Well done boys 👏🏻🩵💙⚽️

*MOORSIDE U7's YELLOWS versus BEECHFIELD U7's LIGHTNING
👏 Big teamwork, great spirit, and a dramatic finish — the perfect start to the season!
Goals:
3 Samuel ⚽⚽⚽
2 Alvin ⚽⚽
1 Jude ⚽
A beautiful sunny morning marked the start of our season, and what a way to kick things off! The kids arrived full of energy, excitement, and determination for their very first match against Moorside Ranger Yellows. From the opening whistle, our starting lineup came out hungry for goals, pressing hard in midfield, winning balls, and turning them quickly into attacks. The reward came fast: two goals from Kevin and two from Samuel put us comfortably ahead.

With the substitutions, the team found fresh momentum, and it paid off again — Jude scored a fantastic goal after a brilliant corner assist from Freddy! The first half closed with our team firmly in control, with a handsome lead.

But football always has its twists. In the second half, Moorside came alive, fighting back with intensity and scoring four unanswered goals that put us under serious pressure. Just when nerves began to rise, Samuel unleashed a stunning long-range strike from midfield to restore some breathing room with our sixth goal. Yet the drama wasn’t over — Moorside struck again, cutting the lead to one.

The closing minutes were tense and thrilling, with both sides creating chances at each end. Finally, the referee’s whistle confirmed it: a hard-fought victory for our boys! A rollercoaster of a match, full of grit, goals, and the perfect way to begin the season. ⚽🔥

MOM: Well deserved today's trophy went to Harry who was attentive the whole time and made some great saves.

*BEECHFIELD U/8's THUNDER versus BEECHFIELD U/8's STORM

First game of the season saw the fixture computer throw out the Thunder - Storm Beechfield Derby, and what a derby it was. Thunder as always made things difficult against a good Storm side and soaked up a lot of pressure, also creating a host of chances in front of goal that, on another day would have gone in the back of the net. It took Storm 13 minutes to get on the scoresheet but once they did it was a barrage of attacks from Storm and at half time Thunder were five goals down. The second half the lads carried on putting pressure in front of goal which resulted in a corner, where Roman Ashworth scored with a great finish beating the defence and goalkeeper. With such a big game first match for the season the boys still played some decent football and there was some really good individual performances and the whole team contributed through the match. Well done to Player of the Match Ronnie Green who showed class from start to finish, providing some great crosses and runs into the box and work ethic, Parents Player of the Match Roman Ashworth carried on from last season with strong runs into the box and also got Beechys first goal of the season with a great finish. And most improved player of the match Gideon James who again showed his presence with some great tackles and great footwork with the ball.

*PARKWYDDN PREDATORS U'9's versus BEECHFIELD UNITED STORM U'9's*

Goals ⚽️:
Imad x5
James x2
Josh x1
Jose x1

Assists 🅰️:
Jose x 2
Alfie x2
Imad x1
James x1
Josh x1
Nathan x1

Storm kicked off their season with Vince manning the posts, debut for Josh at the back with Reggie, midfield duo of Alfie and Nathan who was captain with Jose & James out wide.

Trialling a new system Storm looked solid though struggled to get some good football going. A lot of long balls from Josh & Nathan at the back not quite finding the place.

Jose on the left receiving a threaded ball from Reggie, cut across and slid the ball in, both James and Alfie had got into great positions and it was James to begin proceedings. James shortly after darted down the wing finding Alfie who unfortunately flashed wide of the mark.

Imad joining made an immediate impact, Josh picking the ball up at the back played through Imad who took his goal brilliantly. Jose seemingly loving life as a winger was producing some skills to bamboozle defenders though his cross just missed the mark.

Another goal came for Storm; Alfie battling and winning the ball, shielding and allowing Imad to pick up on the right, danced into the centre and placed the ball expertly past the goalie. Goal of the game came shortly after with the ball worked to the left by Nathan & flicked up by Jose for Imad to hit a spectacular volley into the top corner from outside the box. Finishing the half Imad again was the star dust with Nathan picking up, sliding Imad through to finish easily.

Second half started with a familiar system as Storm had Imad flying down the left crossing balls across the box. One not finding a home, another finding James who slapped a shot against the crossbar. Storm continually knocking at the door as a Jose shot was tipped by the goalkeeper and James almost finding Josh who was hurtling in from the back post.

Imads playbook produced an assist acutely threading a ball from a cross where James made sure this time putting it past the goalie. Further goals flowed as a handball gave Jose who had been furrowing away and unlucky with chances to score from the spot deflecting off the post.

This wasn’t without Parkwyddn attacks though a mixture of Alfie, Reggie & Josh at the back had been stout - though chances did come and Vincent was absolutely on it throughout the whole game, distribution was perfect from the start to finish & made a fantastic diving save to the right.

Storm had thrown in a multitude of corners though had been stoutly defended by Parkwyddn. Jose & James showed initiative by taking it short, James committing a defender and sliding to Imad for an easy finish. Storm sensing they will continue to get joy - a short corner this time played to Imad who stung a dangerous shot across the box, Alfie who played the battering ram role well shielded to Josh who laced home for a debut goal from right of the box.

Further chances mainly with Nathan marauding forward with Imad the chief creator taking the ball from deep and running through.

Storm starting the season well with a solid performance.

MOTM:
Chosen by the players the majority went to *Imad*; brilliant goals & assists - shout out also to Vincent who was flawless in keeping a clean sheet today with Reggie, Nathan & Josh who were imperious in defence.

Parents player:
*James* all action performance as per, goal starting Beechy off, assists and switching to defence at the end making 2 heroic defensive tackles.

