A little revenge on Ladybridge though they are going through the cup final because they dealt with Swinton Cobras' star player better than we did.
The scoreline somewhat flatters Ladybridge as a good performance from us had us fairly comfortable winners with their keeper pulling off a lot of saves.
The passing was good, especially in the first half, with a nice change to the goal kick routine seeing a choice of passes and the ball often reaching Joseph to allow him to kick start attacks.
Jamie was in impressive form, his first goal twisting past the defence and burying a left footed shot. His second was even better, a contender for our goal of the season. Freddie and Daniel assisted in the make up for Jamie to volley home an unstoppable thunderbolt. He added an assist with a nice pass for Daniel to finish. Ful of confidence he was splitting the defence with passes for Cole and Daniel to run on to, which somehow their keeper always managed to do just enough to keep out of the net.
We did concede one just before half time and fell asleep at one point to allow three consecutive shots that Peter managed to save, bravely taking the last to the face. His teammates owe him big style for that one.
All in all a very good performance to get us back to winning ways. Jamie was the obvious candidate for man of the match.
