**BEECHFIELD U8's STORM v Moorside Blues (Cup Semi-Final)
Beechfield Storm booked their place in the cup final in emphatic style with a sensational 10–2 victory away at Moorside Blues — despite starting with just five players and no substitutes against a squad of seven with two rolling subs.
From the very first whistle, Storm showed heart, intensity and togetherness. They refused to be intimidated and set the tone immediately.
⚽ Ollie Leads the Charge
Ollie was electric from the outset, firing in a rapid hat-trick to put Storm firmly in control. He didn’t stop there, going on to score five in total in a relentless attacking display that left the opposition chasing shadows.
🎯 Archie the Engine
Archie was everywhere — pressing high, linking play beautifully and showing real composure in possession. His work rate paid off with a superb hat-trick, capping off a performance full of intelligent passing and relentless energy.
🧱 Jax the Rock
At the back, Jax was immense. Calm under pressure and fearless in the tackle, he stood strong against a physical Moorside side. To top off his defensive masterclass, he unleashed an absolute screamer that flew into the net.
✨ Louie’s Magic
Louie brought strength and skill in equal measure. He battled hard all game and produced some excellent footwork before finishing brilliantly for a well-earned goal.
🧤 Daly Stands Tall
On a small pitch with shots constantly raining in, Daly was outstanding. He pulled off a string of brilliant saves, conceded just twice, and distributed the ball superbly to launch Storm attacks. A composed and confident display under pressure.
Moorside tried to use their physical advantage and worked hard to unsettle the Storm players, but the lads showed incredible maturity and focus. They stuck together, battled fv()or every ball, and let their football do the talking.
There were early nerves on the touchline, with Coach Lester visibly tense before kick-off — but his team answered every question in style, proving exactly what they are capable of.
A phenomenal team performance.

**Beechfield UTD U/11's STORM v Tiki Taka U/11's
Celebrating a well deserved victory were Beechy U/11's Storm (9v9) who had a friendly match with Tiki Taka. The match produced a total of eleven goals and Storm's goalscoring touch was the key element to their nine goal success. Beechy's squad for the game was Alfie Heighway, Harry Chambers, Jacob Foster, Zaid Yasser, Henry Richardson, Carter Lowe, Bobby Lowe, Oscar Berry and Albie Warne who was making his debut. On target with the goals for Storm were Albie (4) Bobby (2) Alfie, Henry and Carter. Sharing the Man of the Match award were Bobby and Albie.

“The game that nearly didn’t happen” Massive thanks to @Ruari Tobin for making this one happen this weekend! The Tornadoes were raring to go after last weeks game was called off due to poor weather. Fantastic effort from all the lads, a fast start with excellent pressure from the whistle. So much desire to keep the goals flowing when it would have been easy to let off. A real show of our ability today punishing the other team relentlessly. With our starting striker away on holiday the team stepped up and found goals from all over the pitch!
🏆 MOTM for Oscar for his tireless work rate and leading the scoring with 4 great goals.
🏆MOTM for Adam in his debut game for a fantastic goal and great positive work on and off the ball, could have scored more!
**BEECHFIELD UTD U9's LIGHTNING v Manchester South End U9's
A dull LS Lowry style morning down at Ambrose, following a bad run, the loss of our top striker, sickness and lack of games, the Lightning boys bounced back with an excellent footballing performance almost painting the perfect picture! The extra effort in training sessions finally showed with the boys passing out from the back all over the park, creating space and so many chances. The time and space made in front of goal should have produced a bag full of goals and the loss of our top striker showed. Bobby pulled off some fine saves showing bravery, his distribution and calmness was fantastic. Angelo the dancing prince showed his fitness and speed, able to get back and cover with some fantastically timed tackling and showing an improvement on distribution. Bodie, captain for the day pulled off a Man of the Match performance, tackling, distribution, attacking and that winning mentality that they so needed to pick them up. Brayden, the best striker of the ball in the leagues was as impressive as always and so unlucky not to score, his shots being almost too good, skimming the bar and post from distance! Finley got to show off his superb footballing abilities, tackling and distributing the ball all over the field and couldn’t have done more to provide the attackers chance after chance to win the game. Ralph got himself in to some great positions and was unlucky not to score, a bad high knee challenge took him out for a while but he was brave enough to come back on. Lucas our new signing showed cool composure at the back, looking up and finding his passes with tackles also timed to perfection. Rapid Ronnie got himself in to the best positions showing his strength, speed and skill and managed to bag a goal he so deserved. Elliot, back on form and enjoying himself ran rings around some rapid kids and got on the scoresheet with a superb effort, some excellent vision and pace, on another day he also would have had 4 or 5, all the hard work being done. The lads came off looking more like a team again and throughly enjoyed it even with a couple of bad knocks. Disappointing not to have a win with so many chances on goal but heading in the right direction again, more importantly enjoying themselves 👌👏⚽️

Moorside Rangers Green v BEECHFIELD UTD THUNDER U'8's
Six games unbeaten in all competitions for Thunder in a emphatic performance against a spirited Moorside team who didn't give up all match, Goalscorers for Thunder Roman Ashworth hat trick, Parker Haworth, Aldo Gannon and Gideon James on the scoresheet for Thunder and a own goal from the home side making the final score 7-0 scrappy in parts with all the changes and not having a game for two weeks but plenty of positives the movement off the ball the attack also the work ethic in abundance today and another clean sheet two on the bounce, the whole team today collected the Player of the Match award throughly deserved 👏

Another game, same outcome !!
We have been just on the wrong side of results this season and this game was a prime example.
In terms of play and chances created we should have ran out comfortable winners but we give the opposition to much respect at important times of the game.
Anyway, we scored two great goals, one of which was a goal of the season contender from Riley Hancock, a 25 yard rocket into the top corner !!
This capped off his MOTM performance.
I was proud of the boys today, were getting closer !!

🏆 A TOUGH LESSON – MOMENTS OF QUALITY IN A CHALLENGING GAME
🎙️ Match Commentary
It was a difficult game today, but one that started on fairly even terms. Both teams created early opportunities, showing attacking intent from the first whistle.
After several minutes of balanced play, Salford Storm capitalised on a ball recovery and struck from distance to open the scoring. Beechfield responded well. A pass into Kevin allowed him to showcase his skill and composure, finishing confidently to level the match at 1–1.
Salford regained control with two well-taken goals to move back in front. However, Beechfield found a way back again through our newest winter signing, Julio. From a throw-in aimed into the opposition box, the ball deflected off a Salford defender and found its way into the net, giving Julio his goal and bringing the score closer at 3–2.
The second half proved much more challenging. Changes in the lineup disrupted the rhythm and continuity the team had built, and Salford took full advantage, scoring seven goals in a short spell.
After further adjustments and adding an extra player onto the pitch, the momentum shifted slightly, slowing Salford’s attacking run. Then came a bright moment — the ever-alert Alvin capitalised on the opposing goalkeeper’s exit, recovered the ball, and with great composure and finesse placed it into the net to confirm the final score of 3–10.
Despite the result, there were important performances and continued effort throughout the match.
🏅 Man of the Match
This week’s award goes to Julio. A fantastic addition to the team, he worked tirelessly in ball recovery and distribution during his time on the pitch and crowned his performance with a well-earned goal.
👨👩👦 Parent Player of the Match
Also awarded to Julio, fully deserved. His work rate, composure on the ball, and positive impact in both defence and attack showed he is quickly becoming a valuable part of the squad.
