First Half:
Beechfield started strongly and created plenty of chances early on. Franklin opened the scoring after a good assist from Zane while Eric caused problems with some great runs and footwork down the pitch. Zane defended brilliantly throughout the half with several important clearances and Gianluca added a goal after good work from Eric. Rocco defended really well and made several skillful passes to the right players to help keep attacks moving forward. Eric also scored twice himself as the Tornadoes controlled the game from start to finish. Gianluca grabbed another before half time to give Beechfield a deserved 5–0 lead.
Second Half:
Theo was very lively in the second half with lots of attacking runs and shots before finally getting his goal. Franklin and Gianluca both made important saves when needed while Zane continued to defend strongly and clear danger at the back. Eric kept creating chances with his dribbling and added another goal after hitting the post earlier in the half. Theo scored again after another strong run and Franklin rounded off the scoring with a well-taken goal to complete a brilliant 9–0 win.
The whole team worked hard, defended well and showed great teamwork throughout the match. It was a fantastic way to finish the Tornadoes’ very first season together as a team, with every player giving maximum effort and showing how much they have improved over the season.

As the league season drew to a close, Beechfield Tornadoes signed off in spectacular fashion with a commanding 9–0 victory — a performance full of quality, teamwork, and character. On a warm, sunlit day, the Tornadoes not only secured their second clean sheet in a row but also demonstrated incredible sportsmanship, finishing the match against a full 11-player opposition after generously lending players.
Moss Lane began brightly, testing early, but they quickly ran into a determined and intelligent Tornadoes defence. Adam and Ralph were immense at the back, reading the game superbly, stepping in with perfectly timed challenges, and calmly guiding attackers into tight areas. Behind them, Ellis provided a reassuring presence, alert and composed, ensuring any danger was swiftly dealt with.
It was from this defensive strength that the breakthrough arrived. Ralph showed brilliant anticipation to win the ball, then surged forward with purpose before threading a perfectly weighted pass into Cormac. Timing his run expertly from the touchline, Cormac controlled beautifully and finished confidently at the near post. A move that perfectly summed up the team’s balance — defensive grit turned into attacking precision. 1–0.
The second goal soon followed, with Leo covering every blade of grass in midfield. His tireless work paid off as he picked out Oscar on the right wing. Oscar took control with confidence and drove forward, finishing emphatically past the advancing keeper. 2–0.
Oscar was just getting started. From a loose ball following a corner, he produced a moment of magic — a curling, looping effort from distance that sailed over the keeper and into the far corner. A truly stunning strike, drawing admiration from everyone watching, including the referee. 3–0.
Kayden’s relentless running and direct attacking play caused constant problems down the wing, and his pressure forced an error from the keeper. When the ball spilled loose, Leo reacted quickest, striking cleanly into the corner for a well-deserved goal. 4–0.
The Tornadoes’ ability to play out from the back was a joy to watch. Adam repeatedly found teammates with composed distribution, setting the platform for attacks. One such move saw Oscar collect a pass, drive to the byline, and deliver a perfectly weighted cross to the back post where Cormac arrived with impeccable timing to finish calmly. A fantastic team goal. 5–0.
Despite already holding a strong lead, the Tornadoes showed incredible sportsmanship by lending players to Moss Lane as numbers increased — first to 9, then 10, and finally 11. The game became more competitive, but the Tornadoes responded with resilience, determination, and maturity beyond their years.
Arlo’s impact off the bench was electric. Full of pace and intent, he completed a superb hat-trick showcasing his all-round attacking quality. His goals came in a variety of ways — a brilliant run and finish following Ezra’s wonderful work, a well-timed connection from one of Oscar’s dangerous crosses, and a standout moment where Amir won a midfield battle (as he so often does) and slid a perfectly judged pass into Arlo’s path. Arlo took it in stride, beat his defender, and finished with real authority. Hat-trick. His workrate and constant desire to threaten the opposition is so important to the team.
Ezra also played a key role, showing excellent vision and composure in possession, linking play effectively and providing a well-earned assist through intelligent distribution.
Amir was, as ever, dominant in midfield battles — strong, determined, and seemingly unbeatable in 50/50s. His work rate and strength set the tone, turning defensive moments into attacking opportunities time and again.
Leo and Ezra were outstanding in their defensive work, showing excellent timing in the tackle and real leadership, constantly encouraging and organising those around them.
At the back, Adam’s composure never wavered. Whether stepping in to intercept or calmly passing forward, he was a rock throughout. Ralph combined defensive solidity with attacking drive, even contributing directly to the opening goal and later showing great character by helping the opposition.
Kayden’s energy on the wing never dropped, stretching the play and creating space, while also contributing to the team’s pressing game.
Ellis, after a strong and assured spell in goal, was eager to make his mark outfield — and he did just that. After relentless pressing and intelligent positioning throughout the game, he finally got his goal, making sure the ball crossed the line after Oscar’s effort. A moment fully deserved for his persistence and hard work.
Ralph earned a well-deserved 🏆 recognition, not just for his defensive excellence but for his leadership and contribution across the pitch.
Oscar was rightly awarded post match Player of the Match 🏆 for a phenomenal display — two goals, three assists, and a constant attacking threat as well as his defensive work. His creativity, movement, and end product were outstanding.
Beyond the goals and performances, what stood out most was the Tornadoes’ character. Kayden, Ralph, and Cormac all contributed to helping the opposition, embodying true sportsmanship and respect for the game — values just as important as any result.
The match ended with a fantastic penalty shootout, ensuring every player had their moment. The quality on display was excellent. Beautiful finishes from the spot, along with the Tornadoes stopper making an incredible seven saves — a remarkable achievement and the perfect way to end a brilliant team performance.
A superb display, a fantastic team effort, and a memorable way to close the league season — full of positivity, development, and pride. 🌪️⚽

