Goal. 1-0 Atherton
Atherton counter, the ref fails to give a blatant offside & it leads to a well-hit shot. Oliver saves & the ball cannons away. A speculative effort from the rebound doesn’t look dangerous until it take an awful deflection and creeps into the bottom corner.
2-0 Atherton
A clash of ankles on the edge of the area leads to a free kick to the home side. It’s dispatched quite brilliantly and curls into the far bottom corner to double the home side’s advantage.
GOAL! 2-1 as Beechfield pull one back!
Harrison releases Zach down the left, he launches it forward to Aiden who gets to the byline, cuts it back to Alfie and he rifles home to half the arrears!! 🙌
GOAL! 2-2 as Beechfield equalise!!
A brilliant ball in from the right by Henry causes havoc in the home penalty area. Owen powers into the area and drills it home at the near post!! 💪
Goal. 3-2 Atherton
After some determined defence from the away side, Atherton Town score a well-worked goal to re-take the lead
GOAL DISALLOWED?!
The Hurricanes look to have equalised but the referee ridiculously rules it out as one Atherton player pushes his teammate out of the way?!? The home coaches and players are all literally laughing their heads off at the decision 🤦🏻♂️

The away side draw level again with another really well worked goal that again leads to Alfie confidently hammering the ball home!! 😎
HALF TIME: Atherton Town 3-3 Beechfield Hurricanes
An entertaining, end-to-end first half with good football from both sides. Only tarnished by some bizarre and almost comical refereeing decisions. The Hurricanes will be looking to win this after twice conceding unluckily.
Goal. 4-3 Atherton
After dominating early exchanges in the second half, the home side re-take the lead with a goal from close range.
GOAL! 4-4 as Beechfield equalise again!!
A beautiful corner from Alfie allows Owen score his second and his team’s fourth of the game to level the scores once again! 🥳
GOAL! 5-4 Beechfield!!
Hurricanes take the lead for the first time as Aiden bursts down the left, shows great pace and composure to get into the area and absolutely hammers a shot across the keeper and into the far corner, giving the keeper no chance!! 🚀
PENALTY!!
Owen powers into the area and cuts inside the defender who makes no attempt to play the ball and very obviously wrestles him to the floor, before jumping on top of him?! The referee has no choice but to point to the spot …
GOAL! 6-4 Beechfield!!
Alfie steps up and coolly sends the keeper the wrong way whilst drilling his penalty home with great composure to double the away team’s lead!! 🤗
GOAL! 7-4 Beechfield!!
The away side look to have secured all three points. Henry picks up the ball on half way, goes on a stunning where he beats 5 or 6 players with outstanding footwork before releasing Aiden who again rifles the ball into the far corner of the net. 🔥
FULL TIME: Atherton Town 4-7 Beechfield Hurricanes
A hat trick from Alfie and two apiece for Owen and Aiden secure an excellent away win against a strong Atherton side, despite an inept refereeing performance that threatened to ruin a decent game of football.
