After a heavy defeat last time out the Tornadoes knew they must improve today to have any chance of victory. We started slowly with 30 FC the better team in the opening 15 minutes, creating numerous corners and chances. Ty Dobson was brilliant in goal keeping the scores level. We were struggling to clear our lines however and eventually 30 FC scored two quick goals and deserved their lead. Some substitutions changed the flow of the game and Beechy improved, Grayson Evans, Jayden Lowe and Freya Quinn all had chances, but like last week we couldn't score. With Beechy on top, 30 FC hit us on the counter to lead by three goals at half time.
In the 2nd half we improved again and started playing in the oppositions half. The next goal would be key but unfortunately 30 FC scored it. Unlike last week we didn't give up and Harry Myddleton capped a good individual performance with a strike from the left to reduce the arrears. 30 FC scored again before Grayson Evans scored on the rebound after good build up play for Beechy's second goal. With Beechy on the front foot, 30 FC scored again at the death. A much improved performance from last week but it still wasn't enough. Player of the Match was Harry Myddleton, who scored a superb goal, was a constant threat with the ball and was always moving into dangerous positions to receive the pass. Well done Harry.
