*The Under 12's TORNADOES (9v9) remained favourites for winning the Salford and District Junior League Division 1 title following an emphatic victory over Urmston Town Phoenix. On target with the goals for the Tornadoes were Max Blood, Lucio Riva, Zack MacKinnon, Daniel Badewa and Luke Bennett. Goal assists came via Zack, Luke, Lucio and Max.
*Suffering a rare defeat were the Under 10's STORM who were in action in the Red Group against Old Trafford Juniors. Kade Doyle scored Storm's consolation goal thanks to an assist by Oscar Pugh. Beechy's other players involved in the game were Seth Barber, Alfie Heighway, Harry Heathcote-Clare, Jacob Foster, Oscar Berry, Harry Chambers, Isaac Hargreaves and George Savage.
*In the Manchester Youth Super League the Under 10's THUNDER played their first game of 2025 when they met Cheshire Sport Lions at the Central Venue. Following some excellent attacking football in this Division 2 fixture Thunder took a two goal lead and creating several more chances Beechy should have increased their lead in the first half. It was a different story in the second half because Cheshire Sports fought back and won the game after Thunder couldn't maintain their grip on the contest. On target with the goals for Beechy were Sonny Phillips, Sunay Shanahan and Sam Nicholls.
*Player of the Match Amit Eltomseneen, Brayden Gilligan and Ronnie Sangster were the goalscorers for the Under 8's TORNADOES in their home game with Flixton Junior Lions. The Tornadoes played some superb football in this Yellow Group game and were rewarded with a thoroughly deserved victory.
*Making it three wins on the trot were Beechy Under 16's HURRICANES who's opponents were Kingsway Athletic and with the teams fairly evenly matched a close game was expected. In the Salford and Districts Junior League the Hurricanes took the lead in this Division 1 fixture through Owen Hogben following a free kick. Midway through the first half Beechy doubled their lead thanks to a brilliant goal scored by Henry Errington. Hurricanes keeper Max Gill-Williams made a great save to preserve Beechy's two goal advantage at the break and the Hurricanes knew there was more work to do in the second half if they were going to secure all three points. Man of the Match Alfie Rostron guaranteed Beechy their victory when he made it 3-0 following an assist from Rafael Djacy.
*Back in action in the East Manchester Junior League were the Under 16's THUNDER who had a Sunday away game with Oldham Community Panthers. The hosts opened the scoring in this Division 3 fixture when Beechy's defence failed to deal with a long ball booted forward. Thunder responded well as they battled their way back into the game and Beechy equalised when JJLowery lobbed the ball over the Oldham keeper from the edge of the area. Following a cross from the left wing the home side went 2-1 up though the Panthers goalscorer appeared to be in an offside position before he tapped the ball into the net. The Panthers extended their lead when their long ball tactic was rewarded again and despite an even first half Thunder had another testing forty minutes ahead of them. A bullet header from six yards added the Panthers fourth goal before Thunder produced a superb fightback. Rudolf Yeboah worked hard to win possession and he released Rafael Djacy down the left wing and his pass set-up JJLowery for another sublime finish. Two minutes later Rafael Djacy powered his way down the left wing and he netted Beechy's third goal when he hammered the ball beyond the keeper into the bottom corner of the net. Rangers lost a player due to a red card incident and Thunder's fightback continued and following a goalmouth melee Rafael Djacy was on target again when he made it 4-4. Against the run of play Oldham Community ruined Beechy's hopes of snatching the three points when they grabbed a late match winning goal. Result Oldham Community 5 v Beechy Thunder 4.
