*Horwich Bullets 3 v BEECHFIELD UTD U/11's STORM 3
Bolton Bury and District League 16/5/2026.
Well done to the boys this morning. They did really well to pull it back from 3-0 down.
Some of our lads were a year below as well so even better.
We started the game well, but looked a little open at the back at times. Getting caught on the break. Some lads were a bit guilty of trying to do too much with the ball, but once we started playing we looked good. Scored 3 very well taken goals.
Thought our keeper Amos made some really good important saves.
Their keeper was unbelievable and Motm for them. He was difficult to beat and only small.
Henry’s finish was fantastic, chipped him and got us going on the comeback! 3-1
That gave us some confidence, Oscar’s nice little flick pass through to Bobby who buried it in bottom corner. 3-2
The comeback was on and Carter went on his mad mazey runs taking 3/4 on. Won us the free kick and Bobby was the man for job, edge of the area.
Rifled it top corner 🚀 ⚽️ 3-3
In the last moment Bobby had another decent chance with a good shot but the keeper tipped it onto the bar!!
It was an entertaining game, end to end and plenty of positives to take. We’ll get back to work at training on Tuesday.!
Motm went to the whole team for a great comeback in the second half! Fair play to them, they didn’t give up! 👏

Winton U12 Wolverines 5-6 v BEECHFIELD UTD TORNADOES
We went into today's game with a few injuries and a couple of players feeling under the weather. Despite this we knew we had to perform better than Wednesday night to get a result today.
In an eventful game we almost took the lead after a couple of minutes when a mix up at the back saw the Winton defender hit their own post. Josh Green then had the chance to give Beechy the lead when he took it round the keeper but saw his effort blocked. Josh got his goal a minute later however when a crisp early strike from a Jack Sinclair through ball found the roof of the net. Tornadoes made it two shortly after when free kick specialist Jack Sinclair struck a thunderous effort from 30 yards over the keepers head to put us 2 up. Winton then pulled one back breaking through the middle of our defence to make it 2-1. We continued to press and were well on top, with Dawood Fakeeh and Josh again forcing good saves. It didnt take us long before our deserved 3rd goal came, Dawood following up a Josh effort that was initially saved. Shortly after Aidan Thompson hit a long strike from distance that was well saved and Dawood was unlucky not to score the follow up. Against the run of play Winton scored a 2nd just before half time and despite our dominance we only led 3-2 at half time.
At half time we switched stand in keepers, Grayson Evans had a great first half in goal ans Jayden Lowe took over in the pegs for the 2nd half, applause to both volunteering to go in goal to help out the team.
We continued to create in the 2nd half, Jack Sinclair struck another rocket from distance that was tipped over, Josh had another chance that went just wide, before another Josh effort struck the crossbar. Dawood then met a cross with a diving header but it went agonisingly wide... we needed to score more goals.
Our 4th came eventually by a complete fluke when a Jack Sinclair cross struck Mason Stockton's bum and trickled past the Winton keeper to give us a 4-2 lead! We were lucky when Winton struck the bar just after, but we extended our lead just after when Josh was fouled and converted the pen himself to give us a 5-2 lead. Winton in fairness then started to come on strong. Their tall lad scored a great header from a corner to make it 5-3 and they then had some great chances to score but were scuppered by excellent stops from Jayden in goal, and 2 flying blocks from Alex McGrory and another from Ty Dobson. Winton's pressure told when they scored again to make it 5-4 after we struggled to clear at the back, before Josh completed his hat trick with a looping strike from the edge of the box to make it 6-4. Winton pressed in the latter stages and despite them making it 6-5 with literally the last kick of the game, Beechy held on deservedly for a hard fought victory in a really entertaining match!
This was a great win given we were short a couple of players and some played despite being ill.
Notable performances today were Ty Dobson and Aidan Thompson in hybrid defence/midfield roles, Josh Green obviously stood out with yet another hat trick! Player of the Match however went to Jack Sinclair, a sublime 30 yard free kick and many assists from centre half.
Another big win for the Tornadoes, keeping up our great record in 2026. We have a tough game to end the season next Saturday but we have a chance if we fight for each other like we did today! ⚽️
**U9's League Match Report**
**Moorside Rangers 2 – 10 BEECHFIELD UTD LIGHTNING** ⚡
A lightning performance from the boys today in a bright early kick-off against local rivals Moorside Rangers.
With Bobby sidelined through injury, Finley started in goal, while Bodie and Lukasz lined up in defence. Brayden returned to action in midfield alongside Ralph, with Jayden and Elliot forming an attacking trio full of energy and pace.
Jayden and Elliot were on fire from the start, both grabbing two goals each and causing Moorside all sorts of problems with their speed and shooting from every angle. Brayden controlled the tempo brilliantly in midfield and capped off his display with a superb long-range strike.
Angelo later swapped with Finley in goal and was soon rewarded with a goal of his own following another excellent passage of team play ⚡
Billy returned to action in style, dazzling with his quick feet, and it wasn’t long before he added his name to the scoresheet with a fierce close-range finish.
Cruising into the second half, Lightning conceded an early goal, but Bodie responded with a contender for goal of the season — a stunning lob from inside his own half that sailed over the Moorside keeper and into the net. Beckham vibes on the touchline ⚡
At the back, Angelo and Lukasz helped steady things defensively, while Jayden showed safe hands after stepping into goal as Moorside tried to force their way back into the game. The hosts did manage a second goal with a long-range effort that just caught Jayden by surprise.
Finley and Billy weren’t content with just one goal each and both struck again shortly afterwards to wrap up an emphatic 10-2 victory ⚡
A fantastic all-round team performance from the boys today and a thoroughly deserved win after a dominant display.

