Where parents thought today would be the start of the cold season, it turned into a warm Sunday morning watching a great game of football. The first half was full of action with a great goal from Jack who took advantage of a well delivered corner. The team were full of running, making it difficult for the opposing side to take advantage, with a good attempt on goal from Bradley and Adam continuously pushing hard down the wing this provided further opportunities for goals. The second goal came from Oliver with a cracking shot from just outside the area shortly followed by another super goal from Charlie. Just before half time the opposition sneaked a goal against the run of play, however, the Tornadoes pushed back giving Theo a great chance to a goal, which was unfortunately disallowed for offside!

With a spritely start to the second half, picking up where we left off, Bradley had an attempt at an overhead kick right on goal, which was well defended and unfortunately didn’t hit the back of the net, however, after a great team effort Bradley was able to get his second goal of the match. With a further corner, Charlie scored a great second goal and then shortly after some precise passing from Oliver and Adam, it was Adam who crossed it in for Charlie to finish off his hat trick. Harley, Luke and Raphael remained strong in defence, taking every opportunity to win the ball back and occasionally venture forward to have their own chances at increasing the score line.

Whilst Lewis had limited action in goal, he did make his presence known bossing his defence with his usual conviction (and noise!!). All players made a strong contribution as usual with a number of contenders for Man of the Match, however, with Adam named as Captain he gave a Captain’s performance, which was rewarded with a goal just before the final whistle and led to him earning the Man of the Match award. Well done boys another great game.