Good morning and welcome! It’s a glorious, warm Saturday morning — perfect conditions for football as Beechfield Lightning take on Winton KCR. Let’s see how Beechfield line up from the start: between the sticks we have Jude, looking calm and assured. In defence, solid and reliable, are Caspian and William. And leading the line, our dynamic front pairing — Julio and Kevin. It’s a strong-looking side, ready for action!
KICK-OFF:
We are underway! Beechfield hit the ground running immediately. They start with fantastic energy, pressing high, moving the ball sharply, and taking the game straight to Winton. You can see their intent right from the first whistle — this is a team ready to play!
1-0 ⚽ KEVIN
GOAL — BEECHFIELD LIGHTNING!
What a start! The early pressure pays off perfectly. Beechfield win the ball in the final third, it’s worked through to Kevin, who shows great awareness and composure — he takes a touch, sets himself, and slots it coolly past the keeper! A brilliant opening goal, and Beechfield take a deserved early lead: 1-0. Just reward for that bright, positive start.

But credit to Winton KCR — they are not here to make up the numbers! They weather the early storm, grow into the game, and begin to find their own rhythm. They break forward quickly, find a gap in the defence, and finish well to draw level. 1-1. Game very much on now — this is turning into a proper contest!
2-1 ⚽ JULIO (Assist: Jude)
GOAL — BEECHFIELD LIGHTNING!
Back we come! Beechfield refuse to be knocked off their stride. And it all starts right from the back with Jude in goal! He reads the play perfectly, spots the movement upfield, and plays an absolutely magnificent, pinpoint long-range pass right over the top of the defence. It’s a visionary ball that splits Winton wide open. The ball finds Julio in space, he opens his body up, and curls a lovely, controlled finish past the goalkeeper! Outstanding distribution from Jude, brilliant composure from Julio, and Beechfield are back in front: 2-1. What a game this is turning into!

