After plenty of pressure, Marco found himself in the perfect position near the net and finished to put the Tornadoes ahead.
Rocco and Marco then battled hard to get the ball over the line in a real scuffle, but couldn’t quite manage it.
Eric followed with a fantastic solo run and finish before Theo added another.
Eric continued to cause problems, with Marco hitting the post and Franklin made a good block in goal to deny Winton.

The Tornadoes showed excellent attacking intent, strong defensive work and plenty of individual skill throughout the game.
There were some brilliant examples of passing, awareness and determination, with everyone contributing to a high-scoring performance. There is still plenty to work on in training but the effort and attitude from the team was excellent.

Fc Strikerz SuperSonics 2-2 BEECHFIELD UTD STORM U/9's

What a great game of football this morning from both teams involved, a very competitive 4 x 10minutes halves of football.
Beechfield started stronger out the 2 teams hitting the post and bar on a few occasions. Some great passing and battling across the pitch until Ollie broke the deadlock to give Beechfield a well deserved 1-0 lead.
In the third half supersonics grew into the game causing us problems with great teamwork and passing and scoring 2 goals to get them in the lead 2-1.
Going into the last half both teams was pushing and giving there all and supersonics’ keeper making 2-3 brilliant saves to keep his team in the lead, until Louie battled well again and won the ball back and Ollie smashed home another great finish to end the game 2-2.
Fair result all round and well done both teams.

**Match Report

BEECHFIELD UTD LIGHTNING U9's 4-4 Deans FC U9's

Our first early start at Beech Farm, which meant our first experience of setting up the pitch. Our only company dog walkers serenely enjoying the morning sun. The calm before the lightning (credit C.Saunders!)
Lightning started at a blistering pace, with Rupert forcing a smart save from the Deans goalkeeper early on.
Despite Beechfield's early dominance, Deans opened the scoring against the run of play with a well-worked team goal. Lightning responded instantly when Nathan showed immense determination to win the ball back, exchange sharp passes with Nahshon, and slot home an excellent equaliser.
Carter and Isaac started to show great composure in defence. Winning tackles and passing out calmly.
The momentum swung back and forth. After Hugh saw a dangerous through-ball intercepted by a brave stop from the Deans keeper, Hugh took matters into his own hands moments later, rifling a powerful finish straight into the roof of the net. Nathan narrowly missed extending the lead when his powerful strike flew just wide of the post.
Deans hit back with another well-worked goal to level the scores, and while Nahshon saw a solid effort saved and Henry went on a brilliant solo run following a tackle in his own half, the teams went into the break locked at 2-2.
The second half brought even more tension. Lucas started strong in the Lightning net, pulling off an excellent save from a long-range strike. However, Deans managed to break the deadlock, converting from a corner cross to take the lead.
Lightning piled on the pressure. Nahshon sent a smart run and shot just wide, and Rupert looked dangerous cutting in from the left and firing just past the post.
Yet, Deans struck a clinical blow on the counter-attack to put Beechfield behind.
Showing the outstanding team spirit that defined their morning, Lightning refused to back down.
Nahshon displayed great composure, latching onto a brilliant Hugh through-ball to pull one back.
Nathan then struck again, finding a well-deserved equalizer with an excellent finish to make it 4-4.
The final minutes were a heart-stopping affair. Lucas made a heroic, brave save in a one-on-one situation to keep Lightning level.
At the other end, Beechy created numerous chances to snatch a dramatic winner, but they were repeatedly denied by three spectacular saves from the Deans goalkeeper.
It was the first time Lightning avoided defeat in their 4th ever game against a more experienced opponent - the whole group were outstanding.
⚽️⚽️ Nathan
⚽️ Hugh
⚽️ Nahshon

POTM Isaac - played in a new defensive role and was excellent. Read the game well and showed great distribution.

BEECHFIELD UTD LIGHTNING U/10 (4) V Manchester South End (2)

Bodie Morrison
Alvin Bamigboye
Braydon Gilligan (MOTM) 3
Finley Moran
Toby Clayton (Captain) 1
Elliot Evans
Moroti Fifo
Micah Aaron

