During the first couple of weeks in August 2010 Beechfield United's FIRST TEAM continued their build up towards the new Manchester Football League season with two friendly matches. United were in action against Eccles Sunday League outfit Weaste FC and following a lively contest lost 1-0. Tim Taylor was named as Man of the Match. Then Beechy produced an awesome display that earned them a 4-1 away win over Lancashire and Cheshire League side Bedians. Goalscorers were M-O-M Dave Leach (2) Mike Leach and Trevor Walsh. THE RESERVES also met a Bedians team but unfortunately they suffered a 2-0 defeat. The Best Player award went to Richard Farnie. United's Saturday Morning open-age team gave a classy performance at home to Redvales and Warthfold Metro. In a totally one-sided friendly Beechy who led 6-0 at half time eventually cruised to an emphatic 8-0 victory. Wes Pierce (hat-trick) Dean Quinn (2) Roy Owen, Stephen Evans and Ben Donohue got the goals while Chris Lucas had a superb game at the heart of the defence.

Pre-Season in the Mini-Soccer and Junior Section saw the UNDER 14's GIRLS beat Manchester City Ladies 4-2. Goals for Beechy came via Aimee Wallace (2) and Toni Stapleton (2) The UNDER 8's TORNADOS were involved in a Friendly Match with Barr Hill Diamonds. Kaden McCarthy, Josh Holker, Ben McAtee and M-O-M Leighton White got the goals.

On 5/9/2010 United's UNDER 11's (9v9) Sunday Team enjoyed a fabulous start in the Timperley and District Junior League. For their home game against Unicorn Athletic Whirlwinds only eight players were available but after going a goal down Beechy turned on the style and powered their way to a 10-4 victory. Taylor Share (4) Tom Battersby (3) Jack Davies, Joshua Edwards and Zach Booth scored the goals while goalkeeper Joe Parker had a great game and saved a penalty in the first half.

After travelling thirty five miles to play Chapel Town the FIRST TEAM had to settle for a 2-2 draw. In this Bridgewater Office Supplies Manchester Football League Division 1 game United who created moments of memorable football needed two goals in the last fifteen minutes. Chapel Town were gifted the opening goal and although United had the better of the early exchanges in the second half they allowed Chapel Town the luxury of taking a 2-0 lead against the run of play. But United made a couple of substitutions and this had a major effect. The Chapel Town keeper was forced to work overtime and finally Gareth Mooney got a goal back when he hammered the ball into the corner of the net from 20 yards. Then Jack Fitzgerald was on target with the equalising goal and brave defending by Chapel Town in the last five minutes robbed Beechy of a victory. UNITED'S RESERVES also drew 2-2 following their home game against Chapel Town Reserves. Despite a few personal changes United outplayed their opponents during the early stages and were disappointed when Chapel Town grabbed the lead just after the half hour. But a fine opportunist goal by James Brierley soon got Beechy back on level terms. As the second half developed there were good individual performances from Steven Griffiths, Steven Davidson and Man of the Match Dave Simmons and United took a 2-1 lead courtesy of substitute Mike Banwo in the 65th minute but Chapel Town equalised eleven minutes later. (11/9/10)

On the wrong end of an amazing 8-6 scoreline were the UNDER 14's who met Langworthy Juniors away. Man of the Match Luke Tonge (4) Jack Ryan and Remi Maxwell fired in the goals. (19/9/2010) Continuing their fine start to the season were the UNDER 9's STORM who won 6-0 away at Swinton Juniors. Man of the Match David Williams (2) Declan Nolan (2) Owen Hesketh and Isak Johanneson were on target. (6/11/10) In the SCOSSL's Challenge Cup the UNDER 11's TORNADOES comfortably defeated Moorside Rangers Green 6-1. James Bones (5) and Mason Frame got the goals. (13/11/2010) Thanks to a vastly improved display and a hat-trick from Kwaka Azad the UNDER 12's HURRICANES beat Moorside Blue 3-2. (20/11/10)

Despite the arctic weather conditions which led to nearly all other games being postponed both United's FIRST TEAM and RESERVE TEAM played on Saturday 27 th November 2011. On an artificial surface Beechy met Hollinwood FC in the Manchester Challenge Trophy and after being forced to field a weakened team United lost 5-2 in Round 2 of the competition. Both goals were scored by Dave Leach and voted Man of the Match was Steve Erskine. On the 3G Astroturf Pitch at Salford Sports Village the RESERVES who were also missing several key players conceded two early goals and trailed 3-0 at half time to Dukinfield Town. Despite an improved performance in the second half United's only joy was a consolation goal from Andrew Traverse.

Twenty four hours later M-O-M Leighton White, Nathan Brown, Harry Lee and Josh Holker were on target in the home game against Barr Hill Diamonds. Josh Strand hit a consolation goal for the UNDER 9's TORNADOES who despite a top-class display went down 3-1 to Boothstown Tigers. A 3-1 away win over Swinton Junior Yellow secured the UNDER 9's HURRICANES three more vital points which edged them closer to winning the SCOSSL Division C title. Two goals by Arron Gartley and one from Ross Kinsey secured the victory. VOTED BEST PLAYER was Michael Sackfield. Following a rare defeat the UNDER 10's TORNADOES quickly re-discovered the winning formula when they cruised to an emphatic victory over Barr Hill Aces. MAN OF THE MATCH Zach Booth (2) Taylor Share, Tom Walker, Alfie Belcher and Adam Kensit scored the goals. (6/2/2011) United's UNDER 16's failed to produce their best form in the home game with Urmston Town but they still had a bit more quality than their opponents and fully deserved a 4-1 victory. Brad Derbyshire gave Beechy the lead but Urmston Town equalised following a corner then Liam Parker put United back in front via a long range effort. Two goals in the second half from Alex Dryburgh who was making his debut guaranteed the win. (13/2/2011) Some bright and inventive football was played by the UNDER 7's TORNADOES in their game with De La Salle. MAN OF THE MATCH Adam Rothwell and Max O'Brien scored the goals. (19/2/2011) Involved in an excellent Stax City of Salford Soccer League fixture were the UNDER 13's STORM who drew 1-1 at home with Swinton Juniors. It was the visitors who went ahead early in the game but Callum McCarty equalised thanks to a fine solo effort. (26/2/2011)

The SATURDAY MORNING SENIOR TEAM went goal crazy in the quarter-final's of the Manchester Evening News Cup. In May 2011 Jaden Timmis (UNDER 9's STORM) took his first steps towards his footballing dreams after being snapped up by Premier League club Everton FC. Winton schoolboy Jaden had trained with a host of top-flight sides including Manchester City, Blackburn Rovers, Liverpool FC and his beloved Manchester United but the Beechfield United starlet was destined for Merseyside after the Toffees beat off fierce competition for his signature.Mum Kerry along with Jaden's dad Stephen faced road trips as far afield as Newcastle as the starlet tours the North of England in the FA Premier Academy League. But the road trips are a small price to pay to watch the fledgling winger step up to the next phase of a promising career.
