Saturday 6th May, Hey's Road, KO 9am, League.

This really was 'one of those games'!

Flinn Rogers got the boys off to a tremendous start when he converted an early chance. Sadly though, our good fortune was to end there when Prestwich equalised and then took the lead going in to the half time break. Two shots for them lead to two goals.
In contrast, despite having the bulk of possession, and most of the chances, our lads couldn't put the ball in to the net.

In the second half, there was a sense of desperation about us as Prestwich added, early on, to their tally.
And once again, despite boasting most of the play and the opportunities created, the Tornadoes just couldn't make it count. Although we did at times pass the ball really well, we also panicked too often and rushed things. On many occasions we bunched up and pushed too many players forward, or too many players went for the same ball.

No doubt about it, on another day, this would have been a comfortable victory for the Tornadoes but the sense of urgency, especially in the second period, ultimately knocked us off our stride. And the more we tried, the more desperate and disjointed the team became.

In conclusion it was just one of those days that Football throws at you from time to time and all we can do is try and learn from the experience.

MOTM went to Dylan for some good passing.

Oscar.
