🎙️ Match Commentary
The match kicked off under very challenging weather conditions, with strong winds that felt almost like a storm. With Harry unavailable, Jude stepped into goal, while William led from the back and the attacking trio of Samuel, Alvin, and Julio formed the front line.
Facing a team from a lower division, Beechfield quickly took control of the match. It didn’t take long for the opening goal — Samuel recovered the ball, drove forward, and finished confidently to put the team ahead.
The second goal came from a brilliant quick restart by Jude, whose precise distribution found Alvin. Alvin beat a defender and finished well to double the lead.
Deans managed to respond with a quick attacking move to score, but Beechfield kept pushing. The third goal came from a great pass by William to Samuel, who struck powerfully to score. Soon after, a strong combination between Samuel and Alvin resulted in Alvin’s second goal of the match.
A moment of miscommunication during a corner allowed Deans to counter and score their second goal, but Beechfield answered again — Samuel provided another assist, this time to Julio, who fired a marvelous shot into the top corner.
Before half-time, Deans added one more from a throw-in, leaving the score at 5–3 in favour of Beechfield.
The second half started with the same attacking intensity. Alvin was relentless, capitalising twice on the goalkeeper’s distribution to score two more goals. He wasn’t done yet — after an unexpected assist involving Caspian head, Alvin added another to his tally.
Shortly after, Caspian got his reward, scoring after reacting quickly to a rebound from the goalkeeper.
Deans managed to add two more goals, but the final word belonged to Samuel, who recovered the ball deep in his own half, drove forward, and finished with one of his trademark powerful strikes to seal the 10–5 victory.
It was a very strong performance overall, especially considering the difficult weather conditions. The team showed great pressing, control, and attacking quality throughout most of the match, the best way to debut our new kits thanks to our sponsor Dixon Plywood LTD.

Although some of the lads deserved individual recognition today the MOM goes to the whole team because everyone played phenomenally, none of the children had a bad performance today

Alvin — an outstanding performance with five goals, constant pressure on the opposition, and excellent movement throughout the match. Simply unstoppable today.
**Beechfield UTD TORNADOES U8s v Stretford Vics(Away)

First Half:
Beechfield started quickly, winning early corners and putting Stretford under pressure.
Franklin made a good save and set up an attack, while Theo looked sharp with a couple of strong efforts.
Eric and Gianluca showed great teamwork, linking play well with others and using their passing and footwork to help drive attacks forward.
Sergio was solid defensively with an important block. Zane was also exceptional in defence, making important clearances and putting in some strong blocks to protect the goal.
The breakthrough came from a great cross by Sergio, finished well by Theo to make it 1–0. Stretford responded with a long-range effort to level the game before half time.
Second Half:
Beechfield continued to create chances, with free kicks testing the goalkeeper. Rocco put in a much stronger and more confident performance, showing real improvement and growing into the game.
At the other end, Theo and Franklin combined well to deal with a dangerous corner. Noah worked hard battling well for the ball.
As the game looked set for penalties, Stretford scored a late winner with a long shot in the final minute.
A tough way for the cup run to end, with the game looking like it was heading to penalties before a late goal in the final minutes decided it.
**SDFL Under 8's
Moorside Rangers Green v BEECHFIELD UNITED THUNDER
Thunder got back to winning ways with a comprehensive victory against Moorside Rangers Green. Player of the Match Gideon James who again led his side brought a solid defensive game plus scoring two well taken goals again. Aldo Gannon netted two goals again being in the right place at the right time with Roman Ashworth rounding off the scoring with a lovely strike in a game that Thunder completely dominated from start to finish. With a great workman like performance all the boys had the right attitude all the way through the match. Team coaches Player of the Match went to Parker Haworth who's strong passing and willingness throughout the match was fully deserved. Beechy proved that when they move the ball about they look very good in attack. Thunder's squad was Raurie, Gideon, Roman, Ronnie, Aldo, George, Parker and Freddie.

