Beechfield Thunder Under7s versus Deans Youth & Ladies
Thunder got back to winning ways with a win against a spirited Deans side who took the lead early on. Being a goal down early didn't knock Thunders spirit and they started to play some great, confident football. Roman Ashworth got his first goal of the game to equaliser. Jesse Fletcher started the play with great footwork and great passing for Thunders second goal of the match, courtesy of Roman who was lively all game. Shortly after this Roman got his first hat trick for Beechfield with a fine finish, in defence Gideon James was so effective at the back and his strong defence always winning the ball back for his team and also scoring after one of his long runs in attack making the fourth goal. Shortly after Thunder started stringing passes together and yet again Ronnie Greens pinpoint accuracy with his passing all match got his reward with another goal, the last 5 minutes of the game saw Thunder started clicking and passes and chances were created with great movement from Zac Vaughan finding space for Aldo Gannon to shoot but only to be denied by a handball, a penalty was awarded and Aldo slotted it away for goal number six. Deans had their own chances throughout the match but Goalkeeper Raurie Brassington put in a dominating display and kept Deans at bay all match, a great win and special mentions to our trophy winners Ronnie Green 🏆
Gideon James 🏆
Raurie Brassington 🏆
Special Mention to George Lawson who unfortunately got injured in the warm up and will be out for 4-6 weeks and everybody at Thunder wishes George a speedy recovery.
