**On the last Saturday of February 2026 the U/18's Hurricanes were in acton away against Old Boltonians who had secured a 1-0 win following the previous game between the teams. Beechy's tactic for this game was to impose themselves on Old Boltonians and the boys adapted well on the day. Early in this Section A game the Tornadoes were camped in their opponents half as they probed for goalscoring openings. The breakthrough came when an effort by Seth Carroll was saved by the hosts keeper but Paul Connelly netted the rebound as he gave Beechy the lead. Credit to Old Boltonians who did create a few chances mainly through individual mistakes by Tornadoes players and this forced several superb saves from Beechy keeper Alfie Girdlestone. In the second half the Tornadoes continued to control the game as they produced more excellent football though some wayward shooting was on view at times. Eventually Beechy went 2-0 up through Nahom Berhane who finished with a well placed volley into bottom of the net. The Tornadoes were able to see out the game and earn a long overdue clean sheet. Receiving special mentions were Paul Connelly for his magic and running with the ball, Tanatswa Chirwa who despite playing his first game in a long time produced some calm and efficient defending. Sharing the Man of the Match award were Alfie Gridlestone and Ausou Eltomseneen who was in fine form shutting down the Old Boltonians most dangerous attacker, outpacing and out muscling him in an immense display.
**After an attempt to organise a league fixture Hurricanes Manager Kennedy Chirwa set-up a friendly match with De La Salle. On the Astroturf Pitch at St Ambrose Barlow School Beechy who looked well organised throughout the game went 2-0 up thanks to goals from Ethan Mangwiro and Oliver Sheridan. De La Salle produced a spirited response and managed to get a goal back late in the first half. Soon after the restart the Hurricanes had numerous good chances before Ethan Mangwiro supplied a styish finish to give Beechy a 3-1 lead. The action remained highly entertaining and a fourth Hurricanes goal scored by Kane Wood guaranteed the Beechy Boys their desered 4-1 victory. Hurricanes squad was: Ethan, Kane, Luke, Enoch, Seth, Oliver, Michael, Mason, Liam, Alfie, Aiden, Ausou, Nahom and Paul. (28/3/2026)
