On Saturday morning United travelled again, this time for an away fixture with Rossendale Valley and first half goals from Mason White, Kurtis Taylor and Harry Cottrill were enough to secure Beechy a 3-1 victory. The home team’s consolation goal came late in the second half.

Following their third successive victory in the Timperley and District League the Under 16’s Predators took over as leaders of Division One. Beechy Under 13’s Storm dominated the first half of their Section A home game against Adlington Hawks but had to settle for a goalless first half. Into the second period and keeping the pressure on their opponents Beechy continued to create chances galore. It took something special to break the deadlock when Mason Alker won the ball near the halfway line and after skilfully beating three players produced a first-class finish. Following more great football United led 3-0 with both goals scored by Kieran Robinson then producing a brilliant solo run Bobby Anderson netted the fourth goal when he hammered the ball into the net from the tightest of angles. Dominating their away game at South Manchester Tigers the Under 11’s Storm (9v9) held a comfortable two goal lead but the Tigers won a penalty and reduced the arrears before half time. Quickly regaining control after the break Beechy added three more goals but somehow the Storm relaxed their grip on the contest and conceded a further two goals but recovered to grab a sixth goal. Man of the Match James Cadwalader got a goal back via a header following a corner then Saul Tagoe equalised with a smart finish. Beechy took the lead through Joshua Kilfoyle but Swinton Juniors drew level before Oliver Cowley scored the Storm’s match winning goal.
