BEECHFIELD U/8's THUNDER 7 v Moorside Rangers Blue 2
Thunder took the derby win in a emphatic performance, the squad was stretched with Injuries and illness this week but a match where the coaches had no complaints with effort and work rate from minute one to minute 40 plenty of changes throughout the team and some players playing out of position but as a squad the last 12 months have been a breath of fresh air to coach these boys.
Goalscorers for Thunder where Ronnie Green with a fantastic hatrick playing on the left and was a nuisance all game with his passing and could have had a couple more on the day A Captains performance from Aldo Gannon two goals not only was his goals important today but stepped up with his leadership and his dominance in attack Parker Haworth who played through the pain barrier with a foot injury in defence and getting probably his second goal of the season with a free kick just inside the Moorside half giving the keeper no chance. Player of the Match Freddie Tipton got Thunders final goal and in typical Freddie fashion his tenacity to win balls and get into the right positions throughout the whole match was testament from a player who never gives up. Raurie Brassington in goal started a lot of Thunder attacks and made some huge saves all game Coaches player of the match George Lawson played in defence and attack and was so unlucky not to score today and proved with his defence nothing got past him and taking on defenders in attack a great result and a great performance from the Thunder Boys who are making things really difficult for teams to break them down, a special mention and a speedy recovery to Roman Ashworth who unfortunately broke his arm this week and will be out for 4-6 weeks.

First Half
The Tornadoes made a strong start with Franklin opening the scoring.
Theo made a good save in net early on, while Blackfriars’ keeper was kept busy.
Zane was outstanding with his energy and battling, constantly pressuring the opposition, winning the ball back and stopping attacks before they could develop.
There was also good teamwork between Gianluca and Franklin, while Noah made a positive run forward.
Eric caused problems in attack, forcing saves before scoring. Blackfriars pulled a goal back, but Tornadoes stayed on top. Gianluca set up Eric for another goal and Eric completed a hat-trick before the break.
Second Half
Rocco added to the score early in the second half.
Theo had an excellent half, scoring several goals and showing great footwork, as well as setting up Eric for another. Franklin made a solid save when needed and the team continued to create chances. Blackfriars scored twice, but Theo produced a strong solo run to score and Noah later assisted him for another goal.
Overall, a really good team performance with strong attacking play and good teamwork. The effort and attitude were excellent throughout. 👏🏻

Back at home after several months away, the team returned to their pitch for a match that turned into a tale of two completely different halves.
With a reduced squad, the starting lineup featured Jude in goal, William and Caspian in defence, and Samuel alongside Alvin in attack.
The match couldn’t have started better. From kickoff, Beechfield controlled possession, and Samuel wasted no time — dribbling past defenders and scoring immediately to give the team an early lead.
Swinton responded quickly with two goals, however, Beechfield reacted brilliantly. A clearance from Caspian found Samuel, who drove forward and finished to make it 2–2.
The momentum continued as Samuel completed his hat-trick after recovering a pass from Alvin and finishing clinically. Swinton equalised again shortly after, but Beechfield regained the lead through a great move starting from Jude, whose pass found Alvin. Alvin dribbled past defenders and scored an excellent goal.
The back-and-forth continued — Swinton equalised once more, and then Samuel, assisted again by Alvin, put Beechfield ahead for the fifth time. Just before half-time, Swinton managed to level the match again, ending an incredible first half at 5–5.
The second half was a completely different story. Swinton came out strong and scored five consecutive goals, catching Beechfield off guard and taking full control of the game.
Despite the difficult stretch, Samuel produced another moment of quality from a kick-in, beating two defenders and striking powerfully into the top corner to add Beechfield’s sixth.
Swinton added another goal, but Alvin responded with a brilliant individual effort to score Beechfield’s seventh. However, in the final minutes, Swinton extended their lead further, including a goal from the penalty spot, sealing the match.
The first half showed a very competitive and balanced game with chances for both sides, but the second half proved challenging. Still, it was a valuable performance against a strong opponent, many of whose players are involved in academy-level football.

Samuel — Led the team from the front with energy and determination, constantly driving attacks and making the difference in key moments. A true leader performance on the pitch.

After a week off over easter the whole squad were raring to go, all present & early for a full pre-game warm up before our first league match against Parkwyddn. The first half was a stalemate with chances both ends a real healthy battle between two sets of hearty kids Beechfield being denied a few times by great saves by the Parkwyddn keeper. The second half was more of the same with both sides pushing players forward to try and break the deadlock. The game was decided late on by a good move by Parkwyddn. Even though this game was lost the mood after was positive as it could have gone either way easily. All coaches/parents commenting on the superb attitudes of the whole team.
MOTM: Amir, for showing a different side to his play with unselfish passes and chance making crossing.
**BEECHFIELD UTD U/11's THUNDER v Prestwich United
In the Manchester Youth Super League a top-class performance by Beechy Under 11's Thunder (9v9) secured a 7-3 victory over Prestwich United. At the league's central venue every player created a harworking display as the team served up some great football especially in the first half. Thunder's goals came via Edan Telford (3) Harvey Cosgrove-Newby (2) Sonny Phillips (2) and Deo WaiWai. Man of the Match went to Logan Moore and Mackeon Thomas-Browne and Deacon Holden ( half goalkeepers) who both kept a clean sheet.
**Playing on Friday evening in the Salford and Districts League were the Under 16's TORNADOES who had a Division 1 away game against Manchester Bees. Finn Browne from the penalty spot scored a consolation goal for the Tornadoes who suffered a 5-1 defeat.
