So first game of the season and a good test for us against a team who we always seem to have good close matches against.

A good start by both teams, but beechy got the edge. A free kick awarded outside the area which after a retake was powered in to the top corner by Zane. Closely followed by a very neat finish from David. 2-0 up inside 15 mins looked promising but Boothstown were looking dangerous and started to take control of the game. Before long they had scored a couple of quick goals then added 2 more. David got another one back for Beechy with another quality finish. But for some great goalkeeping from Woody the scoreline could of been a lot worse. As it was we went in at half time trailing 3-4.

2nd half was a lot tighter, but maybe that was down to both keepers having great games. 2 goals from Boothstown and another from the impressive David to get his deserved hat-trick gave us a defeat of 4-6.

Dissapointing result to start with but some good signs and decent football. Saying that we know we can play a lot better.
Good performances from Woody and David and probably Leo's best game since he joined.

Another hard game next Sunday against South Manchester who gave us a bit of a lesson in our first 9v9 friendly..