*Beechy Under 11's STORM (9v9) played their second Bolton Bury and District League fixture of the season when they travelled to face Hindsford Juniors. In the Black Division Storm took the lead but somehow found themselves trailing 2-1 at half time. Beechy went 3-2 up in the second half and seemingly on their way to victory until they conceded a soft third goal and a last minute penalty miss gifted Hindsford Juniors a 3-3 draw. Beechy's squad on the day was Harry Chambers, George Savage, Henry Richardson, Alfie Heighway, Isaac Hargreaves, Redas Slajevas, Jacob Foster, Bobby Lowe, Joshua Jackson, Carter Lowe, Jake Fullelove and Oscar Pugh.

Match Report - ORDSALL DRAGONS U12's 0 - 6 BEECHFIELD UNITED U12's STORM.

On a cloudy, dull afternoon in Salford, Beechy Storm U12's got their season underway against an old foe Ordsall Dragons. It was a slow start from the Beechy Boys who were on the back foot for the first 5/10 mins without ever really looking under threat of conceding thanks to a solid back line backed up by the midfield. It wasn’t long until Beechy found their feet and their passing rhythm, getting them up the pitch and looking more threatening and the breakthrough came after some good play in midfield Austin Pierce found a nice finish to put us 1-0 up. The boys settled now, the pre- game nerves had settled and they began dominating the opposition, winning their individual battles and putting their back line under pressure, a few missed chances were followed but a great solo effort from Ismail Adetona. He won the ball from their goal kick and as the keeper rushed out he lobbed the keeper. Despite dominating the remaining minutes in the first half it ended 2-0.

After a positive half time team talk the boys went out for the second with confidence and swagger and it turned out to be a half we dominated. The first goal of the half came from Harvey King, after a fantastic cross from Denholm Brooks, a great header from Max Schofield hitting the bar the ball eventually broke to Harvey King who smashed home for 3-0. The boys continued to be agressive and always looked a threat and it was only a matter of time before the 4th came, Max picked up the ball all of 20 yards out and hit a sweet strike for 4-0. The 5th wasn’t far beind, Denholm whipped in a free kick into a dangerous area and a flick off the defender took it in, a goal Denholm will claim and capped off a fantastic display. The last goal of the game came after some great work in midfield the ball finally found Austin who smashed the ball home for 6-0. The boys continued to push for more but that was the end of the scoring.

Player of the Match today was Max Schofield, a faultless display in midfield and when needed filling in at the back and capped off with a great strike to get his goal. Storm's Manager Matt Wharton said he could’ve given the award to anyone today though it was a fantastic team performance, every player busting a gut for each other, leaving it all out on the pitch. ‎

*WINTON WANDERERS U12 SILVERBACKS 9-0 versus BEECHFIELD UNITED U12 TORNADOES

Can we start the season again?! After some encouraging performances in pre-season the Tornadoes were well beaten today in their first league fixture. We've been placed up in Div 3 of 4 and we know we will face some tough matches this season. Winton Silverbacks in fairness are a decent side, and went 3-0 up in the first 15 minutes with a combination of good play and poor defending. We then started to play a tiny bit of football and earned a penalty giving us a chance to reduce the deficit, but shot wide. Half time 0-3.

Winton started the 2nd half on the front foot and they made it 4-0 shortly after the break. At this point our heads dropped and the passion, effort and pride from the team was sadly non existent. Winton scored another 5 unanswered goals, many of them our own making, and in truth it could have been more. We didnt have a single shot on goal in the 2nd half. The Tornadoes only saving grace was a penalty save from keeper Ty Dobson in the last minute which prevented the defeat from being double figures.
Our worst performance in a year, so unsurprisingly there was no Player of the Match awarded today. Reflection needed from the whole side ahead of the game next week.

*The new Under 9's TORNADOES played their first official match at Beech Farm Playing Fields where they were involved in a very competitive game with Deans Panthers. A free kick by Ralph Cassidy earned the Tornadoes their consolation goal in a narrow defeat. The Beechy Boys displayed their continuous improvement and awesome attitude in this Blue Group game.

*There was a tough first game of the new season in the Manchester Youth Super League for the Under 12's LIGHTNING who faced Waterloo Vikings. Making a good start Beechy looked impressive for the first twelve minutes as both teams played some decent football. Waterloo scored the first goal and that took a lot of confidence away from Lightings players and another three goals for Waterloo before half time pretty much ended this game as a contest. The second half belonged to Waterloo but the Beechy Boys who lost 8-0 didn't give up and kept working non-stop and running hard until the end. Lightings Man of the Match award was shared by Eshan Shanahan and Finley Thompson.

*At home for their initial Salford and District Junior League Division 1 fixture were the Under 16's TORNADOES who's opponents were Winton Spartans. On the balance of play throughout the eighty minutes Winton were the better team and the visitors secured a 3-2 victory. On target for Beechy were Joshua Beddows with and excellent free kick in the first half and Takunda Kandemiri who scored the other goal in the second half following a great pass from Jayden Hoye.

*BEECHFIELD HURRICANES U/18's (2) v FLIXTON JUNIORS (3)

Hurricanes started off well, dominating possession camped in the opposition half without really testing the opposition. Occasionally the opposition would launch counter attacks that would stretch us but we managed to deal with it. However in one of these counter attacks Beechy conceded. Beechy were struggling fashioning proper chances, lethargic and lacking intensity, but the biggest challenge was poor concentration, and it was through one of those moments we conceded again to go into the half 0-2 down. Second half Beechy stepped it up and there was a buzz about the place, we were now pressing and the desire was now evident. A petulant foul on the edge of the box was calmly tucked away by Enoch to make it 1-2 and Beechy believed again. A melee in the box and Seth tucked home to make it 2-2. James got in on the act pulling out a great save. However another lapse in concentration and Beechy were stung again and that is how it would finish. MOTM for a solid game was Mikey Munden
