- A game of two halves
Well, I'd rather not mention he first half of the home game against De La sale Rangers on an ominously heavy Beech Farm (it doesn't bode well for the next few months). The kids just didn't turn up and were second to every ball. DLS were very physical and we weren't up for it.
I'm pleased to say that things improved massively in the second half and we turned it into a real contest. All of a sudden we were making tackles, talking to each other and playing some football.
Joe beat a man cut inside another and crossed for Cole to get on the score sheet, then Ronan laid off a little pass to Daniel who scored our second. Daniel was voted man of the match for his goal and continuing to harass the DLS defence despite the heavy-handed treatment he was receiving.
I'm pleased to say there was lots to be pleased about in the end and that should show the lads that they're capable of beating anyone in this division if they show the correct spirit.
