- Junior & Senior Match Details 6/9/2025
Several Beechfield United Junior and Senior Teams played their opening day fixtures of the 2025/2026 Season.
*In action in the Manchester Youth Super League were the U/11's THUNDER who's opponents were Strike Whites. At the leagues central venue Thunder produced a superb all-round performance and the Beechy Boys were rewarded with a high scoring victory. All the players worked extremely hard and enjoyed the game and the Strike Whites goalkeeper denied Thunder a greater winning margin. On target with the goals for Beechy were Sonny Phillips, Jack Steele and Harley Cosgrove-Newby.
*Beechy U/16's TORNADOES played a friendly match away against Sale Sabres. In an absolutely outstanding display Beechy totally outplayed their opponents but they were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw. A header by Jayden Hoye from a Oscar Mather corner gave the Tornadoes the lead and a second half goal from Joshua Beddows put Beechy 2-0 up after a terrific through ball by Logan McFeely. Unfortunately Sale Sabres scored two late goals though the final scoreline really did flatter the hosts.
*Kicking-Off the 2025/2026 season at home were Beechy U/17's HURRICANES who met AFC Monton Sharks. Moving to the Bolton Bury and District League the Hurricanes will play their home games on the 4G Pitch at Salford Sports Village. In Division 1 Beechy raced into a 2-0 lead after goals from Henry Errington and Alfie Rostron and Hurricanes keeper Oliver Dalton-Bunker made a superb double-save before Alfie Rostron made it 3-0. AFC Monton responded and managed to reduce the arrears then the visitors put added pressure on the Hurricanes with their second goal. Following an even start after the break Beechy extended their lead when Alfie Rostron completed his hat-trick from an assist by Henry Errington. AFC Monton made it a nervy finish for the Hurricanes in a pulsating second half with a third goal. Following their effort, determination and superb goals Beechy thoroughly deserved their opening day 4-3 win. Starting line-up was Oliver DB, Jamie, Lucca, Dillian (captain) Mihall, Josh, Taylor, Rafa, Aiden, Alfie, Henry. Subs: Zach D, Harrison, Matty.
Also in the Bolton Bury and District League the U/18's Hurricanes began their 2025/2026 campaign away at De La Salle. This Section A game was very competitive in the first twenty five minutes and it was De La Salle who took the lead. Beechy quickly got their act together and equalised via Nahom Berhane and as the Hurricanes continued to increase the pressure on the hosts Seth Carroll put Beechy 2-1 up before half time. After making a fast start in the second half the Hurricanes added goal number three when Seth Carroll was on target again. More great football from Beechy was rewarded with the fourth goal after Paul Connelly scored direct from a corner. Seth Carroll netted his hat-trick goal for 5-1 then Ausou Eltomseneen added to the tally and though De La Salle looked deflated they reduced the arrears with their second goal. But the hosts joy was short lived when Luke Kennedy completed the scoring. Result De La Salle 2 v Beechy Hurricanes 7.
