Saturday 18th November, Beech Farm, KO 12pm, Challenge Cup.

This was a tough ask for the Tornadoes. Up against a team from the first division, without our regular goalkeeper, was always going to be difficult. And so it proved to be, as we struggled to keep possession and carve out too many meaningful chances.

How we've been put in to this Challenge Cup group is beyond comprehension. However, we must plough on and do our best.

A lot of praise then to all the boys, as they didn't let their heads drop. Once again, Jack and Flinn put on a great display in nets, taking a half each. Both were equally impressive outfield too.

George and Stewart, were sterling in defence and both were full of running. Logan, Dylan, Alfie and Daire all worked hard and competed manfully.

The only slight criticism that I would have of all the boys is that, once again, they fell in to the trap of all chasing the ball. Once this happens we obviously lose our shape and leave ourselves wide open. Richard and I will, of course, continue to attempt to address this issue in training and during team talks.

MOTM went to Jack for his battling will and determination to keep playing.
