In the Lancashire FA Youth Cup the UNDER 14s had a decent run in the competition. They were involved in a thrilling 1st Round tie away against Rossendale Youth which finished level at 3-3 following extra time. In a tense penalty shoot-out which United won 4-3 keeper Ben Jenks became the instant hero when he brilliantly saved two spot kicks. Goalscorers including penalties were Dean Parry (3) Paul Hutchings (2) Jamie Rawson and Steven Thompson. (1/10/2000) United had to travel again in Round 2 when they were drawn to play Chorley St Gregory's. Thanks to a superb display Beechy cruised to an emphatic 8-0 victory courtesy of goals by Paul Hutchings (hat-trick) Dean Parry (hat-trick) Craig Kenny and Ben Jenks.( 22/10/2000) A 3-1 defeat in Round 3 by Stand Athletic Lads saw United exit from the competition. (Team Manager - Keith Bromiley)

A letter dated 8/10/2000 sent by Steve Wood (Recruitment Officer) offered Kane Bentley (UNDER 12s) the opportunity to trial with Bury Football Club's Centre of Excellence. The letter added that under FA requirements the named player was given seven days notice before any trial period commenced.
Beechfield United's 1ST TEAM finished as Runners Up in Division 2 of the Lancashire and Cheshire Amateur Football League. (Team Manager - George Worley) Senior Section leading goalscorer was Anthony Weall with 59 goals.
During the weekend of Saturday/Sunday 14th and 15th January 2001 only two games were played due to an heavy overnight frost. The UNDER 11s were well below-par in their match with De La Salle and after a poor first half trailed 3-0 at the interval. But in the second period the Beechy lads staged a spirited fightback and were rewarded with goals from Andy Daley and Luke Smith. Unfortunately De La Salle scored again to secure a 4-2 victory. Despite losing 6-1 to Padgate St Oswalds in the Altrincham Youth League South Division the UNDER 17s (B) team didn't play as bad as the scoreline might suggest. Several players gave good performances but it was Danny Duggan who won the Man of the Match Award. Gary Ramage scored United's consolation goal from the penalty spot.
Steve Ellison, Luke Smith, Alex Walton and Callum Wilkinson got the goals for the UNDER 11s who put on a sparkling display to finish 4-1 winners of an highly competitive match against Hindsford Juniors. The UNDER 12s were involved in an action packed encounter with Charlton Juniors which ended level at 4-4. The lead changed hands several times and on target for Beechy were Jamie Royle (hat-trick) and Dave Street. In their fixture at Boothstown Juniors the UNDER 14s created enough chances to have had the match won by half-time. But they regretted wasting those golden opportunities because Boothstown stole the show with a 3-1 win. United's only goal came courtesy of Gary Haslam. (11/2/01)
Ryan Farrelly scored seven goals and Alex Brogan hit five as the UNDER 13s beat Bridgewater Eagles 13-1. (11/3/01) Ryan netted five times in a 9-1 win against Moorside Rangers. (28/4/01) His final total for the season was 57.
In three games played during late April and early May 2001 Andy Wilson was on target eleven times for the 3RD TEAM who eventually finished as runner's-up in the Division C of the Lancashire and Cheshire Amateur Football League. (Team Manager - Barry Minshull)
It was time to celebrate for the UNDER 13s who were crowned Division B champions in the Salford Junior Sunday League following their 5-3 victory over Boothstown Juniors. The match was evenly balanced until the last fifteen minutes when United's superior strength and fitness proved to be the key factor. Ryan Farrelly scored four goals while Jamie Howell got the other and Team Manager Brendan Loughrey was certainly a proud and happy man after the final whistle. (6/5/2001)
On the 13th May 2001 in the Salford Junior Sunday League the UNDER 14s were involved in a fifteen goal thriller with Parkwyddn Juniors. A last minute goal earned Beechy an 8-7 victory. The goals came via Paul Hutchings (hat-trick) Stuart Musgrave (2) Dean Parry (2) and Craig Sharples. (Team Manager - Keith Bromiley)
UNDER 12s were beaten finalists in the Salford Junior Sunday League Knockout -Cup.
Despite being runner's-up in two cup final's the UNDER 17s (A) team did have a reason to celebrate after winning the Altrincham Youth League's North Division in bizarre circumstances. Opponents in the last two games Blackley Youth and Oldham Royals failed to fulfill the fixture so Beechy were awarded the points and with Eccles Amateurs resigning from the league United's name was engraved on the trophy. But United were beaten by Padgate St Oswalds in the final of the Champion of Champion's Cup and following a penalty shoot-out suffered defeat in the final of the Edgar Webb Cup against Fives Athletic U/21s (Team Manager - Ged Goodwin) The U/17s squad was Keith Donaghue, Marc Hinde, Nathan Adayfio, Colin Carter, David Walker, Danny Rowcroft, Darren Owen, Lee White, David Pettigrew, Wesley Aston, Ryan Williams, John Smith, Ryan Buckley, Sam Pilling and Michael Smith.
