U7s Thunder v Urmston Meadowside Athletic
Playing at home, the Thunder boys started extremely brightly as Ronnie produced some silky feet to put us in the lead. Thunder were playing some great stuff, but we're rocked by an injury to our goalscorer.
Urmston took real advantage and scored some real screamers to storm into the lead.
The boys battled really hard, Aldo made constant threatening runs fwd and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet, and Gideon was throwing in tackles left right and centre
George struggling with illness battled on bravely alongside Jesse in defence, and Raurie made some good saves.
Gideon got a well-deserved M.O.M. award for his work rate and countless tackles (even if one made us all wince)
Urmston were unfortunately, a very well-oiled machine, and after scoring several goals last week, we did well to limit the scoreline.
Big week of training ahead as we look fwd to next weekends game
