First Half
It was a strong start from the Tornadoes with solid defending from Zane and Rocco.
Theo made a block and two good saves in goal, showing bravery throughout the first half.
Sergio was lively, making a great run before combining well with Eric as usual for Eric to score.
The Tigers equalised after a tough moment where Theo unfortunately took a shot to the face, leaving the game level at 1–1 at the break.

Second Half
Theo was energetic straight off, hitting the post from a free kick and making strong runs forward.
Sergio battled hard and got a well-deserved goal, while Franklin made several very important saves to keep the game tight.
Eric worked tirelessly, scoring again after a Gianluca assist, and later setting up a goal for Theo.
Noah also took a shot but was denied by the keeper.
The Tigers kept pushing and found the net to make it 4–4, sending the game to penalties.
Theo and Eric both scored their penalties, and Franklin made two brilliant saves to win the shootout for the Tornadoes.

A very competitive match with great teamwork and effort throughout. It was another excellent game against Swinton Tigers, with both teams showing similar ability and producing a closely contested battle from start to finish.

🏆 BACK TO WINNING WAYS – ATTACKING FOOTBALL ON DISPLAY

The day began with perfect weather for football, and the boys looked ready from the start. Harry opened in goal, William anchored the defence, with Julio, Kevin, and Alvin leading the attack.
The opening minutes were balanced, with both teams creating opportunities. The breakthrough came when Kevin reacted quickest to a poor clearance from the opposition goalkeeper, recovering the ball and calmly placing it into the net.
Swinton responded by breaking through our defence to equalise, but Beechfield answered immediately. Julio showed strength and determination, recovering the ball, driving forward, and finishing confidently to restore the lead.
Swinton struck again, but from that moment the momentum shifted. Samuel delivered two excellent assists — one to Jude, who finished superbly, and another to Julio, who once again found the back of the net.
Before half-time, Julio’s pace caused more problems as he recovered another ball and added the fifth, sending Beechfield into the break firmly in control.
The second half picked up exactly where the first left off. Two early goals from Kevin extended the lead — one assisted by Alvin, and the other showing pure determination after his free kick was saved; Kevin chased the rebound and finished to complete his hat-trick.
Swinton managed to pull one back, but Julio made another explosive run down the left wing. His powerful effort deflected off a defender and into the net for an own goal, pushing the score to 8–3.
With a comfortable advantage, Beechfield’s intensity dipped slightly, and Swinton capitalised on defensive lapses to score three late goals. However, the earlier dominance proved decisive, and the match finished 8–6 in Beechfield’s favour.

The players each voted, and while every teammate received recognition, the final decision went to Alvin. An outstanding performance — precise ball recovery, intelligent runs, and perfectly timed passes that turned simple plays into real goal-scoring opportunities.

**Under 8s Supplementary Cup
Beechfield THUNDER 6 v Flixton Raptors 3
Two evenly matched teams making this a good cup tie Flixton started the stronger team dominating possession and scoring two unanswered goals in the first half but the second half was a completely different story with Thunder getting back to basics and upping the work rate and totally dominating the second half with six goals coming from Ronnie Green 2 Roman Ashworth 2 and Gideon James 2 Player of the Match Roman Ashworth who switched positions turning defence into attack was instrumental in that second half display aswell as Freddie Tipton who got Coaches Player of the Match with a strong display upfront, an ugly win today from the boys but credit to them for getting back in the game and showing a lot of character and composure to take the win in the end.
A special mention for Jesse Fletcher who has decided today to leave the club we wish Jesse all the best on the next step of his football journey ⚽️💙

**Beechfield Utd U/13's TORNADOES 9 v Pine Villa 1
The Beechy boys were back in town today and absolutely fantastic this morning! Bounced right back after last weeks bad result.
Every one of the lads were brilliant in what was one of our best performances of the season so far.
Proper team effort and the football was a joy to watch.
2-touch at times and the passing and moving was on point!
Creating angles on passes is something we’ve been working on recently, so to see it play out the way it did is amazing!
Some of the goals today were top drawer! The build up play from back to front… class 👏
We defended much better as a team. Calm and composed on the ball. Recovering well and playing up through to midfield. Link up play and partnerships were clear to see!

Tom R - great debut goal for him and he’s slotted straight in! ⚽️

**Beechfield Utd U/11's STORM v Leigh United
The Under 11's Storm (9v9) had just nine players for their Bolton Bury and District League Green Division fixture with Leigh United but the lads did well as they produced a battling display. The team need to learn how to manage the game better when in winning positions especially making better use of the ball. Overall Storm played some good football as they created several decent chances and with a full squad available Beechy will beat their opponents next time. There was great perseverance and determination from Storm who kept going until the final whistle. Beechy led 2-0 but Leigh United made it 2-2 and in the second half Storm went 3-2 but lost the game 4-3. Beechy's players were Alfie, Harry, Jacob, Zaid, Henry, Carter, Bobby, Albie and Dexter. The goals came via Henry, Carter (penalty) plus an own goal.
**There was another highly impressive performance from the Under 11's THUNDER in the Manchester Youth Super League. At the leagues central venue the Beechy Boys produced an outstanding all-round team effort against Prestwich Lions who had beaten Thunder in a previous game. Some clinical finishing was added to the excellent overall play that was on view especially in the second half. Man of the Match was a difficult choice because every player was outstanding. Goals for Beechy in this emphatic victory came via Sonny Phillips (4) Edan Telford (4) Harley Cosgrove-Newby, Henry Jones and Deo WaiWai. Goalkeeper Michael Omeregie made some top class saves.