First Half
Beechfield started well with Theo making an early save before some great passing between Zane, Noah, Rocco and Franklin nearly created the opener.
Mersey Valley took the lead but the Tornadoes responded positively with good dribbling from Gianluca and Eric causing problems down the wing.
Franklin equalised with a brilliant long-range effort to make it 1-1 but Mersey regained the lead before half time after a counter attack.
Second Half
The Tornadoes made a great start to the second half as Gianluca won the ball and Eric scored to level the game at 2-2.
Franklin then made a strong save before Theo scored a brilliant first-time volley from a big kick up field to put Beechfield ahead. Eric added another excellent goal after a strong dribble, while Zane defended well throughout and stopped a number of Mersey attacks. Rocco also came close to scoring with a long-range shot that forced a good save.
Mersey Valley fought back to make it 4-4 before scoring late on to win 5-4.
A tough result but another strong performance full of effort, teamwork and good football from the Tornadoes. 🌪️

Moorside Rangers Green 8 v BEECHFIELD UTD THUNDER 8
Last away game for Thunder in the league this season but
wow what a game that was with only five players available today. Thunder worked there socks off and was 10/10 for entertainment end to end great goals great defending (despite the scoreline) and some great goalkeeping and saves from Raurie who basically had a massive part in us getting a draw and put his body on the line a lot today the front three had a really big task working at the back and front constantly up and down for forty minutes non stop Freddie just showing what he can do up top his link up play was absolutely fantastic and took his goal superbly with a great finish and showed a lot of composure on the ball, Ronnie who got a knock to his foot early doors carried on through the pain and his crossfield passing to find a man everytime was well excuted and constant crosses into the box and again found the back of the net with a great finish and a great celebration, George who played in defence never gave up the fight all match and even scoring with a well taken long range effort which was overdue working hard all game, Aldo got the majority of the attacks going today showed a lot of creativity with his crossfield passes and didn't stop all game five well taken goals.
A magnificent team effort today only five players and every single one of them doing there best for there teammates probably a fair result in the end but a performance to be proud off from the boys three trophies where handed out today one for the team to have no subs and play for 40 minutes non stop was fully deserved and two trophies were given out to Goalkeeper Raurie Brassington who kept us in the match and Aldo Gannon whos creativity and goals helped the team get a draw away from home⚽️🌳🏆💙

