Tornadoes had an early kick off today in the Supplementary tournament. The game was at moor side high on a very small Astro turf pitch. There was very little room on a fast surface and this made for an exciting end to end encounter. Although Tornadoes had the best of a tight first half shots were few. Both defences worked very hard and our own Jack and Harley Kirk dealt comfortably with the moor side attack. Theo Valentine showed great strength driving relentlessly into the moor side midfield . The trickery of Beechfield forward maestros was pure genius at times between Harley and Kaiden scoring 3and 1 respectively. The first of Harley's being the pick of the bunch as he dribbled around half the moor side team before slotting in from an impossible angle. The team play and work rate from the wingers was very pleasing for the coaches as Ollie Charlie and Adam got forward and back to defend so often it looked like we outnumbered moor side. The beechy you lads were first to every ball.
Man of the match went to new keeper Lewis Wallis after showing terrific bravery and saving twice in one on ones with the moor side attackers. Think the parents enjoyed the excitement provided by both teams in what was a great spectacle to watch.