Manager: Sean Morrison Coaches: Chris Nixon, Nick Moran

Another fine morning, full squad turned out in good time and spirits, a healthy warm up within sight of The Theatre of Dreams and a Corgy throw from Old Trafford Cricket ground that you never know, these lads could hopefully one day show their skills in either stadium….
The game delayed as the referee was late and he probably wished he stayed in bed following a difficult day at the office:
Beechfield started the game off with intensity and desire, pressure high up the field creating chance after chance. The lads at times struggling to comprehend the size of an opposition player soon got to grips and gave it their all. Mo, up front, again outstanding effort, his control and passing improving every minute finding Elliot in space and clean through unlucky to not get 5 assists, Mo was so unlucky not to get a hat trick with the chances created which were almost uplifted straight from Tuesdays training onto the field, some fantastic shots to finish but the keeper was superb. Mo was on the end of a number of very bad challenges as well as off the ball incidents from the opposition, Mo, being the cool guy rose above it and didn't get involved. He was punched in the back, he took a heavy knee to the stomach, while having his back turned and the ball out of play an opposition player took it upon himself to run 20 yards and shove Mo in the back to the floor with both hands, disgusting and dangerous behaviour. The boys, much to their credit played their football.. Micah, coming on as super sub showed his skills and composure and created chances, the physical aim and fowling of the opposition with no referee authority was deemed too dangerous but a nice little intro to the physical side for the newly signed player. Toby, Captain for the day sporting a new haircut had to get a goal, he was unlucky not to get 4, his movement and game awareness sets him apart and he can only get better, he faced up to every challenge, winning his battles and playing the ball when required, topping it off with a superb finish of a goal. Another one with the right attitude not to get involved in swearing matches, name calling or reacting to bad challenges, a credit to his Family and the Team. Elliott, at a major disadvantage with the tiny pitch still managed to pull apart the defence, a bad challenge on him again went unpunished and escalated the bad behaviour, he pushed on and broke through with a number of chances South End were lucky to escape from. Finley matched against a player literally nearly 3x his size and weight fought through it all, won challenge after challenge and spread the ball wonderfully, again his focus on Tuesday in the drills going straight into the match, unlucky not to get on the score sheet with some well placed shots but again the keeper difficult to beat. Bodie, given a late start almost immediately took a bad foul with studs down his thigh, the referee playing on giving him no chance to recover, he played on like a trooper, not complaining and managed to recompose himself and find his passing. Bobby, in net pulled off some fine brave saves, a messy goal and a long range shot proving too much to stop gave South End some impetus and false belief of a comeback but Bobby kept down to two ensuring a win. Brayden, Man of the Match performance, the small pitch suiting him was outstanding, winning battle after battle, passing, tackling, again a recently worked drill designed just for him an instant success and he smashed his goals in and really led the Team to success, another kid who rose above the opposition fouls and behaviour, answering with his goals, a hat-trick from heaven! No one loves the man of the match take home than Brayden and he fully deserved it! Alvin, another whose footwork gets better by the minute felt like he had been thrown into a war zone, the ferocity of the match was becoming a game of fouls and barging contest, Alvin, understanding our remit and conduct expectations, played his game, blistering runs from the back and his passing ensured Bobby had little to do, an extremely hard working performance giving everything for his Team, superb. Angelo, starting at the back gave a clean performance, not shying from his battles he managed the back line well and gave that comms when required, managing to break through challenges with the ball and find his pass, his reading of the game getting better now ensuring that player on his shoulder will not get there before him.
Amazing effort from the lads today under very difficult circumstances, on a tiny pitch. Today was the outcome of the hard effort we put in every week to ensure for the hour or two we have them we nip any messing around in the bud, any verbal nastyness, bad behaviour, swearing, intentional injury etc. is not tolerated. This ensures we answer with the football. Well done to all parents for being on board and helping us keep this alive….

BEECHFIELD UTD U10s STORM 11 Magna FC U10s 1

Goals:
Max x 3
Nathan x 2
Josh x 2
Jacob x 2
James x 1
Jose x 1

Assists
Nathan x 3
Jose x 2
Jacob x 1
James x 1
Rio x 1
Jay x 1

Game was played on the far pitch in difficult conditions due to the length of the grass ... this kept the score down for beechy who shouldve scored 20 plus today .

The game started with some battle from Magna but within a few minutes jacob passed to james 5 yards outside the box and james got his now customary screamer from the edge of the box leaving the keeper no chance.

Some good play followed from Max who drove down the wing played Nathan in who layed it off the Jose and he also thundered it in from the edge of the box.
More chances came but against the run of play beechy conceded , causing thir own problems playing back to the keeper who was charged down and the ball ended up in the net.

After this the game was played pretty much exclusively in the magna half with magna defending their box for their lives. This led to more long shots from beechy with Jacob firing a fine goal from the edge of the box as magna sunk deeper and deeper.
More goals came as josh took a quick kick in to james on the right wing who crossed for a nathan tap in at the back post.
Beechy we're now all over magna max now driving into the box, taken down for a penalty which he dispatched bottom corner, 2 more max goals followed in nearly identical fashion to each other as nathan and jose both found the by line, pulled back to max who was there to tap in on both occasions.

A quick double from josh followed, the first driving into the box and finishing powerfully , the second from a Nathan cross .

Yet more goals before the end as jose again crossed to jacob for a finish then jay found the by line again and crossed for nathan to finish.

Alfie now playing as striker caused a nuisance in the box and jay made lots of smart runs. Rio was a solid as ever and we even tried josh and james as fly keeper in the second half which worked pretty well .

All in all magna were outmatched here, they did give it everything in defence and did keep the score down but it wasn't much of a contest, however the boys enjoyed the goals ⚽️ 🥅 and onto next week.

**BEECHFIELD UTD TORNADOES U10's vs Habesha U10's
SDJFL League Fixture

3-5 Full Time

Cormac 🧤
Jayden
Ezra
Oscar
Amir 🏆
Ellis 🏆⚽️⚽️
Ralph
Arlo ⚽️
Leo
Gary
Kayden

A game of thirds.