🏆 SMALL SQUAD, BIG HEART – A BRAVE PERFORMANCE
Once again, the match was heavily affected by absences, leaving Beechfield with only five available players. Special thanks went to José, who stepped in to cover the goalkeeper position for the game.
The team started with Julio in defence, Caspian and Kevin on the wings, and Samuel leading the attack.
The opening minutes saw chances for both sides. José distributed the ball brilliantly from goal, helping Beechfield build attacks from the back, while Swinton Scorpions created several dangerous moments of their own.
After approximately five minutes, Swinton managed to score twice and take control of the match early on. However, Beechfield responded in unusual fashion — after a Swinton attack went out for a goal kick, José launched a long clearance that bounced inside the opposition area and found its way into the net, reducing the deficit and lifting the team’s energy immediately.
That goal sparked Beechfield into life. The attacks became more frequent, and during a strong run into the opposition area, Julio was brought down before shooting, earning a penalty that he converted confidently.
A few minutes later, Kevin received the ball, beat a defender with skill, and finished brilliantly to put Beechfield ahead for the first time in the match.
Swinton responded once again with two quick goals, but that only seemed to ignite Julio, who reacted immediately by recovering the ball high up the pitch after a goalkeeper error and finishing to level the score.
Before half-time, Julio struck again from a free kick that deflected off a Swinton defender and into the net, sending Beechfield into the break with a surprising and hard-earned 5–4 lead.
The second half was much tougher. Swinton raised their level and managed to score four goals across the final twenty minutes. Beechfield continued fighting and created good opportunities, but a combination of strong goalkeeping and solid defending from Swinton prevented the boys from finding the net again.
Despite the final score, the effort and determination shown by the team with such a limited squad was outstanding.

Julio — a phenomenal performance with a hat-trick, relentless pressing, strong defending, and constant danger going forward whenever the team needed inspiration.
👨👩👦 Parent Player of the Match
Caspian — tireless from start to finish, recovering important balls, stopping opposition attacks, and using his skills brilliantly to help launch Beechfield’s attacks.

Storm came up against top tier U10 opposition with a number of familiar faces - competed throughout and were unlucky with the result.
5 players down going into the game it was always going to be tough & with 6 starting the game (Alfie in net, Nathan & Vincent in an unfamiliar role of defender, Jacob in midfield with Arman & Imad on the wings) - however storm initially looked the brighter pulling off some great passing moves.
Against the run of play a deflected shot from the right had wrong footed Alfie in net who saw the ball fumble into the back of the goal for a cheap finish.
Storm rallied with a host of chances - corner swung in and bouncing out saw Arman strike a spectacular volley that crashed off the underside of the crossbar. Shortly after Imad had his own chance clip the crossbar and it was Arman again who had a chance flash past the post which looked destined for the net.
Boothstown did look for a response and had a couple of shots wide and one saved from Alfie with a big hand.
A quick change with Imad moving to the left almost showed immediate dividend as Nathan threaded a ball through and it resulted in a big save from the goal keeper.
Storm really putting the pressure on had Arman again involved now on the right, dancing past a couple, 1-2 with Jacob and strike for their goalkeeper to produce a diving save.
Rearguard did arrive in the form of George and Reni who both entered the fray - Ren fresh from an u8 game looked lively & George provided steel at the back. However a lack of warm up may have contributed as their striker ghosted in behind the lines, played through and tapped it past Alfie who rushed out of net.
Storm trying to work out from a goal kick were undone from a fluid passage of play from Boothstown with them dispatching a shot into the top of the net.
Storm feeling hard done by at half time showed resilience to hit back in the second - straight from the off the lads showed determination. Vincent went in net and Nathan switched at the back.
Nathan who had been brilliant in the first half had took the ball from defence, jinked past a couple of players, took it to the bi line and crossed in to Jacob who continued his excellent goal scoring form to put into the bottom left.
In the ascendency Nathan again driving the ball through the middle split Boothstown's defence with a through ball to Imad who took his 24th goal of the season for the storm.
Opposition very much on the back foot now had Imad power down the left, cross the ball in and Reni connected with a volley that agonisingly went over.
Boothstown were restricted to chances with pot shots flying over & any long balls excellently recovered by Vincent - however storm now dead on their feet were undone by another great passing move.
Faced against a really competitive team Storm performed excellently and on another day the result could’ve been different.

*Arman* - seems to be taking to U10 like a duck to water, buying into the fast passing, always battling & was a live wire throughout.

*Nathan* as per has been excellent in this game driving the team on though combining with *Imad* showed signs of being a lethal partnership as both tormented the opposition and were unlucky not to take their team to victory!
