*BEECHFIELD UTD U12 TORNADOES 3-3 Salford Storm U12 Tsunami
For the 2nd week running the in form Tornadoes switched location to the away ground, and we were down to the bare bones today with coach and player absences meaning we started the match with a bare 9 players and some playing in unusual roles.
Salford took the lead with barely 5 minutes on the clock with an effort that struck one of our lads on the way in. We soon went up the other end and equalised however through Dawood Fakeeh. Shortly after we were awarded a penalty which was agonisingly saved, but Dawood popped up again to slot in the rebound to put the Tornadoes 2-1 ahead. Salford had chances of their own but the Beechy defence held firm with Ty Dobson making some great stops. We went 3-1 ahead before half time and it was that man again Dawood Fakeeh with a first half hat-trick! Half time 3-1 Beechy.
In the 2nd half Salford came on strong and dominated the ball and territory, at times we could not get out. Salford had the luxury of bringing on fresh legs, something we did not have, and their dominance paid off when they made it 3-2 not long into the 2nd half with a free kick. As the game wore on we stayed solid at the back despite Salford creating the better chances but just as the clock struck the final minute and it looked like we would hold on for a big win the Salford pressure told as they forced an equaliser with literally the last kick of the game, the 2nd last minute game changing goal we have conceded v Salford Tsunami this season. Final Score 3-3, the points were shared.
The Beechy boys looked distraught at the end but they should be proud of themselves today yet again, we just ran out of gas in the last few minutes with 9 players.
Some notable performances from many today including Ryan Cordingley, Harry Myddelton and Grayson Evans, but player of the match had to be hattrick hero Dawood Fakeeh! Well done Dawood!
The disappointment in our players faces at the end today shows how far we've come, we were up against it from the off today but the 9 men all put in a shift and we were agonisingly close to all 3 points. We play the same opposition on the same pitch in our next league match so bring it on! š ā½ļøš

BEECHFIELD UTD STORM U12s 5ā1 Swinton Warriors U12s
Beechfield United Storm delivered a superb performance to overcome Swinton Warriors with an emphatic 5ā1 victoryāmade even more impressive by the fact they played the entire match a player down.
From the first whistle, Beechfield showed incredible determination, organisation, and quality on the ball. Despite the numerical disadvantage, they dominated possession and dictated the tempo, playing some excellent, confident football that kept Swinton on the back foot.
The breakthrough came early, rewarding Beechfieldās bright start, and it set the tone for the rest of the game. Quick passing, intelligent movement, and relentless pressing allowed them to create chance after chance. By halftime, they had established a comfortable lead, leaving Swinton struggling to find any rhythm.
The second half followed a similar pattern. Even when Swinton managed to pull one back, Beechfield responded immediately, showing great character and composure. Their attacking play was sharp and clinical, while defensively they remained disciplined and hard to break down despite being a man light.
The standout performer was Barkley Pope, who earned a well-deserved Man of the Match award. His all-round displayāfull of energy, skill, and leadershipāwas key to Beechfieldās dominance and helped drive the team forward throughout the match.
In the end, a 5ā1 scoreline only told part of the story. This was a fantastic team performance from Beechfield United Storm, showcasing resilience, teamwork, and some top-quality football. Goalscorers for Storm were Barkley Pope (3) Denholm Brooks and Joel Momoh.

Friendly Match 2/5/2026
Just a quick message following on from todayās game. I knew it would be a tough game against a good prem side. These are the games the lad need to be playing in order to improve.
We will face sides like that next season if we get promotedā¦
Bolton started fast and grabbed a couple of early goals. That woke us up a little and we came into the game from there. We emphasised before the game to take less touches and play the ball quicker. You donāt have as much time on the ball the higher level you go.
Once we get playing our 2/3 touch game we can compete with any team on our day and we believe if we take our chances in the first and second half then itās a different game. I believe their keeper had an unreal game. Maxās goal was a great finish with his weaker foot.
Forget about the result. There are plenty of positives to take away to work on. The aim is to improve all players as much as we can.
I canāt fault the lads attitudes and efforts. That alone will take them along way.
Tireni was voted Man of the Match for his great work rate. Itās the work rate off the ball that helps the team so much and he showed that today.
If we lose the ball then we aim to win it back as quickly as possible.
Thanks to Kirk and Nick for helping out. Much appreciated as always. Itās good for the lads to hear different voices sometimes as I bet they get sick of mine!