Tornadoes came out fast, Arlo dispatching a beautiful strike after being put through on goal by Amir excellently. A strong start after 10 minutes.

15 minutes of passiveness led to the away side scoring 5 goals including a beautiful free kick and an equally beautiful assist from the ref (we don’t complain, we knuckle down 😊).

After the shock settled and Tornadoes realised they could compete they went on to win the rest of the game 2-0.

The lads more structured, focused on task and clinical with their intent. Ellis bagging two goals in this period and giving great energy, Amir putting in a stellar effort throughout, Cormac making blinding saves including a stunning one-on-one and unlucky not to take home MOTM.

Oscar made a great tackle to avoid a goalscoring opportunity in this period and used the ball well. Jayden timed his clearances well and found his ball down the line nicely, Ezra determined to win the ball and unlucky not to score on the break, Arlo threatening, creating chances and working hard defensively, Ralph an attacking threat and working hard in opponents half when upfront, Kayden a threat off the touchline, Gary selfless and a threat and making great runs. Leo forcing attacking errors with feints.

We will be focused all game, switched on and work hard for 50 minutes next week.

**BEECHFIELD UTD TORNADOES 4-1 Salford Town Devils
Salford and Districts Junior League Division 4

⚽️⚽️⚽️ Josh Green
⚽️ Jack Sinclair (pen)
🅰️🅰️ Harry Wharton
🅰️ Reuben McCormick
🅰️ Alex McGrory
🏅= Jack Sinclair & Harry Wharton

After our resounding 6-1 win in the cup last week, Tornadoes were in a confident mood ahead of todays game, looking for our first league win of the season. We welcomed Harry Wharton back to Beechfield making his Tornadoes debut today.

Tornadoes dominated and created far more chances in the first half. Last weeks 5 goal hero Josh Green had a couple of chances but shot wide. Jack Sinclair and Ryan Cordingley put some great crosses in but we could not find the net. Grayson Evans headed wide, Ryan had an effort of his own but wide. Eventually the goal we thoroughly deserved came when debutant Harry Wharton played a fine through ball to Josh, who made no mistake. 1-0 to Beechy at half time.

Our 2nd half performances to date this season had been poor so we needed to keep our levels up after the break. Salford started the 2nd half on the front foot and created a couple of chances but Ty Dobson in goal saved well. We made it 2-0 shortly after when a ball by Reuben McCormick deflected through to Josh who fired home for Beechy. Shortly after Salford made it 2-1 after a scramble at the back and Salford were right back in the game. We held our nerve however and regrouped. Dawood Fakeeh should have had our 3rd but shot right at the keeper. Then Alex McGrory turned well in the box and was tripped, a clear penalty. We've missed our 2 penalties this season but Jack Sinclair stepped up today and made no mistake, 3-1 Beechy, and the game was almost done. Salford then hit the post with a free kick before we made it 4 with the last kick of the game. Again it was Harry with the assist and it was that man Josh who got his 2nd hattrick in 2 weeks! Final score 4-1 Beechy our first league win of the season and 2nd on the bounce after the cup win last week.

We've been a bit unlucky in some of our earlier matches but put in a complete performance today and thoroughly deserved the 3 points!

I could have given MOTM to loads of them today. Josh Green again stood out with another hattrick. Harrrison Doherty tenacious throughout and classy on the ball. Ryan Cordingley put in his best performance of the season and was unlucky not to score or assist. I could go on but I'd be here all day. We gave joint man of the matches today. Jack Sinclair was one, he has been knocking at the door for a few weeks, a threat from defence or midfield, was in the wars but battled all game and scored the key penalty. Also Harry Wharton, looked like he'd been playing for us for years, solid at the back and got 2 assists on his debut!

An exceptional team performance today, the best full match we've played this season, we're on a roll lets keep it up! Go Beechy! ⚽️👕

**Afternoon all,

I was out all of yesterday but have now had time to reflect on yesterday’s game.

My thoughts from it are that there are a few minor issues that I need to iron out.

**Bury Ams Falcons v BEECHFIELD UTD U/14's TORNADOES

3-0 down first half…
2-2 second half was an improvement, but we ran out of time at the end.

Our 2 goals came from 2 brilliant free kicks from Luke and Zach, but it was too late for a comeback unfortunately.

The 2 Motm’s went to Tireni who we thought was brilliant all round yesterday. Came back after he was frustrated with his own performance last week. He defended well and started the attack.

Lucio, he kept going all game and didn’t give up. Once he started to get on the ball more in the second half, he started finding good spaces to get his shots off. He was unlucky not to score and lead by example.

The lads need to keep going, keep working hard and take my points on board. Once they do that, then we will see a more consistent and balanced team performance week in week out.

On a side note I was a little frustrated that the other team didn’t set our net up until right bang on kick off… gamesmanship at its finest……. Match Details via Ryan Pugh.
