Beechfield Storm produced a spectacular performance to book their place in the second successive supplementary cup final.
Beechfield started steadily, passing the ball well with Imad and Henry combining well on the left wing - allowing Fred space in the box - a couple of shots saved well by Stretford.
It was that combination that gave Beechy the lead, doubling on the left Henry played Imad through who’s pinpoint cross found Fred to start off.
Fred this time on the left, caught by the defence and then produced a sublime David Beckham inspired free kick from distance nestling into the top right.
Imad eager to get himself of the scoresheet cracked a shot from outside the box, deflecting off the crossbar and Fred again the sharpest putting the ball into the back of the net for his hattrick.
Stretford really struggling to contain a Storm team absolutely on fire, Fred returned the favour. George winning the ball in midfield, playing Fred who then fed Imad who raced through placing it past the goal keeper.
James taking to the field had an immediate impact - playing Imad who was oozing creative confidence squaring it across for Caleb to make a goal scoring return to the team. From a corner Caleb found Imad who shifted the ball across to James who blasted his ball into the back of the net taking a hat trick of assists for Storm's top goal scorer!
It wasn’t all plain sailing - some good work from Stretford left their striker one on one and Alfie made a huge save to preserve the scoreline.
A slower start for Beechfield in the second let Stretford start to come back at them. A shot looking destined for the top corner saw Vincent acrobatically save and tip onto the crossbar.
Caleb who started to really grow into the game darted down the right and found Fred with a pin point cross - the captain for the day made no mistake.
Henry winning a free kick on the left came close, swinging a ball in causing panic and was almost finished by Reg who ended up being forced out wide.
Fred happy with his four goals wanted to evidently add a hat trick of assists too. Feeding James on the left from defence, James stormed into the box lacing a left footed shot past the goalie. From an identical position Fred then found Caleb who danced his way around a couple of players coolly putting the ball past the keeper.
As the opposition started to scrap Beechy stood up to it - Reggie, Fred and James battling hard throughout almost created a chance for Caleb though Fred’s cross just missed its targets.
Caleb putting the icing on the cake with his own hat trick… won the ball from a stray pass, took it round two players on the left and placed expertly past.
Storm set a new bench mark where every single lad played out of their skin today - from Alf and Vince making great saves to maintain a clean sheet, George and Reggie’s selfless role in allowing James / Fred the freedom to push and the magic produced by Caleb, Henry and Imad throughout - the team battled tooth and nail for every ball and thoroughly deserve to be in the final.
MOTM
Almost impossible to choose though MOTM went to Captain fantastic Freddy Quinn won Man of the Match - absolutely outstanding performance, scored 4 goals, 3 assists and managed the defence & attack from start to finish. Not only this, he was constantly talking, leading on the pitch and pushing his team on.