Just a quick message following on from the cup game. It pretty much summed up our season.
We dominated most of the play for the first 2/3s of the game. There was a spell in the second half where we had 3/4 great chances. Decent long range shots. We hit the barā¦ We tested the keeper more who made 2/3 top saves. But then Astley went on to score 3 goals in the latter part of the game.
Having no subs meant the lads tired as the game went in to the latter stages.
We defended well and were well organised as a team for most of the game. Few little mistakes and not winning the second balls/ backing off them cost us.
It was just our luck and unfortunate as to how it panned out, but thatās football.
Itās a tough one to take but we will push forward to improve.

BECHFIELD UTD THUNDER 1 v BEECHFIELD UTD STORM 8
A scoreline that didn't reflect how well Thunder played today who was constantly trying to soak up pressure against the away team plenty of positives throughout the match with the link up play and created a lot of chances in front of goal Thunder got there rewards with a great goal from Parker Haworth who was carrying a ankle injury but was determined to play,the lads never gave up and yet again really proud of our boys how they conduct there selves on the field a minor blip in a fantastic season for Thunder. Trophy winners today was Roman Ashworth his first game back since breaking his arm and did not stop running and pressing was good to get him some game time in a tough match to come back into George Lawson whos tackling everything in sight and creating some chances for his teammates and Aldo Gannon who worked to find a goal up front and then asked to do a job on the right finding some great crosses and passes.

*Winton Wanderers Jaguars U8's 2 BEECHFIELD UTD TORNADOES U8s 4
Both teams started well chances at both ends...Eric was making some great driving runs down the right and finished one well.....
One nil Beechy we then gave away a needless corner defending it poorly and it dropped to a Winton player who scored to make it 1-1....
Some good football played and chances created and missed until Gianluca beat his man and slotted the ball home..Minutes before halftime another corner for Winton which was deflected by a Beechy player into the goal....
Halftime 2-2 ..
Second half Beechy stepped up and Zane at the back was outstanding stopping everything..Going forward Eric who had switched to the left carried on where he had left off the first half...Superb driving runs causing havoc scoring his second and third goals of the game securing his Player of the Match trophy and a well deserved 4-2 win for the Beechy Tornadoes....

Deans Panthers 2 ā 1 v BEECHFIELD UTD LIGHTNING
A close encounter today for the Lightning boys against Deans Panthers.
The lads started brightly, launching wave after wave of early attacks that clearly unsettled the Panthers. Filling in for the injured Bobby in goal was Ralph, with Angelo and Bodie in defence. Finley took control in midfield, while the long-awaited return of the āgalloping gazelleā Elliott added energy on the right wing. Jayden attacked down the left, with Freddie leading the line.
The breakthrough came midway through the first half when supersub Bobbyāproving heās not just a goalkeeperāexpertly finished a lovely cross from Elliott š. Lightning continued to create chances, but a lapse in concentration allowed Panthers to equalise before the break.
Lucas came on in the second half and made some strong interceptions alongside Angelo and Bodie. Finley, as tenacious as ever, was unlucky to see a couple of goal-bound efforts blocked. Jayden remained a constant threat with his quick feet, going close on several occasions, including one effort that shaved the woodwork.
Ralph showed great composure on his debut in goal, launching some excellent kicks forward to spark attacks. However, a sloppy goal saw Lightning fall behind, and despite their efforts, they struggled to recover, with the match finishing 2ā1 to Deans Panthers.
A disappointing result in the end, as it was a game the boys could have won given the number of chances created. A strong start wasnāt maintained, and taking their foot off the gas after the opening 15 minutes proved costly.

