Fives athletic v Beechfield Thunder

October 31st 2015

10.30 kick off

Beechy Thunder were away to fives athletic in the final 1st round group game of the challenge cup.

This was s tense game fives were the better team to start and deserved to be 2 goals up within 15 minutes. Beechy rolled up there sleeves and started to get some momentum going and after a slight tactical change, prince idusuyi opened the scoring for Beechy. Fives hit back not long after but Ishor badgai got his first goal for Thunder from a high ball put into the box. Samuel Oludoyi levelled the score just before HT.

Fives came out strong in the second half and scored a great headed goal from a corner they also went close a few minutes later.

Harvey walker was composed in front of net and got Beechy back in the game on two occasions and With 10 minutes to go a great kick from the Beechy keeper got through to captain Jake osullivan who finished it nicely to put Beechy in the lead for the first time in the game.

Beechy were stopped from finishing the game off due to some great saves by the fives keeper. Fives were kept out for the remainder of the game and Beechy make their way into the next round of the cup with 3 wins out of 3.
