Beechy Hurricanes were back in U17's Bolton Bury and District Football League Division 1 action with an away game at Hough End.

Captain Owen was still missing so Dillan retained the armband. Lucca is missing too but everyone else is present and coach Elliot is back on the sidelines.

And the ref gets us underway on a soft, slightly bobbly grass pitch.

After a fairly even, end to end start, Hurricanes almost open the scoring after Alfie’s excellent free kick is met by a bullet header from Harrison but his effort deflects just wide

GOAL! 1-0 Beechfield!!
A long ball forward finds Alfie, he does brilliantly to beat two players and get his shot away. The keeper does well to palm the original effort away but Alfie reacts the quickest and lobs it back over his head and into the net!

HALF TIME: Hough End Griffins 0-1 Beechfield Hurricanes.
A close, tense first half with both teams creating chances but it's the away side taking a slender lead into the break. Plenty of time left yet though so the result is very much still in the balance.

GOAL! 2-0 Beechfield!!
After defending for a period at the start of the second half, the Hurricanes break forward. Great footwork from Mihail releases Henry, who powers into the box and fires home!! 💪

Lifted by doubling their lead, the away side continue to push forward. A good through ball finds Alfie and he powers goalward and hammers home to extend the lead! 🤩

A really strong team performance secures a very well deserved 3 points against a side who finished top of our league last season. Clean sheet at the back and clinical upfront, with Alfie getting his fifth goal in 3 games!