Great to see him backāhe was electric down the wing, unlucky not to score himself after hitting the woodwork, and provided the assist for Bobby. š

š SPRING BATTLE ā SIGNS OF PROGRESS AGAINST A TOUGH OPPONENT
A springtime clash against a familiar opponent who has proven difficult in previous encounters. The team started with Harry in goal, William in defence, and an attacking trio of Alvin, Samuel, and Kevin.
Salford Storm took control early, scoring three quick goals and putting Beechfield under immediate pressure. However, the response from Beechfield showed character and quality.
The first goal to Beechfield came from a great combination between Caspian and Julio ā Caspian provided the assist, and Julio calmly finished in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper.
The second followed a moment of individual brilliance from Julio, who dribbled past defenders after a kick-in delivered a perfectly timed pass to Caspian, who finished excellently.
Despite the comeback, Salford added three more goals before half-time, leaving the score at 6ā2.
The second half saw Beechfield continue to fight, even while playing much of the period with additional players. Salford extended their lead further with three more goals, but the determination of the team never dropped.
Samuel led the response with a superb hat-trick:
The first came from an indirect free kick, with Julio setting him up before Samuel beat a defender and scored.
The second followed a strong recovery from Caspian, who played a precise pass for Samuel to finish clinically.
The final goal came just before the end, a beautifully struck free kick into the top corner, leaving no chance for the goalkeeper.
The match was marred by some poor refereeing decisions and favouritism towards Salford Storm, however despite the result, this performance showed clear progress. The team managed to significantly close the gap compared to previous encounters, competing strongly and creating quality chances throughout the match.

Julio ā a decisive influence throughout the game, contributing one goal and two assists, constantly creating danger and drawing multiple defenders with his movement and skill.

Caspian ā arguably his best performance of the season. Excellent work rate across the pitch, strong ball recoveries, intelligent distribution, and capped off with a well-taken goal.

Beechfield Tornadoes put in a spirited performance despite falling to a 5ā3 defeat against Deans Lions in an entertaining and competitive match.
Although the result didnāt go our way, there were plenty of positives to take from the game, particularly in our build-up play. The team showed real composure on the ball at times, working well through the thirds and creating chances through some excellent passing combinations. The movement and willingness to play out from the back was encouraging and showed clear progress in how the team is developing.
All three Beechfield goals came from an excellent attacking partnership between Ezra and Arlo. Ezra was at the heart of everything creative, providing all three assists with some superb vision and delivery, while Arlo finished clinically to complete a well-earned hat-trick.
Ezraās all-round performance earned him Beechfield Tornadoes Man of the Match, with his creativity, work rate, and influence across the pitch standing out throughout the game.
A second Man of the Match award, selected by club representatives, went to Amir for his outstanding effort, determination, and contribution over the course of the match.
While defeat is never the desired outcome, the Tornadoes can take confidence from many aspects of the performance. The quality shown in possession and the positive attacking moments are strong foundations to build on heading into the next fixture. ā

An injury ravaged Storm only had 7 fit players today facing a team a year older, the game was alot closer than the scoreline suggests but Storm were punished for mistakes..
Starting with vince in net, Yusha and Reggie at the back , Jacob, Nathan and James in midfield with george filling the target man role.
Game started nip and tuck Nathan slipping thru to James who let a shot loose, saved well by the deans keeper.
The game turned after 5 mins with an unchartaristic error from keeper spilling the ball for their striker to finish... Vince would make several key saves to make up for this during the match .
Deans would then get a free kick due to a handball which was dispatched top corner .. beechy then hit back, James finding Nathan just inside the deans half, Nathan went on a mazy run into the Deans box and finished well into the bottom corner .
Deans would again score from a set piece, a kick in from the side line , touched in the rocketed again top corner , keeper no chance.
The game was back and forth , lots of long balls from Deans, Yusha and Reggie battling well with George now switching into defence helping, Jacob and Nathan marshalling the midfield well.
Deans got another set piece from another handball and scored a penalty, vince so close to saving this.
Into the second half another Deans long ball bounced over the defenders and was finished again.
Beechy did start to play better Nathan finding Reggie who expertly chested forward finding the run of James who rounded the keeper and tried to finish from a tight angle hitting the inside of the far post and rolling across the line ... refusing to go in .. this summed up beechys day with Jacob also volleying over from close range following a cross .
Another Beechy chance at the end as some nice interplay between James, Nathan and Jacob released Reggie, now playing striker, Reggie looked certain to score but blazed over, summing up Storm's day.
A battling performance where all lads played a full 50 minutes ... where nothing would go in for us and everything seemed to go in for Deans. A game of long balls where Beechy played the better football but were punished for mistakes and couldn't find the net ourselves.

Yusha - marshalled the defence well , stuck to his task with some key tackles and interceptions .
Managers Player of the Match- Nathan
Drove the team forward, was the best player on the pitch today, tackles, passing and a goal.
