Producing another dynamic all-round display Beechfield United's 1st Team were rewarded with a fully deserved victory. At Salford Sports Village United met Manchester Gregorians and collected three valuable points after they beat their opponents 3-1. Kicking-off this Premier Division fixture with an unchanged line-up Beechy made a slow start to the match as Gregorians dominated possession in the opening eight minutes. Once United found their rhythm a mazy crossfield run by Jordan Jones-Waite almost set-up a chance for Louis Duff but the Gregorians keeper raced to the edge of the area and booted the ball upfield. Then Jamie Sinnott easily beat two Gregorians defenders and his pass onto Ethan Birds saw an effort by United's No18 win Beechy a corner. Most of Gregorians counter-attacks developed down the right wing and both Carl Ravenscroft and Luke Johnston were in good form as they defended superbly under pressure.

At the end of United's next attack Jamie Sinnott blasted the ball straight at the keeper from close range after latching onto an angled pass from Jordan Jones-Waite. But both teams looked a threat going forward though Gregorians didn't force a single save from Beechy keeper Andrew Richardson in the first twenty minutes. Another superb quick passing move between Ethan Birds, Louis Duff and Jamie Sinnott carved out a half chance for Jordan Jones-Waite who curled the ball just wide of the target. Overall play was fairly evenly balanced but Beechy faced a period of attacking pressure from the visitors before they opened the scoring on thirty six minutes via Matthew McNally who timed his run from his midfield position to receive a pass from Jamie Sinnott and fire the ball low past the keeper. Following a free kick Gregorians almost forced an equaliser when Andrew Richardson saved a header by their No6 and Gregorians No8 shot wide from the rebound.

United grabbed a 2-0 lead in the 41st minute after Jamie Sinnott's shot on target deflected off an opponent and while another Gregorians defender and their keeper hesitated before trying to win the ball Louis Duff headed into the empty net. Due to an injury Mike Rogerson was replaced at the start of the second half by Mike Phythian and Beechy were ready and fired up for another forty five minutes. But Gregorians quickly found a fluent attacking rhythm and reduced the arrears though Andrew Richardson appeared to have been impeded when he had control of the ball before it was forced into the net. This hard fought Manchester Football League fixture produced lots of good football and exciting moments and one in particular arrived when Jamie Sinnott spotted the Gregorians keeper stood on the edge of the area but his audacious long range effort hit the post. Since their goal Gregorians had found fresh impetus and rarely wasting possession continued to force United to defend deeper in their own half and Louis Duff who had taken on the role of right back and Luke Johnston made numerous crucial ball winning tackles.

Relying more on the swift counter-attack Beechy created a few decent chances and another spectacular attempt by Man of the Match Jamie Sinnott rattled the crossbar. After winning the ball on the halfway line Gregorians No9 used his strength and skill to create a goal scoring opportunity and Andrew Richardson rescued United with a brilliant save. As they upped the tempo Gregorians kept the pressure on a hard working Beechy outfit and the visitors No10 was a major influence in his teams burst of powerful attacking play in the last twenty minutes. United continually denied their opponents a second goal thanks to some valiant defending and against the run of play Beechy secured the win with their third goal in the 87th minute. A magnificent accurate long pass down the left flank from Carl Ravenscroft was controlled by Jamie Sinnott and United's No9 ghosted past a Gregorians defender then after advancing into the area produced an emphatic finish as he hammered the ball beyond the keeper.
