POSTED: May 08 2017 13:18:13. By Phil Hesketh - Typhoon 3-2 De La Salle Red

I can’t say that Typhoon were on great form this Saturday but a battling performance was enough to see off DLS Red. We probably shaded the first half but went behind to a belter that left Peter with no chance. Harry levelled it up with his second of the season and I expected us to go on and dominate them. However, DLS went back ahead with a somewhat fortuitous goal. I’m not sure exactly what happened but I think Peter made a good save but the ball bounced back and ricocheted into the net off a defender. Whatever, this put the opposition in good spirits and led to an end to end match. We missed quite a few chances, unfortunately including one for Harley that would have been his first of the season but a brace by Jamie, including a deft flick, was enough to win the game.
Some of the boys were playing in positions they weren’t overly accustomed to but they all battled pretty well and gave a good account of themselves. Freddie won a close call for the man of the match.
