Another good performance in their Red Group game secured Beechfield United Under 10's Storm their seventh successive victory in the Salford and Districts Junior League.

*Looking happy to be back in action on a decent playing surface the Under 10's STORM were at home to Salford United Juniors. Producing some brilliant passing of the ball numerous times efforts by the Beechy Boys hit both posts and crossbar before Seth Barber, Oscar Berry and Isaac Hargreaves fired home Storm's match winning goal. Special mention to Oscar Pugh who played really well and was voted both Parents Man of the Match and Manager's Man of the Match. Storm's other players who made a top-class contribution to the teams star-studded display were Alfie Heighway, Bobby Lowe, Kade Doyle, Harry Heathcote-Clare, Jacob Foster, Harry Chambers and George Savage.

*Suffering an unlucky 3-2 defeat were the Under 15's TORNADOES who's opponents Swinton Panthers. In this Salford and Districts Junior League Division 2 home game Beechy conceded an early goal but the Tornadoes made a strong fightback and Josh Beddows equalised just before half time. In the second half the Tornadoes took the lead with a brilliant goal from Archie Lock who had another goal disallowed for offside. During a period of added time a goalkeeping error gifted the Panthers an equaliser (2-2) then eight minutes into added time another crucial mistake saw the Tornadoes concede a very shabby third goal. Overall Beechy were the better team but didn't take their chances.

*On a damp and crisp morning at Beech Farm Playing Fields the Under 11's STORM (9v9) met Parkwyddn Junior Hawks a team Beechy hadn't played before. In what was a feisty affair Storm started brightly and playing good football created some decent chances before taking the lead. Great work down the right wing from Barkley Pope and Ismail Adetona saw the latter deliver a perfect low cross to Austin Pierce who tucked the ball under the keeper. Much the better side Beechy kept pushing forward and spending a large part of the first half in their opponents half had more good chances but they couldn't find the finish to the pressure deserved. Parkwyddn displayed lots of aggression throughout the game but the visitors didn't envisage that Storm were a team of warriors who gave as much as they got. Into the second half and kicking down the slope on the pitch Beechy dominated this Red Group game with composure, skill, aggression and effort and were frustrated for nearly fifteen minutes. But eventually Storm were rewarded with their second goal when a pin-point corner taken by Denholm Brooks was met by Ismail Adentona who headed the ball into the net. For a few minutes Beechy relaxed their grip on the game and Parkwyddn reduced the arrears but Storm regrouped and quickly regained control. Ismail Adentona won possession on the edge of the box then beat a visitors defender before hammering the ball into the bottom corner of the net. Despite the comfort of a two goal lead Beechy pressed for another goal that arrived via Denholm Brooks who's cross-come-shot went underneath the keeper into the net. In this top team performance against a good team Storm's back three that included captain and Man of the Match Max Schofield plus Beechy's keeper were amazing.

*In the Manchester Youth Super League Beechy Under 11's LIGHTNING (9v9) met Boundary Park on the Astroturf Pitch at the central venue. Following a low-key first half display Lightning trailed by three goals but Beechy raised their game after the break as they attempted to win the game. Goalkeeper and Man of the Match James Hardman made some great saves, Kayson Gregg commanded the defence and Crewe Reeves assisted Henry Dunne who scored a brilliant team consolation goal.

*Beechy's Under 16's THUNDER were at home on Sunday morning in the East Manchester Junior League against Boundary Park Juniors who were currently in second place in the Division 3 table. This fixture produced an evenly balanced start but via a mis-hit cross by their winger the visitors took the lead when the ball ended up in the back of the Beechy net. Boundary Park had a goal disallowed before Thunder equalised through Man of the Match Sophiyulah Bakare who got on the end of a Pedro Do Santos corner and with a bullet header made it 1-1. The visitors regained the lead in the second half when slack defending by the Thunder defence failed to deal with a simple ball delivered into the box. The Boundary Park keeper made a fine save to deny an effort on target from Rafael Djacy prior to the visitors taking a 3-1 lead. With a carbon copy of the previous goal Boundary Park went 4-1 up though the visitors striker looked offside before he put the ball into the net. Playing some of their best football in the game Thunder got a goal back through Rafael Djacy who during a powerful forward run outmuscled the last defender and added an excellent finish. Despite a clear foul on a Beechy player the referee allowed play to continue and though Thunder's players protested the match official awarded Boundary Park their fifth goal. A 5-2 winning scoreline definitely flattered the visitors.