5 minutes from a final.
Tornados demonstrated their aggression (the positive definition), growth on the ball and hard working nature creating bucket loads of chances and limiting the opposition to very few.
Turning over a one goal deficit in the first half the young Beechy side lead up until the final moments but, despite a late rally including an agonisingly close strike being tipped onto the bar in the games last action, two quick fire goals left the team with a feeling of disappointment.
That disappointment is a sign of the progression of this team and these lads. Not many would have given the side a chance of being in this position when we started the season but they were within a whisker of getting there and will absolutely come back stronger.
Therefore, the disappointment is overtaken by pride.
Every one of the players should carry themselves with pride.

With absentees aplenty Storm selected a more unconventional side though they rose to the occasion in a solid performance against opposition in a different league with our off week in the cup.
Alfie in net, Reggie and Josh at the back, Nathan & Jacob in the middle with Vincent & Jose on the wings.
Storm playing to the strengths of the pitch playing crisp direct football - chances coming and with Josh bombing up top, playing across to Nathan who sweetly struck into the bottom corner to start proceedings.
Storm poured forward and chances created by Vince on the wing stinging the palms of the goalie, Jacob and Jose both unluckily striking wide with shots
On a breakaway goal Nath played to Jacob who shifted across to Vince who struck to take a goal - Beechy now confident applied pressure and this time Nathan played across the box to Jacob, took a touch and struck past the keeper showing composure.
Reggie on corner duty swung in to Nathan who buried excellently for his brace. Storm continued pushing and Nathan who in the first half was everywhere played across to Josh who smashed home running round with what looked like a shearer-esq celebration.
The defence in this first half had been imperious - both George and Reggie had been unbeatable consistently stopping any attacks and starting attacks from the back with Alfie not being called upon in goal. Reggie who had a couple of attacking runs down the left struck a shot from the edge of the box which took a good save from the keeper.
A tighter second half saw a change in formation with Alfie now upfront & Vincent in net - immediately getting involved battling to win the ball back and passing cleanly to Nathan, then on to jacob who slid through Alfie - struck the ball well but agonisingly went wide.
From creator Jacob decided to try and create one for himself taking it past two players starting on the left and his shot that looked destined for the net went wide.
A half which Jacob dictated had collected a pass from defence by Josh, bombed down the right and picked Alfie at the back post to bundle in.
It was a final flurry at the end of the game as Alfie now turned creator playing a beautiful through ball to Josh who somehow squeezed the ball past the goal keeper from an acute angle on the right.
Jose who had been unlucky to not score at the death shot the ball from distance to complete the victory.
This half Deans did have chances and were unlucky to not get a goal, one hitting the post & Vincent tipping one onto the cross bar.
*MOTM*
While a lot of the defence can take credit as George and Josh had excellent games MOTM went to *Reggie* - solid at the back and unbeatable in tackles, got an assist, passes on point and confident running forward on multiple occasions. Well deserved.
Shout outs to both Vince and to Alfie who usually the goal keepers both played their part in creating and scoring goals today!

*Jacob* - brilliant performance that had everything - box to box play, goals, assists and even a messi like slalom run which deserved a goal at the end.
**Salford Town Devils 1-0 Beechfield Utd U12 TORNADOES
Supplementary Cup
The Tornadoes went into today's cup match against Salford Town in good form looking to maintain their 100% record at the top of the Supplimentary Cup group.
We were right at Salford from the off and penned them in their own half. We played some good football and created countless amounts of clear opportunities, with Dawood Fakeeh, Josh Green, Grayson Evans and Ryan Cordingley all going close. The ball wouldn't go in though, and we missed 2 open goals and countless one on ones. Salford had one opportunity all half when keeper Ty Dobson tipped an awkward effort onto the bar. HT 0-0 but we could have been 4 or 5 up at least.
2nd half was more of the same, more clear cut chances for the Tornadoes but you got the feeling it was going to be one of those days. Salford took the lead mid way through the half on a rare attack, and despite us gambling and pushing further bodies forward we continued to miss sitters, constantly shooting wide or right at the keeper. Full time a 1-0 defeat in a game we really should have won convincingly.
The positives to take from the game were the amount of clear cut chances we created, well into double figures, probably the most this season. We also looked really solid at the back. But we clearly have to work on our finishing which was not up to standard today from many members of the team.
We can still progress in the cup but will need to win our last 2 games now to have any chance.
Player of the Match today by a country mile was Jack Costello, He was quick, strong, calm and assured in our defence, nothing got past him today, even the Salford manager highlighted to me at the end how impressed he was with him. Well done Jack.
Unlucky team, we're all off to practice our shooting, and will go again next week!
