11am kick off

Thunder played their first home game of the season against Moston tigers blacks.

Beechy stated the stronger and put pressure on Moston who defended well. Beechy missed numerous chances to take the lead in the first 15. They eventually scored off a corner which was headed goal-wards by prince idusuyi, which deflected off Liam Cremins and went in. Moston hit back but Beechy re-took the lead via Jake glass. Moston levelled it up just before HT.

Both teams started where they left off and it was soon 3-3 Jacob Lacey scoring Beechys which was a well taken goal.

With 15 minutes to go Moston stepped up a gear while Beechys concentration levels were poor.

Moston got another 4 without reply.

Message to players

I need 100% commitment from all not just the few. I saw signs today of players not committed to the cause, this was even before we took to the field of play. This has to change if we want to be successful on the pitch.

We have the ability but we have to start playing as a team again. We can't carry any players who are not fully committed to the team.

3-7 defeat
