Pete and I emphasised the importance of a good start to the boys before kick off. So ten minutes in and three down things were not really looking very promising. However, fair play to the boys gradually they started to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. The second half score was 1-1, so well done lads, even if we rode our luck a little.
Peter made some really good saves and was back to his brave best. Milonga, Freddie and Joseph battled like Trojans, as did Jamie. Jamie just pipped the man of the match award, working ferociously for his team even as he was being pulled ever deeper. With Old Trafford pressing really high up the pitch we had several opportunities to break and score and Cole put one away, an excellent consolation for the team's hard work.
If we work as hard as this every week but use the ball a little better (and actually play the whole 50 minutes) we'll be fine.
