POSTED: December 07 2016 12:52:21. By Phil Hesketh - Prestwich Tigers 4-3 Typhoon

It doesn't matter at what level you play, if you don't put your chances away then they can come back and bite you!
Typhoon played well on a heavy pitch and were worth their half time 3-1 lead. Another couple from Cole and one from Ronan after a great run from Dan saw us looking comfortable. However if there's a couple of things we're prone to it's having a sloppy couple of minutes and conceding from corners. Letting them score almost immediately after the restart wasn't great but we still looked the better team. Unfortunately Jamie just can't buy a goal at the moment, he hit the bar, the keeper, everything but the back of the net. As it was we went into the last minutes neck and neck with the game going back and forth. Then, just as we were contemplating who takes the first penalties the ball nestled in our goal. It was the last kick of the game. It was a shame, the boys didn't deserve it but they played well and sometimes it's just not your day.
Anyway, Milo was unanimously voted man of the match for an awesome display at the back.
As regards the cup, we now finish level with Ladybridge (W3 L1) so as we beat them I guess we should go through, except Prestwich have a game remaining against Majic. If Prestwich win then all 3 of us will be 3-1 and have all beaten each other! So it'll be up to the Div Sec to sort out that one! I'll let you know when I hear anything.
