*Making it five games unbeaten were Beechy Under 8's TORNADOES who's dynamic display in the away game at Swinton Tigers guaranteed their place in the Supplementary Tournament final. Goals for the Tornadoes in this high scoring cup tie were Billy Boyd, Brayden Gilligan, Ronnie Sangster and Arlo NcFarlane.
*In a vital decider to guaranteed a final spot Beechy Under 9's THUNDER met Salford Storm Tornadoes. The teams have produced several previous battles in games earlier this season so Beechy were expecting another tough contest. But on this occasion Thunder were dominant from the first whistle and the goals soon began to flow. Chase Sixsmith opened the scoring with a great poachers finish then Harrison Spencer scored the next two goals when he rifled in shots from the right wing. Beechy added a fourth goal via Tiffany Kandemiri before Salford Storm reduced the arrears prior to half time. Early in the second half Thunder faced a period of added pressure and Salford Storm got their second goal when the ball was scrambled into the net following a corner. But Beechy were soon back in control and Chase Sixsmith netted his second goal of the game followed by Tiffany Kandemiri's second goal and Thunder's number six. Oscar Spencer completed the scoring with an intelligent finish as he chested the ball home when instinct would have been to head the ball. Following the game Thunder Team Manager Chris Kelly said he was really proud that the full squad had made an impact during this cup competition. Harry Wright was awarded Player of the Match for his superb defending that helped Beechy secure the win.
*Producing a spectacular performance were the Under 8's STORM who booked their place in the final following their away game with Stretford Victoria. (See separate Match Report)
*Back in action in the Salford and Districts Junior League were the Under 7's THUNDER who had a home game against AFC Urmston Meadowside Rovers. Making a strong start Thunder produced some solid defending from Gideon James and great goalkeeping from Raurie Brassington and their rewards instantly paid off from Beechy's front three, Ronnie Green and Roman Ashworth setting-up the opening goal for Aldo Gannon who added a calm finish. Thunder continued to pile on the pressure and both Romnnie and Roman had chances to get on the scoresheet hile Gideon made several great forward runs into the visitors box. Unfortunately Beechy conceded a penalty and AFC Urmston equalised but Thunder's players worked tirelessly while trying to regain the lead. Jesse Fletcher and Freddie tipton became more involved in the game as they made an instant impact putting in strong tackles and creating chances for the team again. The boggy pitch hanicapped the players but the Beechy Boys kept going in a effort to secure the victory. Ronnie, Aldo and Roman were denied goals by an in-form AFC Urmston goalkeeper and it was the visitors who netted two quick goals and win the game. Trophy winners were Gideon James, Aldo Gannon and Freddie Tipton who was making his debut for the club.
*Beechy Under 10's THUNDER were in action in a cup game in the Manchester Youth Super League when they met Prestwich All Stars. Sonny Phillips, Samuel Nicholls, Henry Jones and Harley Cossgrove-Newby scored the goals for Thunder who's top-class all-round display was rewarded with a fully deserved victory.
* There was first clean sheet of the season for the Under 9's STORM following their Yellow Group game against Deans Youth Lions. In the Salford and Districts Junior League Storm who had home advantage produced a great performance that earned the Beechy Boys a valid win. Lucas Jones with a hat trick and Charlie Schofield were on target with the goals for Storm.
*Playing their third Supplementary Tournament fixture were the Under 10's STORM who's opponents were Old Trafford Juniors. Producing a well organised performance Beechy were able to secure a stylish victory. Squad for the game was Seth Barber, Alfie Heighway, Bobby Lowe, Kade Doyle, Harry Heathcote-Clare, Jacob Foster, Oscar Pugh, Oscar Berry, Harry Chambers, Isaac Hargreaves and George Savage. Team award winners voted for by the Manager, Coach and Parents were Oscar P, Harry C and Isaac and goals for Storm came via Bobby and Seth. Storm are now involved in a 3 way play-off to decide who makes progress in the competition.
*The Under 12's TORNADOES (9v9) had to deal with a penalty shoot-out following their Supplementary Tournament tie with Salford Storm Devils and after thirty minutes each way the teams shared a 3-3 scoreline. Goals in normal time for the Tornadoes were scored by Lucio Riva, Kian Murphy and Luke Bennett while assists for the goals came from Daniel Badewa, Luke Bennett and Tyley Ackernley. Salford United Devils won the penalty kick decider.
*Following a tense penalty shoot-out the Under 16's HURRICANES lost their Supplementary Cup group game against Kingsway Athletic. The first half of the game was fairly evenly balanced and as both keepers were rarely involved it was no real surprise that it was 0-0 at half time. Against the run of play Kingsway Athletic took the lead as the action in this highly competitive contest switched rapidly from end to end. Kingsway Athelic's keeper saved a penalty taken by Djacy but the ball broke loose and during a goalmouth scramble Owen Hogben got the vital last touch as he slotted the ball into the net for 1-1. The Hurricanes kept the pressure on their opponents and Kingsway Athletic reverted to using the long ball tactic that resulted in Beechy keeper Max Gill-Williams having his busiest period in the game. Neither side could find a match winning goal in normal time and with extra time not included in the competition rules the teams were faced with the dreaded penalty kick decider. Kingsway Atheletic were winners of the shoot-out 9-8.
