Flixton Jnr Tornadoes 2 v BEECHFIELD UTD HURRICANES U/8's 4
What a fantastic result for Beechfield United Hurricanes who battled hard and came away with a brilliant 4-2 victory against Flixton Junior Tornadoes.
What impressed the Beechy officials the most was despite having only one training session together everyone battled and fought for each other as they worked as a team.
A massive thank you to the players who were willing to step up and become goalkeeper on the day because the Hurricanes goalie was unavailable. That willingness to help the team out is what it's all about.
Tha passing was fantastic, which is something you don't always see at this age. The way Beechy moved the ball created so many opportunities, and to see that in their first game together is something else.
The Hurricanes players were Kayson Church, Katie Shepherd, Charlie Shepherd, Teddy Burrows and Oliver Walton.
Goalscoers were Kyson (2) Charlie and Man of the Match Teddy.
A huge congratulations to Man of the Match Teddy, his fantastic performance helped the Hurricanes secured a well-deserved victory.
A great team performance, four goals on the scoresheet and a first victory for the Hurricanes. Every player played their part in a briliant result. UP THE CANES.

**Match Report: BEECHFIELD UTD LIGHTNING v U9s 2-6 Salford Storm Thunder
Bright sunshine greeted players and spectators at Beech Farm for a highly competitive and energetic encounter.
First Half:
The game began at a high tempo, with Nahshon setting an early attacking tone for Lightning with a sharp turn and shot. At the other end, Carter put in an excellent defensive shift, tracking back brilliantly to halt dangerous Thunder attacks. Lightning looked dangerous moving forward; a fantastic piece of individual play from Rupert saw him drive past two defenders before sending an excellent cross into the box, where Henryβs shot was met with a smart save from the Salford keeper.
Despite Lightning's early efforts, Salford broke the deadlock after clever work down the left flank led to the opening goal. They quickly doubled their lead shortly after with an excellent, clinical finish.
Lightning's goalkeeper, Lucas, then kept his side in the game with three great saves. Beechfield continued to search for a response, with Hugh pulling off an excellent turn and shot that whistled just wide of the post, followed closely by Nathan, who fired just wide after being played through by Hugh.
The sustained Lightning pressure finally paid off when Carter delivered a precise pass to Hugh who finished beautifully to make it 2-1.
Rupert continued to cause chaos on the wing, creating another awesome opportunity with a dangerous cross across the face of goal that just missed a tapping-in. Lucas then came to the rescue again with a brave double save to deny Salford, but the visitors managed to scramble home a scrappy goal right before the whistle.
Half-Time Score: Beechfield Lightning U9s 1-3 Salford Storm Thunder
Second Half
The second half started with intensive defending, highlighted by an excellent tackle from Isaac to stop a powerful, driving Thunder attack. However, Salford's sustained pressure told as they found the back of the net to extend their lead.
Lucas continued his fine form in the Lightning goal, pulling off another spectacular point-blank save. Thunder soon added another after a good team move to push the scoreline further out of reach.
Refusing to let their heads drop, Lightning answered back with some lovely build-up play that found Nathan, who smashed home a powerful finish to pull one back. Lightning kept pushing, with Nahshon just missing with another shot after great combination work from Carter and Nathan. As Lightning pushed bodies forward, Thunder showed their clinical edge one final time, scoring a well-executed goal on the counter-attack to wrap up the match.
Final Score: Beechfield Lightning U9s 2-6 Salford Storm Thunder

Player of the Match (POTM): Lucas β Awarded for his exceptionally brave goalkeeping throughout the match, pulling off numerous crucial saves on top of his ever-improving distribution from the back. Big shout out to Rupert who put in a Captainβs performance with some excellent wing play.
This was another incredibly positive showing from a developing Lightning team against an experienced, cohesive opponent. The team created plenty of chances, and with a bit more clinical edge in front of goal, the scoreline could have been much closer. The determination and fighting spirit shown by all the players provide a fantastic foundation to build upon in the coming weeks!

**ο»ΏWell after months of difficult games, low numbers, off the pitch issues and last weeks struggles.
We were fantastic today and outplayed the top of the league! It was one of our best games weβve played in a long time!
Everyone was brilliant! From Amos Fearn in goal, to Harry Chambers and Jacob Foster in defence, to the lads in midfield and Bobby up front. They all did amazing and played like a team!
And itβs all about the team, not individuals. They worked for each other today and there was no moaning or whinging.
Being solid defensively today was our main focus and keeping it compact. It worked well, then at the other end we were creating plenty of chances! Bobby Lowe was on fire and grabbed himself a hat rick!
Proud of all the lads and hopefully we can push on from here! This should give them the confidence they need!
Motm was a difficult one and one where we could have easily said the whole team today.
Standouts:
Harry and Jacob who were solid at the back and gave us the platform to push on.
Bobby was brilliant today and scored 3 brilliant goals! Well deserved!
Ivan also impressed in midfield!
Well done to the lads and thanks to the parents for the support.
Letβs keep going, keep working hard and letβs see what the season brings!
Enjoy your weekend and remember that the Beechy boys are back!!

We went into todays game with a few players missing including our captain and also our regular keeper Ty Dobson who could not play in goal due to a hand injury, so up stepped Jayden Lowe to go in goal today.
We started slowly and Stretford took an early lead. Tornadoes grew into the game however and were soon level when Jack Sinclair played through Josh Green to equalise. Confidence continued to grow and we took the lead, again it was Josh, keeper Jayden with the assist. Shortly after we made it 3 and it was that man again Josh Green with his 3rd hat trick in 4 matches, this time played through by Harry Myddelton who had just come on the field! 3-1 at half time
After the break Tornadoes made it 4, another assist for Jack from a corner and no suprise it was Josh again who finished. Stretford pulled one back before they scored another with an effort which may or may not have crossed the line, but the ref gave it and all of a sudden it was 4-3, game on again. Thankfully, Beechy sealed the game with a Jack Sinclair strike, Josh turning provider this time, and we came back from Stretford with a deserved 3 points.
A 3rd win from 4 for the Tornadoes who have found some form after a slow start to the season!
Some notable performances today from Josh with another hat trick and Jack S with a goal and 2 assists. Harry Wharton, Jack Costello and Aidan Thompson were all superb at the back. Player of the Match however went to stand in keeper Jayden Lowe who was tremendous in goal and got an assist of his own. Well done lads, let's keep the momentum going! β½οΈπ
**Astley Bridge v BEECHFIELD UTD U/14's TORNADOES
Bolton Bury and District League Section A 17/10/2026.
Beechy Under 14's Tornadoes were looking for their first BBDJFL win of the season when they travelled to play Astley Bridge. At one stage in this Section A game that looked a possibility when Beechy went 2-0 up thanks to goals from Max Blood and Luke Bennett but the Tornadoes let their lead slip and Astley Bridge made it 2-2 at half time. Overall this was a pretty even contest but it was the hosts who added another goal in the second half to claim a 3-2 victory. Assists for the Tornadoes goals came via Lucio Riva and Christopher Bryce.
