Saturday 17th Oct, Cleaveley's, KO 10.30am, League.

For the second time this season, the Tornadoes travelled to Cleaveley's, to meet the Warriors, this time in the league.

As in our previous encounter with the Warriors, this proved to be another tight affair. A lot of the play took place in the centre of the park and both teams created chances.

However, I'd say we probably had the more clear cut chances and on the balance of the overall game probably edged possession. But, unfortunately for us, the chances were not converted. I don't know how many corners we had but it was disappointing not to make one of them count at least.

Thankfully then, an ever alert Stewart did take advantage of a debatable offside call, to slot home in the first half, providing us with a richly deserved equaliser. Stewart showed a great attitude here by playing to the whistle.

In the second spell it was business as usual and I suspected that we were headed for a draw. However a couple of defensive lapses in the last few minutes saw us getting harshly punished.

Overall, the scoreline wasn't a fair reflection of the game, but that's football for you.

All the lads were great, especially Josh, who deputised in nets, but it was Reece who picked up the MOTM award, for an accomplished display filling in at right back.