End-to-end action now! This match has everything. Winton respond once more with real determination. They build an attack down the flank, get the ball into the box, and after a scramble, they force the equaliser. 2-2. You have to admire the resilience from both sides — neither team is giving an inch, and the excitement is building!
3-2 ⚽ KEVIN (Assist: Jude)
GOAL — BEECHFIELD LIGHTNING!
Unbelievable! Jude does it again! Once more, the move originates from our number one. Jude shows incredible awareness, spotting Kevin making a blistering run through the middle. He releases another perfect, accurate pass straight into the path of Kevin, who controls it brilliantly, races clear of the defence, and smashes it high into the net! Clinical finishing, but that assist from Jude was absolute world-class — two assists now for the goalkeeper! 3-2 Beechfield! What an impact he is having on this game.

Yet again, Winton find a way back. This is relentless! They apply sustained pressure, win the ball back high up the pitch, and work an opening inside the area. A sharp finish follows, and once again we are all square: 3-3. Caspian and William are putting in a huge shift at the back, but Winton are showing great character to respond every time we take the lead.
⚫ MATCH CHANGE
Break in play — time for a tactical switch from Beechfield!
We have an interesting change of roles here. William makes the move back to take over duties in goal, while Jude comes out from between the sticks and slots straight into defence. A bold move, but one that shows the strength and versatility within this squad! Jude has been sensational with his distribution today — now we’ll see what he can do protecting the backline.
4-3 ⚽ JULIO (Assist: Kevin)
GOAL — BEECHFIELD LIGHTNING!
Drama from the set-piece! Kevin steps up to take the corner kick. He whips a dangerous, curling delivery right into the heart of the box, bending away from the goalkeeper and right onto a plate. Defenders are scrambling to clear, but Julio reacts quickest — he takes the ball cleanly in his stride, sets himself, and smashes a powerful, first‑time strike into the back of the net! Unstoppable! 4-3 Lightning! What a partnership these two have formed today — Kevin creating the danger, Julio applying the finish, time and time again. Magnificent play! And Jude, now marshalling the defence, helps see it all the way through.

But there is no separating these sides today! Winton KCR come back once more with everything they have left. They pour forward, win a tackle in the box, and fire home the equaliser. 4-4. Breathless stuff! Beechfield have been absolutely superb — starting fast, incredible vision from Jude (both in goal and defence), solid work from Caspian and William, while Julio and Kevin have been unstoppable going forward.
FULL-TIME
The referee brings it to a close, and what a spectacle we have witnessed! 4-4 is the final score. Beechfield lightning played with energy, skill, and brilliant teamwork from the very first minute — a fantastic performance on a warm Saturday morning, and a thrilling contest that did full justice to both teams.

*BEECHFIELD UTD TORNADOES (9v9) 0-4 Winton Wanderers U12 Silverbacks
Final game of a long season for the Tornadoes today and it was a tough one against high flying Silverbacks who we have never beaten before. We were again with out regular keeper Ty Dobson in goal due to his wrist injury, Grayson Evans and Jack Sinclair stepped up to go in goal doing a half each.
There was nothing in the game in the early exchanges. We kept our shape really well and limited Winton to only half chances. We had a couple of decent chances of our own through Josh Green who shot just wide, and then Dawood Fakeeh popped up with a diving header which was somehow superbly tipped onto the post by the Winton keeper. In a half where not much else happened we were unfortunate to conceed just before the break when we gave the ball away in our own half and gifted a goal to Winton despite an otherwise disciplined half. Half time 0-1.
In the 2nd half we started on the front foot, Aidan Thompson had a shot from the edge of the box which flew just over the bar. We were then dealt a blow when a rocket of a strike from the Winton forward flew into the top corner giving Jack Sinclair in goal no chance, 2-0 to Winton. Despite the setback we fought on valiantly but Winton were the greater threat going forward. They almost made it 3 but a diving block from Alex McGrory and a world class diving stop from Jack kept the score at 2. We began to tire in the last 10 minutes on a warm day on Beech Farm but almost pulled one back when Grayson Evans played Josh through but his effort was deflected agonisingly wide. In the last 5 minutes as we tired further and struggled to get bodies back. Winton scored a 3rd when we failed to clear our lines and a 4th with the last kick of the game when a blocked effort was followed up by the Winton forward who scored a tap in. Final score 0-4.
Not the end to the season that we wanted but we knew it would be tough today against a decent side. Player of the match was Jack Costello at the back who marked the 6ft (12 year old) for Winton superbly and started many of our attacks from the back.
This has been a season of two halves for the Tornadoes, we couldnt buy a win before Christmas but have improved immensely since the new year and have won more games than we have lost in 2026. If the season had started in January we would be top half of the table. We need to work hard over the summer and try to continue our improvement in the 2026/27 season when we move up to U13s! Well done to all the players for their hard work and commitment during the season! ⚽️

