Eccles college
To guarantee the boys got a game before Christmas a friendly game was arranged against Barr hill at Eccles college.
Despite the difficult playing conditions Thunder made a possitive start to the game. Some nice intricate passing was unlucky not to be rewarded with a goal. The break through came from a corner which Barr hill failed to clear and was tucked away by Jake osullivan. Barr hill came back strong in the second half and had Beechy under sustained pressure an uncharacteristic lapse in concentration by beechy gifted Barr hill a handful of goals.
On a pleasing note was performance of Christopher Pearson who got Beechy out of trouble on a number of occasions with some calm and composed defending and Jacob Lacey made some perfectly timed challenges.
The boys should be proud of the way they have performed so far this Season and look forward to the next round of the cup and hopefully some challenging games ahead next year.
