Saturday 12th November, Moorside Farm 3G Pitch KO 9am.

The game was played in difficult conditions with the rain continuing to pour, this made passing and controlling the ball very difficult on the 3G surface.
The first half produced a goal from Alfie Lacey a well struck free kick that deceived everyone, and also included a good goalkeeping performance from Logan McFeely.
The conditions did not ease up for the second half, but to be fair this was the case for both teams. After some strong running early in the game from Jack McMinn playing as a striker, he continued his recent good form in the goal during the second half.
Flinn Rogers, Dylan Courtney and Stewart Kay worked tirelessly during the game putting in key blocks, tackles and constantly running up and down the pitch.
Alfie Lacey scored another well taken goal in the last minute but unfortunately the referee blew for full time before we could push for another.
Man of the match was Daire Cox who was outstanding in defence today, he swept up the loose ball, made key interceptions and cleared the ball when required.
I was very proud of the boys today taking into consideration the early start, the driving rain and the fact it was pretty cold. Well done boys keep up the good work.

Richard