Storm's foray into the U10 league ended in a loss though much like last week played exceptionally and deserved to come out with more.
Alfie started in net, Yusha & Reggie at the back with the familiar duo for the last time in the league this season saw Jacob & Nathan combine in midfield, with a host of attacking absentees Josh was pushed into wing with Max debuting on the opposite.
Both teams were trading blows with Deans initially looking the most likely - some solid stops by Alfie in net keeping the team at bay & saw Reggie / Yusha put on some heroic defending consistently blocking and deflecting shots wide.
As storm settled they looked the more likely to score - Nathan the architect playing through Max who’s shot trickled wide, a ball which Xavi would be proud of split defenders with Josh flashing wide. Storm keeping the pressure on saw a shot cleared off the line as Nathan again fed Max who’s shot was cleared off the line.
Against the run of play; storm playing out from goal kick had the ball nicked - they had worked it well on the right swinging in a few times, this time they found the striker who tapped in from close range. Both George and Reni arrived to bolster storms team.
Undettered Storm again wrestled control of the game - Nathan taking a shot from deep saw the keeper tap the ball onto the post & following a free kick again the woodwork came to the rescue for deans as Nathan’s strike it the crossbar. Further chances were falling as Storm held deans back around their penalty area with shots coming in from Jacob and Reni.
The pressure finally told; Nathan who was everywhere sprinted down the left, cut in and curled a cross in - this time found his man and it was Reni who connected to take another goal well.
Going in a the half time Deans stepped up the heat on Storm and looked the brighter - however Reggie, Yusha and Jacob were putting their bodies on the line to stop any shot on goal. Following a tustle in the box a challenge which could go either way saw a penalty awarded to deans which was dispatched expertly.
Storm had a fantastic 20 minutes of dominance where Deans were a raft of chances fell across the board. George, Reggie Nathan and Jacob were fantastic at recovering the ball, distributing and chances fell to Reni from distance, Max had a chance as he jinked through on the left though couldn’t get his shot off, Josh on the right flashing a shot marginally wide and Reggie having a volley in the box struck over the bar.
On the whistle a long ball was pumped through and was agonisingly deflected into the net by our own defender.
While it was a tough pill to swallow; Storm have stepped up an age group and have competed virtually every game they have played, have seen their football really improve; now go on to their final next week with the hopes of bringing home another cup!!!

*Reggie* - very strong performance from our rugged defender, held the line well, made the right decisions in passing, dribbling and was solid throughout bullying the attackers of deans stopping a load of attackers.

*Reni* - instant impact coming on and as per, does not look out of place playing not one but two years up. Took his goal well and was consistently lively - looking forward to seeing more of Reni next year in the team!
Moss Bank versus BEECHFIELD UTD STORM U'11's (9v9)
*We were by far the better side in first half. Played good football.
Zaid scored to make it 1-0, nice finish into the corner. He had another disallowed for offside. He also hit the post!
Moss bank had one chance and Amos made a great save in the top corner!
1-0 at halftime..
Second half we asked for more of the same but expected a drop off due to having no subs.
We tired as the game went on but kept going and battling.
Bobby hit bar twice with 2 great strikes!
Moss Bank's 2 goals come from our 2 errors.
Overall, we were happy with the lads effort, performance against a team in forest, championship team.
The formation we used worked very well in the main and plenty of positives to take away.
It was Morewa's first ever game! He did well upfront.. unlucky not to score!
Zaid was excellent today on left midfield… best game he’s played for us! Well done 👏
Motm went to the whole team for a fantastic effort and performance in the hot weather, no subs and a team in a higher division.
