Storm's first league game in the New Year provided a goal bonanza - having conceded four goals against JBAS in the first game between the teams Beechy knew they would be in for a good attacking game.
With a depleted squad due to illness and absentees Beechy lined up with Vincent in goal, Fred and league debutant Reggie in defence with Henry and Alfie in an unfamiliar wing position.
Tight at first with Beechy possibly shading - Alfie first coming close to netting a corner and Henry getting the ball on the left and flashing wide.
JBAS hit back - indecision in Beechy's defence with JBAS twice hitting the post & also a number of shots being well saved by Vincent.
Captain Fred pushed into midfield with Alfie now dropping back started to take the game by the scruff of its neck. Taking the ball from a kick in and lacing it into the bottom right. His second wasn’t too far away as a good piece of play with Alf's kick in finding Henry who curled it first time to Fred cutting the defence open, Fred finishing coolly to the keepers left.
Beechy close to a third as Reggie made a powerful run from his own kick in beating a couple of players and having his shot deflected wide.
JBAS did hit back before the end of the half - poor clearances gave the opposition the chance who made no mistake this time.
Second half with starting with Caleb now fully warmed up & Henry firing bout started to take the ball on with some great dribbling on show though more often than not JBAS were on top of them. However, Caleb showing he was the sharpest on the pitch dispossessed the defender and placed it past to take the score to three.
Beechy started to sit back and looking all at sea - Vincent was called to make a couple of big saves though the pressure told. One of their strikers drifting to the left and unmarked finished well past the Beechy goalie which was rapidly followed up with a sublime free kick to even the contest.
Fred returning to the pitch to steady the ship picked out a marauding run from Reggie who came close in the first half and made no mistake with a left footed shot past the goalkeeper. Henry got in on the action with a sneaky tap from a kick in not noticed and swung the ball into the left corner.
If Beechy thought they were done and dusted here they were wrong. An unfortunate own goal from a corner and a superb finish from their striker who was on fire levelled the score.
Once again the team looked to Caleb who won the ball, this time on the left and finished well, placing the ball in the bottom right with his instep to take Beechy back in front only for them again to be pegged back shortly after. Again defensively Beechy looking brittle left a JBAS player unmarked on the edge of the box who steamed it into the back of the net.
As the fans heckled for extra time - cometh the lad who ensured there wasn’t any.
Following a nervy shot wide Alf played to Reggie who produced the pass of the match cutting the JBAS defence in half and finding Caleb who finished expertly for his hat trick on the whistle sealing the win for Beechfield.

Special mentions to Fred who bossed the first half getting a brace and an assist in the second, Reggie who played well and showed his resilience to come back from an OG & set up the winner as well as a goal though MOTM goes to *Caleb* - usually the creator though he was the marksman today - stepped up in important moments and ended up being the difference maker.
