U'9s 10–3 v Ashley Bridge ⚡
Bolton Bury and District League.
Man of the Match: Jaxx 🏆
Beechfield Storm continued their impressive start to life in the new league with a commanding 10–3 victory over Ashley Bridge.
On a tiny pitch, the boys had to adapt quickly, with space at a premium and every challenge requiring determination and intensity. Storm showed exactly why they are adapting so well to their new surroundings, putting in a performance full of energy, quality and attacking football.
⚽ The Goal Machine — Dan
Dan was on fire, bagging an incredible five goals. The goal machine was running at full speed, playing with aggression and determination while constantly working hard for his teammates.
His five-goal haul was a brilliant reward for the effort he put in throughout the game.
🚀 Ollie’s Overpowered Strikes
Ollie added two fantastic goals, both coming from his trademark powerful shooting. When Ollie gets his shots away, they are travelling with serious power — and the Ashley Bridge keeper simply had no chance of keeping them out.
Two absolute rockets! 🚀
💥 Reni’s Rocket
Reni got himself on the scoresheet with an unbelievable strike from his own six-yard box.
It was a rocket of a goal that flew the length of the pitch and left everyone watching stunned. Definitely one for the highlight reel!
🪄 Louie’s Tricky Feet
Louie grabbed two goals and caused plenty of problems for the Ashley Bridge defence with his tricky feet and willingness to take defenders on.
His ability to run at opponents and create something out of nothing was another big part of Storm's attacking threat.
🔥 Man of the Match — Jaxx
Jaxx was named Man of the Match after a superb all-action performance.
He played with fire in his belly, refusing to give anything away and battling for every ball. His solid tackles and relentless attitude set the tone for the team.
A thoroughly deserved Man of the Match award. 🏆
🐈⬛ Daley “The Cat” — What a Save!
Although Storm were the better side and controlled large parts of the game, Daley “The Cat” was called upon to produce some fantastic saves when Ashley Bridge threatened.
And he certainly delivered.
One moment in particular summed up his performance. After a fumble saw the ball slip out of his hands, the Ashley Bridge striker suddenly had what looked like an open goal.
But Daley wasn't giving up.
The Cat reacted brilliantly, recovering to make a second save before throwing himself into a slide tackle and somehow getting the ball out for a corner with the striker ready to finish.
From fumble ➡️ to recovery ➡️ to slide tackle ➡️ corner!
CLASS 👏🐈⬛
It was the kind of moment that showed Daley's determination and refusal to give up on a ball that looked lost.
🧱 Ezra’s Defensive Class
Ezra was clinical on the ball and equally impressive when defending. He did a great job of keeping the Ashley Bridge attackers at bay before looking up and finding the pass to get Storm moving forward again.
A composed performance at both ends of the pitch.
🏃 Archie’s Endless Running
Archie was up and down the pitch all game, putting in a huge amount of work for the team.
Although he couldn't find the back of the net this time, his shots were peppering the goal and he was constantly looking to make something happen. His work rate and attacking intent were there for everyone to see.
💙 Storm Are Showing Their Level
Beechfield Storm are adapting extremely well to their new league, and performances like this are showing just how much progress the boys are making.
The standard and ability in this league may be a step up from what the boys were used to in the Salford league, but Storm are showing that they belong here. The performances, attitude and quality on display are making one thing very clear:
Beechfield Storm are the real deal. ⚡💙
A fantastic 10–3 victory, another big performance, and plenty more signs that this team is only getting started.
Well done, from the two time champions.
**BEECHFIELD UTD U/10's STORM 8 v Manchester South End 1
⚽️
Jacob x3
Jose x2
Jay x2
Max
🅰️
Rio
Jacob
Max
A brilliant team performance from Storm, with some fantastic football going forward from the 7 of the Storm, plenty of hard work defensively and some excellent saves from Alfie who made his return in goal.
Storm made a flying start, with Jacob opening the scoring with a superb free kick. MSE looked for an immediate response, but Alfie reacted well to a deflected pass to make a good save.
At the other end, Josh saw a powerful effort tipped around the post, before Jose doubled the lead in spectacular fashion, scoring directly from the resulting corner!
MSE pulled one back from a corner of their own, but Storm quickly regained control. Rio played a perfectly weighted pass through to Jacob, who showed great composure to find the bottom corner for his second.
Alfie then produced a brilliant point-blank save to keep MSE out, while Jay was causing problems at the other end, beating his man before dragging a shot just wide and then seeing a free kick pushed around the post.
Max made it four with a sharp finish at the near post, before Josh produced an important goal-line clearance as Storm continued to work hard at both ends of the pitch.
Just before half-time, Jose raced through one-on-one and was cynically brought down. He dusted himself off, stepped up and smashed the resulting free kick into the bottom corner to send Storm into the break 5–1 ahead.
HT: Storm 5–1 MSE
Storm came out for the second half with the same energy. Some brilliant battling from Max created an opportunity for Rio, before Jacob crashed an effort against the bar and Jay reacted quickest to poke home the rebound.
Jay then produced a great ball for Jose, whose effort came back off the post, before Jose turned provider to play Max through, only for the MSE keeper to make a good save.
MSE continued to threaten when they could, but Alfie was in excellent form, producing a superb save from a free kick and then getting down quickly to make another stop shortly afterwards.
Storm kept creating chances. Max went for the far corner but saw his effort cleared off the line, while Jose hit the bar following a scramble inside the box.
The seventh eventually arrived through another excellent team move. Max drove down the wing before cutting the ball back perfectly for Jacob to poke home and complete his hat-trick. 👏⚽⚽⚽
There were still chances for more. Max’s shot was saved with Alfie agonisingly close to turning in the rebound now outfield, Jacob flashed one across the face of goal and Alfie poked another effort just over the bar.
The final word went to Jay, who showed brilliant composure to finish back across the goalkeeper and complete the scoring.
Josh who asked “can I be our back up second goal keeper” after he made a wonder 1v1 save to deny MSE a second.
A fantastic all-round performance from Storm. Eight goals, a Jacob hat-trick, two for Jay, two brilliant Jose free-kick/set-piece goals, a Max finish and some outstanding saves from Alfie. Both Josh and Rio are showing a fantastic defensive partnership though both being able to take the ball and start attacks from the back.
Most importantly, there was great teamwork throughout, with the lads battling for each other at both ends of the pitch especially in the face of some really rough challenges from the opposition.
Well played, Storm!
*MOTM*
These really could have gone to any player - a shout out to Alfie who returned to the team in excellent fashion, Jay who’s second half was exceptional but *Jose* throughout got the nod. Took on the captains armband for the first time for Storm and did it proud. Tracked back, scored two brilliant set piece goals and battled a tough physical team throughout.
*Parents Player*
Jacob - silky today, lethal in front of goal and despite taking possibly the worst challenge I’ve seen for a long time got himself up and completed his hat trick.