Another strong dominant performance from the Tornadoes who have really dominated the league since Christmas. Build up play was a step up again today with smooth passing from goalkeeper all the way to striker. Bodies on the line defensively and an impressive work rate from all.
Motm Ezra for showing huge character to come back after a mistake to take charge of his position bravely blocking multiple shots and helping his team stay infront.
**Match Report: U12s
BEECHFIELD UTD STORM v Ashton on Mersey Mambas
Beechfield Storm produced a spirited and determined performance in a high-energy encounter against Ashton on Mersey Mambas, with the final scoreline not truly reflecting how competitive the match was.
The game got off to a frantic start, with Ashton racing into a 2-0 lead within the opening minutes. Despite the early setback, Beechy showed great character and composure to fight their way back into the game. Two superbly taken goals from Ismail Adetona and Austin Pierce brought the score level at 2-2, swinging momentum firmly in Beechfield’s favour.
Beechy looked the more dangerous side for large parts of the first half and created two excellent chances to take the lead, but were ultimately punished on the counter-attack, with Ashton restoring their advantage to go into half-time 3-2 up.
The second half saw Beechfield continue to push forward with real intent. They forced a couple of strong saves from the opposition goalkeeper and were left frustrated after two clear penalty appeals were waved away. The effort and determination from the Beechy boys could not be faulted as they searched tirelessly for an equaliser.
As the game opened up, Ashton capitalised again on the break. However, Ismail Adetona grabbed his second goal of the match to pull it back to 4-3 and set up a tense finish. With Beechy committing more players forward in pursuit of an equaliser, gaps began to appear, and Ashton took advantage, scoring three late goals in the final five minutes to give the scoreline a more one-sided look than the game deserved.
Despite the result, this was a fantastic performance full of effort, resilience, and attacking quality from Beechfield Storm.
Man of the Match: Joel Momoh
**In the Salford and Districts League BEECHFIELD UNITED U/16's TORNADOES were away to Swinton Panthers in the Supplementary Cup. At the end of normal time the teams shared a 2-2 scoreline forcing a penalty kick decider. Both goals for the Tornadoes in the allocated eighty minutes were scored by recent new signing Daniel Riding. Beechy won the resulting shoot-out 4-2 with Enzo Da Silva cooly slotting home the deciding spot-kick. The Beechy Boys had good reason to celebrate because this was their first victory of the season.
**BEECHFIELD UTD U/12's TORNADOES 8-4 Winton Wolverines
We had to switch our home game to Winton today due to the pitch damage on Beech Farm. The ferocious wind made playing conditions difficult but we coped better than Winton in the early exchanges with the wind in our favour and quickly found ourselves 2 up, both goals similar from Josh Green bursting through the middle. Winton then pulled one back with a similar goal through the middle, before we went 3-1 up when a fine Jack Sinclair corner was forced home - it might have been an own goal but Dawood Fakeeh got the final touch so is claiming it! We were playing some good football through the middle of the park and again Josh Green was played through just before half time, again he finished with aplomb to complete a magnificent first half hat trick. Half time 4-1 to Beechy, bizzarely the first half time lead we have had all season.
In the 2nd half we had the wind against us so expected it to be tougher. Nevertheless we soon got a 5th and it was Josh again, rounding the keeper for his 4th and Beechys 5th. Shortly after a misunderstanding at the back led to Winton's 2nd goal and they were back into the game at 5-2. It didnt take long for us to restore our 4 goal lead however, no surprise it was Josh again with his 5th and Beechys 6th. Josh then turned provider setting up Grayson Evans who made it 7-2. Josh was determined to get his double hat trick and he did with another clinical finish and we were 8-2 ahead. In the last 10 minutes the whole team seemed to want to get on the scoresheet and we were caught out a couple of times at the back by Winton, who to their credit never gave up. Final score 8-4 to Beechy, our biggest win of the season so far!
Another fine performance from the team and we were clinical in front of goal today, something we have lacked in recent weeks. A big win has been coming for the team and today it happened as we contunue our improvement and march up the league table.
Player of the match today could only be 6 goal hero Josh Green. A tremendous personal performance he caused nightmares for the Winton defence all day and his finishing was sublime.
We have a couple of weeks off now over Easter but need to continue our fine form going into the last 6 matches of the season. Go Beechy! ⚽️👕😁
**BEECHFIELD UTD LIGHTNING U12's 1 v Parkwyddn Predators 3
As we finished bottom of our mini league (on goal difference) we had to play the top team from the other group.
Last time we played them three weeks ago we got beat 10 -1 so we knew it would be a tough ask.
We started very well, we created a few chances and was looking like the team that was going to score but against the run of play we found ourselves 1-0 down.
This seemed to only inspire us as ten minutes later Austin Fillingham smashed in a superb free kick to make it 1-1.
The boys were playing very well and we took the draw into half time.
The second half wasnt much different but the Predators got a masive boost when Crewe Reeves accidently handled in his own area to give away a penalty. They scored to make it 2-1.
We pushed hard for an equalizer but it didnt come, we gave away another goal near the death and that was game over.
The fact that we was very much in this game up until the last five mins was a massive improvent from our lads and i couldnt have been more proud !!!
This was probably our best performance of the season.

**Astley & Buckshaw 1 v BEECHFIELD UTD U/11's STORM 0
Good battle for the lads. First half, had most of the play but didn’t capitalise and they scored against the run of play. We were unlucky to go in at halftime losing.
Second half, much better, aside from a few defensive lapses. We had a few chances but just didn’t get enough clear cut chances.
In summary, we were unlucky to lose and were the better team for most of the game.
Motm went to Jacob, coaches and away coaches Motm. Mopped everything up today on a difficult pitch. That wind was horrible too.
Unlucky to the lads but we move on to next week.

**Another frustrating result today.
AFC Bolton 4 v BEECHFIELD UNITED U/13's TORNADOES 3
AFC Bolton were well up for it from the start and wanted it more than us. It was their cup final…. That was the real difference and the reason that we gave away 4 sloppy goals and didn’t take advance of holding on to our lead 3 times.
First half we were off the pace and playing into that horrible wind. Didn’t really get going fully, but we scored against the run of play.
Tom scored a couple of well taken goals.
We were poor defensively as a unit, but Harvey made some good saves to keep us in the game.
2-1 at halftime.
We then allowed them back into the game again and slowly but surely they did. They equalised before Hudson went on a great run and slotted home a great finish.
Leading 3-2 with 5/10 mins to go, we should have seen it out, shut up shop, but we made a couple of mistakes which they capitalised on.
Final score 4-3
The lads need to learn from it and move on. It’s not nice being on the wrong end of a comeback like that. It’s tough to take.
I don’t need to scream and shout like their coaches were doing today. Wow…
I thought they were gonna need a defib at one point!!
The 2 standouts were Harvey and also Tom R today.
Harvey - some great saves. Keeping us in the game first half. Kicking and distribution was good especially in that tough wind.
Tom R - standout performance again especially in the first half. 2 well taken goals and always a threat.
