**Old Trafford Aces 3 - 4 BEECHFIELD UTD STORM U9**

A heavily depleted Storm team came up against a familiar foe in the OT Aces and in the mud ground out a victory.
Vincent started in net, Reggie and George at the back, josh and Nathan in midfield with Jacob behind Alfie up top.
Old Trafford were looking the more dangerous attacks flooding forward though the defence and midfield holding strong - a pot shot clipping the crossbar - Alfie upfront was bulling about winning the ball up high, taking a few shots and getting some joy though with Storm pended back the majority of the time an Old Trafford goal became inevitable - a shot towards goal with Vincent unsighted found its way into the net.
With scoreline at 1-0 credit goes to Vincent who made a number of brilliant saves, left, right and to keep the score down.
Storm changed formation and tact with Yusha & Imad taking the field to have an almost immediate reaction - Yusha starting an attack through to Josh, again on to Imad who flashed wide.
The tide had turned and Imad winning the ball from a back pass, goal keeper holding on to him and following a lengthy VAR check the ref gave a penalty which Imad expertly dispatched.
Bouyed Storm returned with a brilliant counter attack - josh holding a player up int he right corner, Reggie coming in to win it and then releasing Josh who powered on down the left wing, slid through Imad who finished smoothly into the bottom left.
As Old Trafford looked for a response Alfie now in goal made an incredible point blank range save and a clearance off the goal line somehow kept Storm in the lead.
Nathan collected the ball on the right and again turned into a prime winger crossing in and finding Josh in the box who poked it into the back of the net.
Storm thinking it was going to be easy in the second half was mistaken - flying wingers and attacks flooding in George and Reggie were defending for their lives with a couple of unbelievable saves from Alfie, picking one out of the top corner and an acrobatic close shot clawed away by Nathan at the back.
The goal came as their strikers took a well worked corner, pushed it into the middle with a shot in goal making it past Alfie in net.
Storm did respond with some fantastic work from Imad on the right curling a sumptuous ball in to Jacob who flashed wide.
As Old Trafford piled on pressure it was George who turned prime Pirlo cutting the defence with a beautiful through ball to Imad who finished for his hattrick.
In this seesaw of a game OT undeterred continued to push & a mistake at the back led to them getting back into it… shortly after it could have been an equaliser until Vincent made an incredible low save tipping the ball around the post.
The Tony Pulis era rung true as Storm had George, Reggie & Yusha all on defending for their lives while combinations of Alfie, Nathan and Jacob were still providing Storm with chances. However - the game finished on the side of storm in thrilling encounter! A brilliant dogged performance from Storm who were missing a number of their main attackers today but came out with the victory.
MOTM:
Got to be a call out for the magic man Imad who scored a hattrick though the second in two week MOTM goes to *Josh* who simply ran himself into the ground, got the captains armband and showed ultimate leadership skills, came out with a goal and an assist.

Storm are lucky to have not one but two brilliant goal keepers - both *Vincent* and *Alfie* more than played their part in the win by make multiple fantastic saves today, close range, acrobatic, distance - had it all and both had fantastic distribution.
**Beechy Under 9's TORNADOES went into their Salford and Districts League Yellow Group away game with Winton Devils in good form after winning three of their previous games. An out of character slow start quickly gave the Devils a four goal lead but the Tornadoes dug deep and clawed back two goals. An excellent individual goal from Arlo then a fantastic team move that ended with a superb assist from Oscar that set-up Cormac who added a great finish for the second goal. There was a Man of the Match performance from Ezra who was pushed upfield in the second half and his energy inspired the whole team to carry on the fight prompting a panicked response from the Devils coaches. The Tornadoes squad was Cormac, Leo, Ezra, Amir, Ellis, Oscar, Alro, Ralph and Jayden.
**In their Bolton Bury and District League Green Division away fixture against Aspull Thunder the Under 11's STORM (9v9) struggled to create enough chances. With key players missing due to injury this proved to be a difficult game for the Beechy Boys who went down to a narrow defeat. Storm's squad was George, Dexter, Oscar B, Jacob, Carter, Harry, Bobby, Henry, Zaid. Man of the Match was Jacob.
**A friendly match at home was arranged with Ramsbottom United for the Under 13's TORNADOES. This was a game of two halves for Beechy against their opponents from the North Bury League Championship Division. The Tornadoes were class and dominant in the first half as they kept possession really well plus creating a few decent chances. A goal by Max Blood via an assist from Tom gave Beechy the lead and the Tornadoes had the opportunity to go 2-0 up just before half time. After the break Beechy's play became scrappy as they gave the ball away far too easily and this allowed Ramsbottom United back into the game. The visitors weren't a great side who just went long ball straight from their keeper and Ramsbottom scored two goals to win the contest. Beechy's players must realise that games are not won at half time.
